  • Thanks for the superb info. One suggestion; perhaps consider having a before & after conclusion while explaining what you have done.

I find myself RW & FW multiple times to make note of the nuances in the photo’s final outcome. Other tutorials have put the photos side by side or one right after the other so they can be contrasted while you explain the and point out changes simply by moving the mouse...or pen :).

Thanks again. As stated, very informative. I look forward to seeing what's next.

  • @skibum415 You've made an astute observation and I certainly do agree with your suggestion. On later videos I've been making more use of the History Palette to show how a small adjustment makes a big change.

    Thanks for the suggestion ...

  • Hi I just wanted to say thank you for speaking so clearly on the video. Also, the comment on the history of this product was interesting. Didnt know that..it was Jasc b4. I wish you wouldve done the selection and placement over the garbage can tho..I havent figured that option out yet..the object remover worked tho..oh well. thanks and fyi you are teaching little homeschoolers over here..pretty cool! we are ages 9 and 6.

  • @teachtruth09 If I had known that is what you wanted then it would have been done!

Thanks for the nice comment ...

  • your videos are very, very helpful ....but can you tell me, how do you do this with your zooming in ? I only can do this with the button "zoom"...is there any combination or something?? and how do you make your brush go smaller or bigger ...( I tried it with alt...but there nothing changed..) ..so maybe you could do tutorial with helpful/faster tipps ....sorry for my englisch (I am from Germany)....I would be happy to hear from you...

  • When I am zooming in and out I move back and forth between the magnifying glass and the Overview palette.

Pressing the Alt Key and moving the cursor up or down on the screen should increase/decrease the brush size.

Which version of Paint Shop are you using?

    Are you using a tablet?

  • Yes it does - use either the Magnifying Glass zoom tool or the Overview - shortcut key is F9.

You should get a tablet, by the way ...

  • @riberg thx for your answer

I am using paint shop pro x2 ...and i havent got a tablet ..but a touch screen ...so this must be comparable ...(but i dont really use it, because I havent got a pen for it)...

your describtion for the zooming was helpful and I could copy it ...but I couldnt do this zooming with the brushes ..:(

  • Hi again - so we have the zooming down and now we need to get the brush resize thing going, right?

I don't understand your last sentence - "zooming with the brushes" - can you help me understand that ...

  • Great Tutorial! I Brought Paint Shop Pro x2 A Couple Of Weeks Ago And I Am Having Lots Of Fun With It...Would Love To Learn More Though, Somethings Are Quite Tricky.

  • I'm glad you liked the tutorial.

Just keep working away at PSP X2 and it will be easier and easier.

  • I have Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 and i paid £60 for it but i have no idea how to use it? Please could you help me?....

  • How can I help?

  • Just a hint about the Object Remover. Use the tool on a separate raster layer (check use all layers) and set tool opacity to between 20 and 30 (click the apply tool as many times as needed).

I seldom find use for the tools blend option it's pretty much useless.

I even use this tool to remove dark circles under eyes with excellent results.

I also clone on a separate raster layer it's easier and allows much more control over the clone repair.

  • You are correct, of course. I have no idea why I didn't use layers to do it.

Your suggestions are appreciated - thanks.

    Rich

  • If I'd looked at your web site I would have known that you are already aware of the blank raster layer technique using the clone tool or object remover.

Please accept my comments as intended to be constructive & or helpful.

Your tutorials are excellent and quite helpful to the Paintshop community.

  • Your comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Thanks for taking the time to post them - and thanks ...

    Rich

  • Can i do that with

paint shop pro photo x2 ultimate

  • You bet - the tools to do that all live together with the Clone Tool.

    Go for it!

    Rich

  • Thank you! I have been looking for a great clone tool and I think you have what I need here.

  • Great!
