@Estileese no kidding! Are you trying to give advice here? Herkimer diamonds are a type of quartz and that is what this mine is. I geuss that kinda flew over your head. But thanks just the same for trying to be helpful.
@Spiritofequis dude! This video and price is from three years ago. Besides, as far as business savvy goes, I seem to be doing alright for myself.......... Yikes! Gotta Jet! Off to my next exciting adventure..............
I live right by St.Johnsville and would love to dig here. $20 sounds a bit steep to dig though since Diamond Acres is right down the road and only charges $2/day....even the big mines charge $10 or less.

That twinned crystal with the rod inside. If you ever find out what the mineral is, you ought to update the description. It almost makes me think of tourmaline (which can be anywhere from emerald green to completely black and opaque) but I'm not sure if that can occur in quartz.

Good luck with your venture- I love heriker dimonds (double terminated quartz)- they're beautiful and very... clarifying. Hope you make it!

20 bucks in this economy, when all the other mines are charging WAY LESS??? Not a very business savvy move.
