BEAUTIFUL song. I obviously bought the wrong release of ELAHE, as this is missing on my cd . It isn't the first time I wonder why the best TFF-tracks end up as bonus tracks, or worse, -are left off only to eventually show up on some hidden B-side. Anyway, I love almost everything these guys produce, so I have nothing to complain about:-)
@TilsloertBondepike66 I found the European version with this track on iTunes but you have to really search all keywords. This will cost more than the US version.
Excellent work on this video! I also didn't realize the Euro version had the extra tracks until after I purchased mine. I ended up buiying the Euro version also. I like the extra tracks.
The main thing I find mindboggling about songs like this by TFF, when they sing it, it sounds fantastic and interesting, whereas if anybody else covers it, it immediately sounds boring. Often, there isn't a lot of jumps and leaps in the vocal line, which would cause this, but somehow TFF makes it work :|
After accidentally finding this video on youtube I had to add this song to my playlist.
I would have released this as the first single of the album to highlight Orzabal's haunting vocals. This reminds me of a Cake song with similar tone. (Please note I have not listened to the whole album.)
After accidentally finding this video on youtube I had to add this song to my playlist.
I am not a true TFF fan because they frustrate me in allowing music labels to dictate their marketing. I would have released this as the first single of the album to highlight Orzabal's haunting vocals. (Please note I have not listened to the whole album.)
Should have been on the US version of ELAHE,, to beautiful to have almost missed!! Roland artistic as ever, still was last August in Boston, MA.,, And Curt,,, theres nothing much better then he is!!
Great song. Not on the original release of the album in the uk but you can get ithe album with this song and also Pulling a Cloud which is another great track.
Long time no talk. I'm quite sure you wont remember me, however, I was looking for the single "The Madness Of Roland" and you said you could get me the MP3 version, Well, after reading this, I'm wondering if you can get me this one as well. (OOC)? I never heard back from you so the same goes for TMOR. :) Pretty please.
I'm so sorry! I remember saying I could get it, why I didn't respond I don't know! If you want to private message me and give me your email, I'll get these to you in about 20 hours
@chscristian You should get the song "until i drown" because it is the best unknown TFF song ever, I can recommend the new edition of Raoul and the Kings of Spain (with bonus tracks)
WOW!!! Amazing job! I bought this cd twice. The first time I bought it, it happen to be the American release. Then I found out that there were bonus tracks on the European release, and even before I heard them, I had to buy that one too. This song blew me away the first time I heard! I'm a huge Roland Orzabal fan and you can so tell that he had everything to do with this one! Bravo samello555!
yea me too. then I found a third release with Floatin down the river and I think one more song. then an exclusive song was released from that era that could only be downloaded from one of those music sights. Im always hunting for that kinda stuff. If U were lucky, u got to hear Cold Planet from Elemental era. It was on youtube 4 a while under Nourset. but it was removed at Rolands request I understand...happy hunting!
Yes thanks to nourset, I had the chance to hear Cold Planet! Amazing!!! I have Floating Down The River on the Secrets Live dvd/cd set! If you don't have it, get it!!! I'm always looking for obscure stuff too.
what? theres a secrets live dvd? I ll have to hunt then online. when im able im gonna have to post some of my rareist TFF collectables. I did find some roland work under the name Mancrab. then I understand he did some soundtrack work for the movie fith element. those are probably the rarest, have u heard them?
Yes I've heard the stuff from The Fifth Element movie but not the Mancrab stuff. Is it on the tube? He also wrote the song Swords and Knives for the film Sid and Nancy but it was rejected because the song wasn't punk enough. He should be greatful for that because the film sucked! LOL!
Yes it is from SOL. It's an amazing lyric if you know the story behind Nancy's life. And yes I did find Mancrab. You can tell from that very first note that Roland had his hands on that 1. I guess that was for the movie The Karate Kid.

Wonder why OOC was excluded from the original release. Possibly the best song on the album. Or who killed T?

This proves that TFF is more than a lot of bands, included Oasis!

I'm a huge TFF and Oasis fan, but I do think they are two different bands.

Alright. But TFF's renditions to the Beatles are more interesting-

My favourite line in this song is "Searching for a lifeline or a band aid for your sins in the morning mail". How clever is that!!!
ajittffcure 2 years ago 2
Yep, I have been doing it all my life. Just couldn't put it in a clever way... but, hey, this is Roland. He can do it all. Damn poet.
He has the power to stir things inside of you that few can.
Butterflyneverlands 2 years ago 2
What a great interpretation!!
I can feel a big suffering in the Roland voice.....He's not only a singer, he's a real artist!
Thanks to Samello (Samuel!) as usual for his great work and to Butterfly for the "advice", i didn't know this song!!
Five stars as usual!!

Sorry for the scattered comments... not my intention to amuse of confuse... or was it??? =)
Too much you say I ask?
I know I ask for the sky. Once I was told that one can reach the sky and I believed it. =)
Again, have a blast and come back soon.

"Kurma Mantra", not 'Come the mantra', I strongly believe is the lyric, despite all the misgiving lyrics websites....
Thanks for uploading!
