I think you're confused. Patrick's highest place for the Indy 500 was 3rd in 2009. In fact, her only career win was in Japan in 2008. Check your facts and recognize the sportsmanship that these girls displayed.

Well, if you were specifically referring to the race she won in Japan then I guess you have a fair base to complain since "Indy" is road/track F1 racing. Ultimately though, an act of victory is out-shined by an act of camaraderie and that is what ESPN and the ESPY awards recognized here.
