  • @apstockton, awesome, glad you could "get 'er dun!"

  • Good video. Made me feel confident that I could do the job quickly. I was able to replace both of them without removing the back panel. Spaces were very tight but it can be done. Of course 30 years ago I used to work on VW Beetle engines so tight spaces are nothing new to me. Thanks for the video.

  • @baeswyn Thank You, just wanted to spread the news and keep someone from paying 120 for a service call.

  • I did mine (a Sears (Canada) C4216) yesterday. Trick was to use a 1-2" of ½" copper pipe to put over the end of the pin to hold the pin in so you can slide the pin out. I used that trick for a couple of the pins, and pulled them, and used vice grips to push other ones out

I was able to replace both shocks from the front, which saved me the grief of pulling the whole thing out (and disconnecting the stacked dryer).

Parts were $60 for a pair of shocks from local parts place.

  • @brynen You shoulda checked ebay, 11 bucks I paid for mine.
