  • got elements of Peruvian panpipe music in there lol strange but nice

  • @shariotoflove .... is a very, very introspecttion to the music. But, is a great aproximattion to the adaptattion to de s.XXII, reality ?.

  • @0406611 yes but if this rendition where to be played to a 17th century audience...they would totally understand it still, no?

  • Who is the artist on this?? I heard this by chance a few months ago and have been searching for this song and this version. Beautiful!! Thanks for posting.

  • bellísimo!

  • great performance, full sound, nice percussion, improvisatory feel! good upload Afrikisun. i wonder how much these canarios are really based on native African music/dances.

  • @s2p3c and proof of your wild speculation is what?

  • speculation about? the african origin of canarios? the term canarios comes from the Canary Islands, which lie off the African coast, which became settled mostly by the Spanish but which had previous native populations. I've read in many CD inserts that, according to period sources, the dance was represented as being one from the islands' natives. Whether this is true or not, who knows. Google "granada doaba flamencologia" and the 1st result gives some relevant info, chapter 1 paragraph 7
