  • POLTERGEIST OMG IT IS OF THE 2000s

  • Children of Corn o_O? WTF

  • i bet u cant get out of this vid by clicking the other vids and u cant skipp the vid u must watch it

  • Eso, cual es la razón por la cual eligen tan mala música.

  • I would have liked this video, if not for the tags -_-

  • And the shining is a suspense/thriller

  • evil dead is a black/dark comedy not a horror film

  • bloody valetine is not a 80s movie

  • @hentai142 the original was 1981you thinking of the 2009 remake my bloodt valentine 3d

  • my bloody valentine does not suck

  • i thought the original children of the corn should have been in here and my bloody valentine sucks

  • Children of the corn??

    o__o

  • the tags are the funniest

  • Poltergeist is a horror movie? I've found it quite funny :]

  • Also, the 80s "The Thing" is a remake of a 1951 movie. The 1950s movie, in my opinion, is a way better movie.

  • Sorry you missed "Braindead" when you posted your list.

  • @DreamofWires

    braindead/dead alive is 90s

  • Day of the Dead? Not my favorite of the "Dead" movies, but it was still one of the best horror movies in the 80s. Someone else posted "Braindead" aka "Dead Alive.". Awesome movie. Sick.

  • whoops! The Shining is '79.

  • Reallly...Terrible and ugly Music for the video

  • children of the corn revolution but no the thing? ultra mega fail!

  • Really terrible music.

  • Speaking of J. Carpenter, another 1 of his movies from the 80's era that deserves billing is 1987's Prince of Darkness. 4 sum reason, that never seems 2 get the recognition it deserves. Plenty of 'edge of your seat' moments thruout begng to end. Come 2 think bout it, 1 of its memorable moments has Alice Cooper playing the leader of a satan worshipping mob that consists of zombie-minded homeless people. I mean, if a movie can make Alice Cooper scarier than he is already, it deserves 2 b ranked!

  • Definately agree having The Shining up at the top. Trying 2 think what would be my choices but do know that The Shining is in my top 2 no doubt. I agree w/othersthat it should've been included somewhere. The suspense that stays built up nonstop from arnd the 15 min mark thruout til the end along w/the resembling 'heartbeat' type music that's typical John Carpenter makes the flic a horror classic

  • @DT24K Shining was from the 70s, but whatev

  • I agree with a lot of the others in here who would have liked to see Carpenter's THE THING on this list.

  • you should have put the thing on here

  • oi where is return of the living dead may i ask

  • @Kinggamerz951 Amazing Film dude I have 1 & 2 on DVD except 2 doesn't have the original score (music) that it had in the original VHS release dude

  • I liked this... It was an interesting list of diffrent genres of horror like psycho killer to guts and gore.

  • I freaking LOVED Friday the 13th, Pet Semetary, and The Shining!

  • there shit...

  • I clicked on this expecting to see the thing at #1. I stopped watching after that dude up there said it wasn't on here.

  • Friday the 13th Halloween Puppetmaster Braindead Cannibal holocaust Hellraiser Nightmare on elm-street Gremlins The hills have eyes Black christmas mah list winz.
  • shit music and stills! stop wasting everyones time!

  • What's the name of the song?

  • Puppetmaster!! Cmon no ones mentioned it

  • @Woodsyeighty1 Puppetmaster aint as famous as these im afraid, which is a shame.

  • The Thing, American Werewolf in London, The Howling, Fright Night, Lost Boys...Damn Dude you missed a few here! This decade should have been a top 20

  • evil dead should have gotten 2

    re-animator 1

  • evil dead should have gotten 1 or 2

  • love poltergeist

  • Where's The Forest and Cannibal Campout and Woodchipper Massacre?

  • Great movies, but why nog 80ies Hair Metal or Goth Rock in the soundtrack? :p

  • The THING, Child's Play, Aliens, Predator,The Blob, an American Werewolf in London, Creepshow, Return of the living dead, Phenomena, The serpent and the rainbow, Dead Ringers, Demons 1-2, Intruder, Maniac Cop, Fright Night, House, Phantasm 2, Stepfather, The Prowler. Just a little addition LOL!

  • @junkyturd Don't forget Madman, Home Sweet Home, Crazy Ethel 2, The Forest, Woodchipper Massacre, Sleepaway Camp, Summer Camp Nightmare, Cannibal Campout, Cannibal Ferox, Cannibal Holocaust, The Ghoulies, Ghoulies II and Troll.

  • @Luigi84289 goulies, goulies 2 gremlins beats thoses easily in the 80's

  • @Nintendowaffles did you read the whole comment? I typed Ghoulies and Ghoulies II.

  • @junkyturd agree childs play and american werewolf should be on that list, that film scared me half to death

  • @junkyturd Aliens? C'mon..! It was a pure action movie. A L I E N!

  • @TheScumper That's what i meant sorry i typed fast without thinking

  • @junkyturd Hey, don't sorry me :-) Everyone does mistakes, so do I. NP man & cheers!

  • exelent list

  • i think the exorcist tops the list

  • @jokerpokerr That came out in the 70s. This is a list of movies from the 80s.

  • To the person who said that Alien is not horror. This idiot knows nothing about the mixing of genere. Alien is a sci fi horror. Learn what the term means. Other than that, shut the fuck up. I have been looking at movies before that person was even born.

  • thumb's up if you think at 3:00 the family guy

  • The maker of this vid knows NOTHING about horror classics. Pet Sematary was trash.

The Best Horror Movies of the 1980s:

Aliens, Poltergeist, Evil Dead, The Thing, VideoDrome, A Nightmare on Elmstreet, Child's Play, Friday the 13th, The Dead Zone, Creepshow

  • @ARepublicanVictory alien isn't a horror movie

  • from the shining, where are those twins today?

  • @stuckinthecities ali cook and adi strauss

  • Comment removed

  • So they had the crapfest Friday the 13th (1980) in here, but not the awesomeness of John Carpenter's The Thing (1982)? Bullcrap.

  • @Largo4589 To give the guy some credit, maybe he considered The Thing as sci-fi, rather than horror. But I don't know.

  • @Largo4589

totally...Friday the 13th is bullshit...Halloween (1978) its WAY WAY WAY better

  • @Largo4589 Crapfest? It wasnt THAT bad...

  • The exorcist is missing.

  • Is the shining even a horror? I'd say its a thriller

  • Wow, terrible list, apparently someone hasn't watched much 80s horror as there is nothing but mainstream releases here. Sure, many of them are great, but you have to dig deeper to get to the best.

  • @ericmyford I would've included Basket Case and The Howling at least.

  • lol@ THE shining
