I heard a rumor that Hamm was going to play Superman is some upcoming movie. I don't know if it is true, but I think that he is the perfect actor to play Clark Kent/ Superman.

@zucchini4067 Actually, I think he'd be great as Superman, but I'm not sure about Clark Kent. Kent is supposed to be geeky, clutzy, bookish and awkward--especially around women. It's just hard to see Jon Hamm being like that. But since I've only seen him in Mad Men, I don't really know his real acting range.

@DandAinTac see if you can find some of his work on 30 Rock and your feelings might change, but I totally see where you are coming from if you have only seen him on Mad Men.

I'm certainly open to the possibility--after all, I've only seen him in Mad Men, and he's so much the antithesis of a Clark Kent that I struggle to stretch my imagination to seeing him do it convincingly. If he could, that would be the sign of a gifted actor.
