I had these, but Spiderman's costume wasn't quite right and they were flimsy as hell--not nearly as good as today's action figures--which only middle-aged men can afford to buy.
@kitn64 Mine was seven bucks. Between stuff like this and the numerous Enterprise models I bought and destroyed, my allowance was tapped pretty hard. I wish I had just saved the money; with compound interest, I'd have tens of thousands of dollars and could thus have afforded Starbucks for almost a week.
I had all the figures and vehicles, but I didn't have the batcave or spideralley. I was born in '77 so these must have been my first action figures and must have stayed on the shelves for a few years because i still have batman, robin, batmobile, and spiderman and they all have 1978 on figures. I doubt I got them until '80 but anything is possible. Thanks for the great video.
I remember the Mego Spider-Man. I remember wondering "why would Spidey need a car?" Also, note how Mego made zero effort to make Spidey's costume resemble the comic book version.
I don't think Mego ever produced the Batcave.

I had the Hulk. My bro had Spidey, It seems to me that they made him resemble a person wearing shades in pajamas.
