Everything about this show is Italian, from the Judges to the Challenger to the ingredient. Why wasn't Batali the Iron Chef? And my god the challenger was hot, too bad she didn't make out with  Donatella.

I've seen a competitor win about 5 or 6 times while watching Iron Chef and Iron Chef: America.... Why do Iron Chefs always win? Does it give a boost to the networks' own chefs and ratings or what?

Definitely the youngest chef EVER in ICA, and maybe the bravest, but maybe if she wanted a win, she should have challenged IC Forgione or Cora.

Still, Mozzarella is a difficult ingredient to work outside of pizza or salad. So far, they've shown Goat, Blue, Cheddar, Gruyere, Ricotta, Mascarpone, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and Mozzarella. Maybe the next cheese battle will be Battle Swiss or Jack Cheese.

but what you said if pretty interesting. i don't think it'd be a really good method, but certainly one to consider. that would really heighten your senses if you were blind folded. but at the same time, they really observe what they're eating. like with meat or other similar things, the judges tend to look at the inside of the meat and see the texture/colour/etc
