I dont agree with Buzz, I think they should go to the moon again, but this time with the goal of a manned lunar station as a jump off point to mars... But that's me, and I dont know what truly would be better for the men that will eventually travel to mars, maybe Buzz does know better, but I think the station on the moon could help out alot when it comes time to go to mars, less shit we have to lift off of earth in the vehicle that will take us to MARS.

People on here talk about the radiation that apparently would be deadly to the astronauts, a barrier in space known as the Van Allen belts. Apparently Van Allen himself said this would be deadly to manned missions.

We are alive for the most part due to a magnetic shield that deflects the majority of Solar Radiation. The ionosphere helps absorb gamma radiation from gamma ray bursts.
