Old King Coal is the only boss you need to beat in order to access the train. However, I also recommend killing the two dragons in Hailfire Peaks. They are SO annoying.

I love going to see Mumbo after I found a pad, so once I found one I go to the skull and pop in (and I have low EVERYTHING), and so there he is sleeping and I'm like "Um, this is weird." and then when I talk to him and hear about his surprise, and that he's ALREADY getting up, I get confused, then he zaps me and explains he's an impersonator, and I'm like "Oh CRAP". @BrainEatingMeteor Well, technically, if Old King Coal touches you he hurts you, if you touch the lava while it's heating up it hurts you and if you don't deplete his health quickly enough, you run out of oxygen so he CAN hurt you.

It's just borderline impossible to actually suffer damage from any of these things.

The required bosses are Klungo, Old King Coal and Gruntilda/Hag 1.

@NPINHEIRO19 Obviously you need to defeat Hag 1 as it is the final boss, but the only other one you technically need to defeat is Old King Coal. He gives you access to Chuffy, which is the only way to get inside of Grunty Industries, in which you can get the Claw Clamber Boots, which is the only way to gain access to Cauldron Keep and ultimately Hag 1. At no stage is it necessary to defeat Mingy Jongo (unless you're going for 100%)

@NPINHEIRO19 No, Old King Coal and Hag 1 because You need to defeat Old KIng Coal to get the train, so you can use it to get inside Grunty Indrustries to learn the Claw Clamber Shoes. So you can get to Cauldron Keep to do the Tower of Tragety and then to Hag one.

@Banjokazooiegurl, I have a strategy for Old King Coal for you. Try it out! It works for me, so it will work for you. Find your way to the place where Jamjars gives you ice eggs. Then go to Chuffy's Boiler and start the battle wth Old King Coal. The ice eggs will count for 5 hits with normal eggs. Use them and you can finish him in less than a minute! And for Mingy Jongo, when the homing lasers come, just jump and go left right before they would hit you. I hope these help!

But that doesnt detract from the fact that i have played through banjo kazooie, and now have a special place in my heart for it. just wondering has anyone ever tried (after hitting him the first time) when he's on the floor just use gold feathers and push the stick just traight forward. its funny it pins him to death but only after the first blow (cause of small cut scene). Gold feathers gets you out of trouble easy
