Why isn't Lamhe (sridevi) a hit even though its now a classic, why isn't Kagaaz Ke Phool a hit (Guru Dutt) even though it is a masterpiece? why isn't Pakeezah a hit? Same goes with Mrityudand, Black, etc. If you judge every single film in terms of hit or flop then I am afraid you have no idea how to watch a film. A film cannot be judged solely based on that. The movie was ighly entertaining and rani yet again proved that she can play anything. be it the deaf, bilind girl in Black, or the battered woman in Yuva, to a prostitute in Sawaariya and Laga Chunari, to a simple and demure girl in Paheli to a glam doll in chalte chalte. She is the most versatile actresses in the industry.

well thats your opinion. for me, when I first saw the promos the first impression I had was that it would be an entertaining movie for me. And when I finally watched the film it was exactly that for me. what you should do is not force your opinion on someone else because we have 2 different viewpoints both of which are valid. so saying things like " you're wrong, and I am right" is stupid. because there is nothing wrong in me liking the film. Just b/c you didn't like it doesn't mean I will not.
I respect Taran Adarsh's viewpoints but his viewpoints are his. it did not stop me from watching the film and from liking it. Just b/c he said it does not mean thats the end. However he unanimously praised Rani's performance and that is whats important to me. I went there not only to watch the film but mostly to watch Rani b/c yet again she did sth very different. She is the most versatile actress of her generation.

I think you have a difficulty understanding and reading english and need to enroll your self into an ESL program. I had mentioned earlier that regardless of the outcome of the film I still watched it and liked it a lot. I know the outcome of the movie at the box office already. If I like what I see I watch the promos, I read the previews and if I like the artists and the director I go watch it, then I form my own opinion and express it but I never discourage anyone from watching it because they might like it. @vixter1980 Tell me this. Why isn't Omkara a hit even though its a fantastic movie? Why isn't Lamhe (sridevi) a hit even though its now a classic, why isn't Kagaaz Ke Phool a hit (Guru Dutt) even though it is a masterpiece? why isn't Pakeezah a hit? Same goes with Mrityudand, Black, etc. If you judge every single film in terms of hit or flop then I am afraid you have no idea how to watch a film. A film cannot be judged solely based on that. You have to look at the performance (fantastic by Rani)

@sabbirsa, well I agree with u there, but all the movies u named all had something good to offer, but this movie dill bole hadippa had nothing, even rani's performance is normal, not something special, and shahid kapoor was sidelined, even the story sucked, now u tell me, wots so good about these movies, all the other movies had something to offer, but this one was pure garbage. I remember, no one was happy coming out of the theaters, rani was the best in black, but in this one she was average

@vixter1980 Actually people did like rani a lot in the movie. many notable critics like taran adarsh unanimously praised rani's performance. The movie was ighly entertaining and rani yet again proved that she can play anything. be it the deaf, bilind girl in Black, or the battered woman in Yuva, to a prostitute in Sawaariya and Laga Chunari, to a simple and demure girl in Paheli to a glam doll in chalte chalte. She is the most versatile actresses in the industry.

@sabbirsa, no ur wrong, ranis performance maybe appreciated, but the movie sucked, it was not at all entertaining, people were bored of it, the movie the plot the climax was all crap, and this is a fact not only my verdict. Go to all notable critics like Taran Adarsh said "Final word? You expect DIL BOLE HADIPPA to score a century, like several films churned out by Yash Raj. But it settles down in the half-century range. Strictly average!", he was nice enough to give it an average,but i sayflop

well thats your opinion. for me, when I first saw the promos the first impression I had was that it would be an entertaining movie for me. And when I finally watched the film it was exactly that for me. what you should do is not force your opinion on someone else because we have 2 different viewpoints both of which are valid. so saying things like " you're wrong, and I am right" is stupid. because there is nothing wrong in me liking the film. Just b/c you didn't like it doesn't mean I will not.

I respect Taran Adarsh's viewpoints but his viewpoints are his. it did not stop me from watching the film and from liking it. Just b/c he said it does not mean thats the end. However he unanimously praised Rani's performance and that is whats important to me. I went there not only to watch the film but mostly to watch Rani b/c yet again she did sth very different. She is the most versatile actress of her generation.

@sabbirsa, heres another review by Naresh Malhotra: More of a Sayappa (trouble) than Hadippa (hurrah), this movie by India’s leading production house is simply boring, clichéd, unimaginative and leaves you with a regretful feeling of having wasted your time and money on the recycled rehash from YRF’s previous hits.

@vixter1980 as have mentioned before everyone is entitled to their own opinion. fortunately though because I have a mind of my own I am able to ignore them as they are not important. You are not a film critic and despite all your barking like a mad rabid dog people did go and watched the movie regardless of its outcome. Chill, relax and enjoy the song. too much barking is not good for health.

I think you have a difficulty understanding and reading english and need to enroll your self into an ESL program. I had mentioned earlier that regardless of the outcome of the film I still watched it and liked it a lot. I know the outcome of the movie at the box office already. But I don;t watch films solely by listening to the opinions of critics and people like you. If I did that that I would miss out on films like Lamhe, Kagaaz Ke phool, Zubeidaa, Fiza, Black, Yuva etc.

I don;t ask others about their viewpoint for a particular film. If I like what I see I watch the promos, I read the previews and if I like the artists and the director I go watch it, then I form my own opinion and express it but I never discourage anyone from watching it because they might like it. I am not going to ruin it for them as I am not in any kind of a mission like you. For example recently I saw the reviews for Raavan. they were negative but I still went and watched it.
