I am LOL because I remember Patterson bringing Bruno and his then top sparring partner Gary Mason to Gleasons gym in NYC in 83.Bruno had his first gym fight with Renaldo Snipes and Snipes whipped Brunos ass it was brutal .Bruno left early he was so ashamed . Bruno was rumored for being on the juice then I remember well thats the only thing we knew about this British prospect that was brought to Gleasons his physique.
Big Bomber Bruno,He should have moved to the U.S as Mr Paterson said then we would have had a world beating heavy handed heavyweight, He never fulfilled his potential, but he was awesome all the same God Bless you Bomber.
I believe your comments are both cruel and certainly uncalled for. Scott was not a world beater but he was a perennial contender for several years. He defeated Marty Monroe, had a (admittedly shot) Ken Norton out on his feet and drew with Leon Spinks. Some people felt he defeated Ron Lyle, though Lyle was shot at the time too. He fought several high talented fighters, generally losing but putting up resistance all the way. Scott was not not a body beautiful person but wasn't overly fat. U jerk.
Scott has recently revealed that he has Lou Gehrig's Disease. On May 5, 2005, my cousin was diagnosed with this and she died on Dec. 27, 2007. She displayed a lot of courage during this time and I know Scott will, too. Scott, I'm praying for you. I know that you are going to fight this tooth and nail. Keep the faith.
@mkl62 - So did the legendary Ezzard Charles, often regarded as the greatest light heavyweight in the world. Most of his defeats come at a time when he was struggling with Lou Gehrig's. In fact, he gave Marciano an unforgettable beating before being outlasted by the younger, tougher unbreakable Marciano.
@BobdeBilde August 11 was my father's birthday. He died on December 28, 1974 (heart attack). Both he and my cousin were only 49. As stated on my previous post, she died one day before the anniversary of my father's death.
whats saddest is bruno didn't look like putting this loser away. right virtually not thrown= frightend in case he gets hit maybe after ko losses ? floyd soo right but lawless etc never wanted to let go of their gravy train. frank bless him never a true 'fighter', just lacked that merciless instinct entirely.
It was sad that frank never moved to america following the witherspoon fight in 1986. That would have helped him in the peak years of his career, Lawless overprotected him. After 1991, Mickey duff made him fight and win some hard fights against carl williams and Coetzier.

The last time I heard the name Scott LeDoux was when he was fighting Leon Spinks. This guy is oooooold.

Lol! getting Floyd Patterson to advise Bruno about defence! A guy that tasted the canvas umpteen times in the ring.
All joking aside though Patterson was an excellent fighter.

Gandil, you are the definition of an oxymoron! You have some balls with your comments about Ledoux! Who the hell did you ever fight or beat?

Patterson was one of the class acts of boxing. It is unreal on how good he looked here. I believed he died of Alzaheimers. RIP Floyd.

This would be LeDoux's last fight. He was a tough, scrappy contender. Bruno of course, was the epitome of a knockout fighter way back in 1983.

Very astute comments from Patterson. Bruno would have benefited from more time in American gyms with better sparring.
