Hey, I'm sure they've won alot of money from us over the years so it most likely didn't cost them too much. My friends and I go to Vegas once a year, every year at the same time since we turned 21 and they treated us very well at the Stardust. Just one of the reasons why we always stayed there.

The Frontier REALLY needed to go, but the Stardust was still awesome.
The Stardust was not in disrepair or suffering from financial problems.
Boyd gaming just took the payoff for that expensive piece of land.
The new "Echelon" just ran out of funding,and will probably never be completed.
Oh well, even if that land sits empty for 15 years, the Stardust is already gone.
