  • that looks like a heavy haul..great vid..

  • Did you hear about the Eastport Spur is re-opening soon. Domtar, Irving, & NBSR are looking at options right now to get the line back up again.

  • Yes I did hear that. Hopefully it works out. Freight needs to be put back on rails!!

  • Yep. The trucks are tearing up the roads around there. It's getting too expensive to ship by truck any way. Stuff has been running on the Calais Branch tracks going out to Ayers Jct, from St Croix Jct. because the rails are all shiny now. I think it's been NBSR, or Eastern Maine hi-rail trucks checking it out.

  • Another good video, and I can tell its really hilly where you are 5 locomotives for 53 cars, and alot of the trains I see in your videos and saintjohnrailfan's videos are the excessive locomotives. Kinda like where I am in BC, most trains are under 100 cars and have like 4 to 8 locomotives

  • another good video thanks

  • Thanks

  • Nice video. 5 units(incl. the slug) and it still seems like a heavy load up the hill. Any idea if this was the first westbound since before Christmas?

  • I think it was. The rails on the mainline were quite rusty. All the gypsum is quite heavy but just as they were getting to the crossing they had some problems with 2318.

  • Sweet video, they sound good.

  • Thanks
