  • it was shark

  • log

  • I've seen champy he is just a sturgeon but sturgeons aren't sopposed to be that big

  • To me that looks like either a duck or a turtle... We have a lot of both ducks and turtles.

  • that is not champ. you can see the body and neck is rigid

  • It's a log or a tree branch, look how it wobbles back and forth with the waves.

  • I take back my otter comment. That is a double crested cormorant paddling along head up. Another common site on the lake. Far too narrow neck n head to be an otter.

  • It's an otter. I've seen them swimming in the lake like that many, many times. Fresh water otter, aka river otter.

  • its a duck or something like that

  • It looks like a snickers bar. You should have grabbed it and eaten it.

  • @mplebanon prehistoric snickers possibly?

  • is duck daffy

  • @romeosote correction daffy duck not duck daffy...

  • @romeosote its daffy duck learn ur looneytoons characters

  • too small .. too short .. could be anything ..

  • Its a Whale

  • Its a whale.

  • Its a whale.

  • dwarf killer whale

  • its a stick!

  • this is unbelievable

  • looks like a duck

  • i think Champ is real but i know thats fake

  • DRIFT WOOD! :D

  • it's a branch carried by the waves

  • It looks like a loon from the angle of the neck.

  • its mot a monster

  • omg its just a stick ):D

  • Looks like a floating stick, note how it wobbles as the waves go by.

  • not to mention its too small to be a monster compared to the size of the wakes around it.

    its just a stick.

    nice try though

  • Thats a turtle

  • Could be a otter sticking its head out!

  • it's a log!!! its going backwards

  • bird on a log

  • it looks like a big duck

  • It's a big turtle floating around with his neck stuck out. If you spend much time on Champlain or Lake George you see this a lot.

  • then thats a PRETTY BIG TURTLE!!!!!!

  • Oh yeah and logs move that quickly in a straight line. I believe this is a toothed whale trapped in the lake.

  • its hardly moving,,,,,,, toothed whale in the lake? omg-you better see someone about that

  • theres thousands of peices of drif wood in lake champlain

  • yes but can drift wood have a neck

  • i believe in champ. i think this could be him...it looks just like all the other shots of champ, so why not? let's face it...whether you like it or not, There's Something In The Water.

  • Snapping Turtle

  • ITS A LOG

  • looks like a duck or some sort of water bird :P

  • Its probably a log.

  • yeah prittey weird its swimming backweards

  • what exactly is the "champ"? I know what the ogopogo and nessie is, but I also heard of the "champ". but unlike the ogopogo and nessie, I don't know what it is.

  • It's a creature that is BELIEVED to live in lake champlain. it's all a myth!

  • champ's the same as the other two.

  • If we knew what they were there wouldn't be such mystery around them. But if you know what nessie and the ogopogo are, I'd love to hear it.

  • "Champ" is just like "Nessie", supposedly a Plesiosaur.

  • looks like a swimming bird.

  • looks convincing but no movement what so ever ... gonna say not champ

  • It looks exactly like the new one taken at oakledge park

  • i dont think its a log but i dont think its champ.

it looks like some type of fish

  • I once thought I saw champy but it came really close to shore and we could tell it was a log. Not saying this is but ya. If you watch the recently posted video of champy sighted he looks exactly like that, just facing the other way.

  • it sort of looks like a loon or another kind of lake bird

  • a log with a neck? baby champ

  • log much?

  • sorry, but no. its like, three feet long lol.

  • Sorry, but that's a log floating on the water.... it's really obvious =P I do believe that the possibility of something being out there is possible, but that really looks like a log =D

  • it looks like a seal lol

  • Oh yeah...it's a log...

  • definitely not champ hahaha, i'm gonna vote no

  • Log chilling in the sun :-}!

  • Log... you can see it bob up and down in the waves

  • nice log you got there

  • Logs, usually, dont have heads or tails...

  • nice ... there is nice wood ;)

  • may be a fish

  • its a duck!

  • it cant be a duck

look at its back, its fuckin huge

  • Chunk of wood.

  • ah champ. xD i believe in champy. my aunts like right there in grand isle :D

  • Haha, Can you say log???

  • I'm not exactly sure wat is was, but on my lake there r some big loons that look like dat

  • its a duck

  • other than seeing it through a camera

    did you see anything else

like could you see it from where you were??

    and i believe it!

im studying champ right now! :)

  • is a duck

  • I'm a champ beleiver, but that is cleary either a log or a fish, there are several large fish in lake champlain.

  • I BELIEVE!!! TEHE Rock on champ wooohooo!

  • hey broncos314!

    this summer2009

    i am going to go

    to the lake on vacation,

    if i get footage(if i am lucky)

    i will post for you.

    thanks for posting

  • Log with a branch sticking up? The "head" never moves. Animals move

  • I no wat u mean ,BUT that could be its back instead of its head!!

  • Besides, CHAMP is usually though of as being incredibly fast.

  • *gasp* OMG! It's a shadow in the water..or its something dark breaching the surface..It moved! How come everything little thing that happens in the water, people automatically think its NESSIE?!

  • loon, they look like that on sunny days out on the ocean, the ocean and large bodies of water play tricks with the human eye

  • piece of driftwood

  • It's a weather balloon!

  • Its a LOON ( Great Northern Diver )filmed out-of-focus. God, people think they can get away with perpetrating ANY SORT OF FRAUD and people won't figure it out.

  • whales dont live in a lake in new york/vermont i live like 10 mins away from there

  • Duck

  • Looks like a log bobbing up and down.

  • I Think thats an orca

  • Thats a DUCK!!

  • WHOA! LOOK AT THE AWESOME stick.

  • DanielShallows: News to you, the lake is like 393 feet deep or something. I dont think champ is that tall but that is one of the deepest parts at Tompson Point too. BUt i mean cant they go in the water when they see champ???????

  • it's a loon! RRUUNN! its gunna eat u

  • Whale, it's moving to the right with the fin in the back.

  • lake champlain monster? or a stick >:( looks like a stick

  • It's a log or something

    It's moving with the water

Champ stands on the lake floor and sticks his head out

  • Ha, champ is not a prehistoric monster...

It's a new species of whale or dolphin. It could even be a sub-species of beluga.

  • aw so small.. lol

  • cormorant or a duck, i live on lake champlain and there are tons of cormorants, they float on the water differently than ducks. More of their body is submerged and normally only there head and neck are visible.

  • Maybe a otter showing its tail to mimick a log.

  • its a log. u can see by the way its just floating

  • looks like drift wood

  • obviously a whale. u can see its dorsal phin not a neck of a sea "creature"

  • there no freakin whales in lake champlain!

  • champ is a whale!!

only one animal has aquatic echolocation...toothed whales

  • Whales dont have necks. xD lol

  • Absolutely,champ is a Beluga or dolphin.

  • actually, yes there are. lake champlain used to be part of the ocean but then it closed up trapping other various sea life that had 2 choices:adapt or die

  • It's a Dratini! Pokemon XD.

  • yeah it's fake probably floating wood

  • no thats fake u can tell its like floating i mean if it was champ why would it just float there not moving except for floating backwards that doesn't make any sense

  • it was probably some submarine.

  • im guessing its either a dolphin or drift wood

  • Maybe a dead body? ..lol

  • Could've been a floating log most likely, but it seemed kind of....alive, idk.

  • wood or a stugeon. It looks like it has a dorsol fin.

  • thats driftwood at a weird angle that looks like one part of it is coming out of the water and animal wouldnt sit in the same place and bob out of water

  • maybe a stergion (i can't spell) tail? IDK

  • It kind of looks like a duck or something.

  • That's what I thought. It looked like a duck standing on a floating log.

  • it looked like a big duck lol

  • lol i woulld love to see some real footage of champ

but im pretty sure thats just a peice of floating garbage

or something.. coz it didnt move or anything in the slightest

but just bobbed with the tide.

  • As much I would love to say that you filmed champ there, being a stout believer in such things, this time I'mma gonna have to side with the realists and say that's definitely a nice big log you got there, buddy.

  • the head was moving

  • It's a turtle.

  • the neck was to long

  • it's wrong

  • wow that is scary! everyone run! or swim!

  • notice how the "head" and the "body" don't seem to quite connect. this is probably because it is a floating log that is bobing up and down.

  • yeah ever heard of underwater?

  • its a shark throw me a frikin bone hers

  • idk iam not conviced by this vid but on tv that conviced me tho but...... idk caucse it....................i realy dont know

  • M'kay, I hate to burst ya'lls little "Champ" bubble, but I, for one, beleive that that so called "Champ" is a LOG!!!

  • it looks like an overturned boat

  • its probably some fat kid on a raft

  • someone said it was just a piece of tree or something floating and the thing sticking out of the water is just a branch

  • Ducky! lol

  • Theese must all be fake, I'm sure the lake monster would go under and come up, Like a Dolphine or Whale, You know?

  • its a log with a branch sticking up. i mean come on. its an easy mistake for the person who took the video at the time but its not a dolphin or whale

  • its a bird, people. its called a cormorant. iv seen them many many times, its native to new england. i cant believe people actually though it was some crazy sea creature.

  • oh my goodness. its a bird. you can see its head swiveling around, its quite obviously a cormorant. which is a kind of bird that mostly sticks to water and fishes. yikes.

  • Looks like that otter footage..

  • its a duck

  • it's a floating log...

  • theres more than1 you dumb asses.ive seen em bitches.

  • its a whale.

  • there's no whales in lakes

  • It's moving backwards!!! how come nobodys mentioned that? It's totally fake! (Well, i mean, its no hoax, but that is definately not a monster, nor any living thing for that matter.

  • lol its going backwards

  • bird... or somethin :P not champ tho

  • champ is much more longer ive seen him

  • this is probably just a shark, or an extremely big fish, or champ, or a fat person

  • Some sort of whale or dolphin. Note on the whale part: Whales aren't all gigantic 30 metre long ones.

  • a shark you can see the fin

  • 100% sure it's a monster, the way it moves.. the way it's kinda blurry.. and also the way it just floats in the water and doesn't move. It's a monster. I'm sure of it.

  • It's a whale.

  • Is that a duck?

  • the law protecting him..ur so full of BS..i lived in vermont....ok never heard once the law is protectig a non exsistant champ...get a life

  • Hey! He is swimming backward!

  • its the twilight zone!

  • is it just me or that thing or if it was chap was moving its head well if it really was champ

  • im sure its a living annimal but if this video was shot at an ocean its a shark or if it was shot at lake Champlain it was a big fish

  • this is a floating log ppl get over it

  • It looks like a whale or something

  • it doesnt seem to be moving, probably a stick.

  • It's a loon!

  • yea dude thats not champ. hes much bigger

  • it was a bird, maybe a loon

  • My god its a log.............

  • no its definetly a alive log :D

  • haha. yes, a KILLER live log.

  • Kudos to you sir... Kudos....

  • this is reall been ther and saw it but i came ther 4 days in a row and sat ther on me boat for about 6 hours with a video camera

  • It's bobbing with the waves a little to easily to be anything really big. Probably a dead log; they float to the surface all the time.

  • It's a sleeping whale.

  • the monsters name is Champ and commonly known as the U.S.'s Nessie, they have so many sightings of Champ they even have laws protecting him. And actually there is more evidence pointing to Champs existence then to Nessies

  • If it is some kind of unidentified animal there has to be more than one. That would explain why there are so many sightings. I think this is a duck or a log. It bobs too much to be anything big.

  • looks like a river otter

  • if it is then that has to be the biggest river otter i've ever seen
