I'm shocked that I asked for compassion from a christian and recieved hate. It turned ugly, I refrain from details. He said you dont believe in jesus so I feel sorry for you. Wow? There many wonderful people on staff at CCGS that can be used of the Lord. I don't worship but I have a lot of friends who attend calvary chapel. Still though can you debate me through scripture. How can you or any other christian justify this war? This is why I find calvary chapel extremely luke warm...the water is miles wide but an inch deep.

Having known Raul on a personal level as a kid, I can tell you he is down to earth, funny, personable, and on fire for God. When you have a congregation of over 12,000 - I'm sure it is difficult for him to get to everyone. He is up there, preaching God's Word. As I am sure he would tell you, he is a human just like you or me, not a celebrity or a superhero. When church becomes about the preacher and not God, it is going in the wrong direction.

All over the new testament Paul talks against this teaching...Raul needs to cool his fire and get it under control before he burns everyone with false teachings.
Israel is God's chosen people and it is biblical. Search the scriptures. With the new covenant the Gospel was made available to Gentiles after Peter's vision in the book of Acts. But that did not change anything as far as Israel being God's chosen nation. Even the book of Revelations alludes to this.
Romans 11:20-23 (Israel = natural branches CUT OFF, Gentiles = wild branches GRAFTED IN -- into what were the Gentiles grafted? I think that Galatians 6:15-16 suggests that the Gentiles are now a part of "the Israel of God".)
Romans 9:6-8 (being a Jew doesn't make you a part of Israel)

According to James 5:3 & Heb. 1:2, the Church has been in the "last days" since NT times. So relying on the false teaching of the rapture & the suggestion that the days we are living in are anything special is ridiculous.

This is typical Calvary Chapel (dispensational) brainwashing. Please check the full counsel of Scripture. The meaning of the word translated "everlasting" does not mean "forever" as we use it in modern English. In the Hebrew, it means "hidden time" or uncertain length of time (which makes sense since Israel keeping the land was CONDITIONAL!)
To specifically answer your reference to Daniel 10:14, Jesus makes it clear in the Gospels and we know from history that this prophecy was fulfilled in the destruction of Jerusalem. Read Luke 21:20-21 & Mark 13:14

Report back avoozl and coppertop as to whether or not you get to talk to Pastor Raul just by asking to speak with him. I'm curious since I've never seen it happen.
I know someone personally who did that. This person hung out after service for a while and went to the information desk and asked if she could speak to him due to the fact she was really moved. The person working the desk told her that he had already left but this person called Raul's cell phone to double check........
Raul answered and was already driving on the street BUT he made a U-turn and came back to the church just so he could talk to this person at her request. Never make assumptions of a person...he totally could have continued going straight home but he didn't.
I do not believe Raul to be a bad person, I believe he is sincere...but sincerely wrong in his biblical analysis of scripture. Much like latter day saints and J.Witnesses. The rapture is a teaching that has made christians stagnant and the teaching of Israel being God's People has made christians justify a corrupt war. Someone can be sincere but sincerely wrong.

These things have been happening in the world since the beginning of history. There is no way that can tell which wars indicate the return of Christ. To attempt to do so is to read into Scripture that which Scripture doesn't specifically say.

This is typical Calvary Chapel (dispensational) brainwashing. Please check the full counsel of Scripture. The meaning of the word translated "everlasting" does not mean "forever" as we use it in modern English. In the Hebrew, it means "hidden time" or uncertain length of time (which makes sense since Israel keeping the land was CONDITIONAL!)

I know someone personally who did that. This person hung out after service for a while and went to the information desk and asked if she could speak to him due to the fact she was really moved. The person working the desk told her that he had already left but this person called Raul's cell phone to double check........

Raul answered and was already driving on the street BUT he made a U-turn and came back to the church just so he could talk to this person at her request. Never make assumptions of a person...he totally could have continued going straight home but he didn't.

I do not believe Raul to be a bad person, I believe he is sincere...but sincerely wrong in his biblical analysis of scripture. Much like latter day saints and J.Witnesses. The rapture is a teaching that has made christians stagnant and the teaching of Israel being God's People has made christians justify a corrupt war. Someone can be sincere but sincerely wrong.
