"(We were) trying to honor our country and be respectful of where we live; to thank those who have made it the place that it is now," James said, adding that performing at the monument was unique because it is "a holy place".
praestant8 is gay and a former member..so keep that in mind when "it" is throwing stones at the Lord's church. Like those who sin..they gnash thier teeth at TRUTH because they cannot abide the light...praestant8 claims to be a "christian" and joined a local Luthern church that accepts that lifestyle..he says homosexaulity is not a sin..keep that in mind when you see his comments here and elesewhere.
@imtherealthing I missed you too bu ;-). That's why when I saw your name on here I couldn't resist. I see you still can't spell LutherAn. Or is that just your online lisp? I must say you are far more entertaining than that "mormonanswerman" who just hides behind his channel and blocks everyone who isn't as nutty as he is. So when are you going to post some anti-Christian propaganda for the world to disect? We all want to comment on your self evident "righteousness" as a good Mormon!
Ah right...should have spelled it "luciferian" church...oops my bad.
Oh ...yes...the old "all you have to do is BELIEVE and you are saved" grabage of luciferian churches. You say you believe in Christ do you?...yet why don't you believe HIS words then?:
Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."
Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"
•1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
@imtherealthing Only rejoicing and praising God here. But I guess that means you'll have to burn all those pink dress shirts you wear to sacrament meeting.
Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the NATURAL function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, ..."
From a website by a "luciferian" church..er..I mean Lutheran church..your OWN people who now accept your sin at a LOCAL level:
Unlike other sins, homosexuality has a SEVERE judgment administered by God Himself. This judgment is simple: They are given over to their passions. That means that their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their sins (Romans 1:18ff). As a result, they can no longer see the error of what they are doing.
"The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America moves closer to apostasy" by the so-called "apologists" of false christianity..you know the ones you use to attack the Lord's church...lol ---> C.A.R.M...poor queer praestant8..no home for the wicked
@imtherealthing You sure like to talk about gay people alot. Not harboring closeted latent homosexual tendencies of your own are you? Is that why you jumped on the S.S Mormon Titanic? Your pentecostal Jesus couldn't heal you? Anyhow the article you reference uses the same cherry picked biblical references to justify their bigotry including that of Leviticus. I wonder how many of those Christians don't eat pork also mentioned in that same section of Lev.? Come up with new material.
@imtherealthing It may interest you to know what C.A.R.M. says about the falsehood of Mormonism before you go endorsing it. Interestingly enough they talk more about the fraud of Mormonism than they do about the alleged "sin" of homosexuality. Now why would they do that if Mormonism is true?
@LDSapologist71 So uh, if you Mormons do believe in the Bible where does it say you have to perform masonic inspired temple rituals to get in to heaven? I don't recall jesus saying anything about being sealed to wives and families as an "eternal family unit" either. Perhaps you can help me out there.
All this coming from a queer who thinks God says homosexuality is not a sin?..oh please...lol...you queers are really messed up in the head..as is your false religion which accepts that lifestyle. You just can't leave the church alone can you...as the queers couldn't in Sodom and Gomorrah - they throw hissy fits and gnash thier teeth.
praestant8 - is a former member of the church because he is gay and wanted the church to accept his homosexuality...do not take anything "it" says seriously. He became a luthern because that church he attends now accepts the homosexual lifestyle he wants so bad for the TRUE GODHEAD to acknowledge as not being a sin.
How can mormons use millions of dollar on tempels, when there are people in the world that don`t have food. A church is just a building to christians. So why don`t mormons use less money on buildings and more money to help poor people????
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
1) Why do Christians spend million of dollars to pay their clergy or to build chapels? 2) Why do people spend their money to buy SUVs, cigarettes, DVDs et similia? 3) We give of our own substance to pay for chapels, temples etc. AND we give of our own substance for fast offerings for the poor, humanitarian efforts in all the world and so on, for millions of $. We strive to spend our money for good, to edify the kingdom and the children of God.
Those temples ARE helping people - in those temnples we seal families for eternity in those temples we give those who have died an opportunity to come to Christ who never had Christ. In those temples we are bringing people to Christ. What in the temple does not bring people to Christ? The whole purpose to the temple is CHRIST - PERIOD! As for the poor - Christ said it best: "John 12: 8 8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always. "
The Seattle Temple will always be the temple of my youth. We always traveled to Seattle for Baptism trips and I went through before my mission. I now attend the Columbia River Temple, but love to see that beautiful gem of the Emerald City!
It is a wonderful location off I-90 as it connects to I-405, on top of the hill. It is a beacon and light unto to the city of Seattle and Bellevue. Testifying that God lives and is the RESURRECTION and the LIFE.
@omiolo No, I don't think so. You can't see it from any part of Bellevue other than the immediate area and you sure can't see it from Seattle. Actually most don't even know its there as it is surrounded by trees until you pass by it on the freeway. Most just wonder what sort of people go in such a horribly architecturally dated overly lit large and spacious building with a golden idol on top. And the building does nothing to speak of the saving grace of Christ.
I have seen this temple in Bellevue (I bought my first scriptures at the Deseret Bookstore right next to it). It is truly a remarkable sight to behold, especially at night.
Was just there today for Baptisms for the dead. Beautiful place.

The Temple is the LORD's House the LORD's work.
To bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of MAN.
Christians lost the true meaning of the gospel after the 1st century.
You will have to be rebaptized, Angerman.
sorry!

Uhm, they do. They have a welfare system for members who are unemployed. The Church also donates money and effort to third-world countries.
