I love Bela Lugosi so much,he was a beautiful person.And a wonderful actor.I love everything about him.Plus he was such a gentlemen to the ladies.I wish guys today were like that.If you want a sweet romance you're living in the wrong generation,I KNOW I AM.
@TheJokerzGirl All good supervillains are required to be able to play Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. They get extra credit if they can also play the Moonlight Sonata.
3:52 - is this by any chance the first instance of the infamous horror image of a mysterious figure playing "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" by Johann Sebastian Bach? Is this the first time that song was ever heard in a horror film? I wonder...
@LxxLxxx do you really want to live in the same house with a satan worshiper who wants to sacrifice your wife or daughter to the devil in order to satisfy his master and his secret pasions and probably kill you after done all those things ?

Ahhh... good old "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor". (the organ music). That song is timeless.
I can't get over how tall, dashing, and heroic Lugosi is.

So the the famous "Phantom Theme" (NOT referring to the musical) is actually from this film!? How did THAT get mixed up?!

"You hear that Vitus?... the phone is dead... even the phone is dead." now that's classic.

I love the bitter sweet music. Funny how conceptions changed and how scary moments in films today have a completely different music background.

I love how Bela speaks to camera 4:55-5:02.
Best 7 seconds in cinematic history!

even the phone is dead!

@GGiblet How happy would you be if you ever got a chance to use that line in real conversation?
Like, "You hear that, Jennifer? The phone is dead. ...Even the phone is dead...."
But it never happens. Phones don't die anymore. Sigh, we just don't live in a Universal universe anymore.

@LxxLxxx
maybe I do live in a Universal universe, as my telephone dies on a semi-regular basis (one of our cats likes to chew thru the cord while I sleep)
lots of secret passions, but thankfully no devil worshiping :)

@GGiblet Obviously your evil devil-cat is trying to make sure you can't call for help! ;)
