People need to realize that the tool guys help the techs out more than themselves. Tool guys make under regular retail mark up and extend credit and no interest. We are all just trying to make a living and I don't understand why people want to just screw us over and take food out of our families mouths when we help them put food in theirs. These tool dealers extend credit interest free to guys like me. All they want is for you to pay your agreed payment each week. it's pretty bad when the tool truck guy's have to repo tools. I've spent plenty of money on tool trucks and have never had a problem with them when i couldn't pay a weeks payment or whatever. So long as I give them a heads up if i'm broke, they have no problem letting me pay what i can when i can (within reason, obviously). Trying to rip off the tool vendors is REALLY shitty. I used to buy snap on. Not anymore, they're fucking ripoffs. Just got tired of over paying for tools that won't get warranted. My local guy is a real piece of work. Last straw was when I bought an Xt7100 impact gun for about 400 bucks that comes with a 2 year warranty. Well it shit the bed in less than a year and guess what I got? An all paid trip to the rebuilt factory ( 3 fuckin times!!!!!!). Instead of just getting a new and honoring the warranty, they rather stick it to you. FUCK SNAP ON!

The thing is that they have no way of proving that the tools are theirs in the first place, no serial numbers, all they have are paper documents stating you made payments for tools. The ONLY things that have serial numbers are the tool boxes they sell and its only on a sticker. If you want Snap On you are better off paying cash, cheaper than truck credit in the long run.

@HunterCO1 I work as a Machinist in the Air Force part time, and other than that, I am a full time student destined to be a Mechanical Engineer. Engineering is what I enjoy. Besides that, I grew up on a farm and in the trucking industry. There is so much more math and science in what I do on a daily bases at school than you have worked your entire life. Don't even talk to me about comparing an auto mechanic's education to an Engineer's education. I've turned plenty of nuts and bolts in my life.

The BEST cordless impact wrench! .....WATCH is the title of the video. i listed the model numbers and the specifications a couple of IR's impacts which SnapOn doesn't even have a comparable model for. even when the snap on man didnt make his weekly stop at my shop i still had his money from the weeks he missed...some guys at the shop would tell me it is his problem if he doesnt collect your money but i was thankfull for that man. i know he's trying to make money but he always came to me and showed me knew things and gave me great deals. he did actually seize someone's tool box, he had a divorce and payments werent made....i understand but in the end we all have to eat.

it's pretty bad when the tool truck guy's have to repo tools. I've spent plenty of money on tool trucks and have never had a problem with them when i couldn't pay a weeks payment or whatever. So long as I give them a heads up if i'm broke, they have no problem letting me pay what i can when i can (within reason, obviously). Trying to rip off the tool vendors is REALLY shitty. He had to pay for the tools first and if you don't pay him, you may as well have stolen them right off his truck.

I used to buy snap on. Not anymore, they're fucking ripoffs. Just got tired of over paying for tools that won't get warranted. My local guy is a real piece of work. Last straw was when I bought an Xt7100 impact gun for about 400 bucks that comes with a 2 year warranty. Well it shit the bed in less than a year and guess what I got? An all paid trip to the rebuilt factory ( 3 fuckin times!!!!!!). Instead of just getting a new and honoring the warranty, they rather stick it to you. FUCK SNAP ON!

The thing is that they have no way of proving that the tools are theirs in the first place, no serial numbers, all they have are paper documents stating you made payments for tools. The ONLY things that have serial numbers are the tool boxes they sell and its only on a sticker. If you want Snap On you are better off paying cash, cheaper than truck credit in the long run.

@HunterCO1 I work as a Machinist in the Air Force part time, and other than that, I am a full time student destined to be a Mechanical Engineer. Engineering is what I enjoy. Besides that, I grew up on a farm and in the trucking industry. There is so much more math and science in what I do on a daily bases at school than you have worked your entire life. Don't even talk to me about comparing an auto mechanic's education to an Engineer's education. I've turned plenty of nuts and bolts in my life.

I'm sure being a mechanic has taught you many skills. No doubt. I grew up with a neighbor that is a mechanic and a Snap-On loyalist, he is in his mid 50s and has been a mechanic his entire life. Being in that enviroment; it gave me a new prospective on engineering from a mechanic's point of view.

@novakane87 My advice get off the IR bandwaggon back in the day IR hands down was the best air tools money could buy. Snap on has caught up with them and surpassed them. I will put my snap on guns up against anything on earth they are very depandable and always get the job done. That is what makes me money not specifications I don't give a shit what they say it does I care what it does.

@HunterCO1 I don't doubt that Snap-On is a good product. In fact, I know Snap-On is great product. I simply can't afford it. Snap-On's products are just more expensive than what I can afford. I don't make hardly any money, my wife and two children come first. After that, there just isn't anything but pennies. So whenever I can manage, I get me a tool that will get me by for all I need it for. I will say the IR got lax for a while but I believe that is begining to change with the MAX series.

@novakane87 Well this is the problem with people snap on is made for people like me that do it for a living. I would never advocate anybody buying snap on tools who does not do it for a living as in my mind that is just stupid. Craftsmen is perfect for the home do it yourself hobby guy.
Snap on tools are designed for people like me I use them everyday all day long. My tool box if I was to buy it today is 15k then there is the 100k plus of tools that fill it. I buy what works its my living!

@HunterCO1 Ingersoll Rand's impact specifications succeed those of Snap-On, especially in the industrial side of the market. The BEST cordless impact wrench! .....WATCH is the title of the video. i listed the model numbers and the specifications a couple of IR's impacts which SnapOn doesn't even have a comparable model for. Both SnapOn and Ingersoll Rand are very reputable companies and would not inflate their specifications. You'll have to go to both SnapOn's and IRs site and compare for urself

Snap-On's premier MG725 puts out a working torque of 810ftlbs max RPM of 5,700RPM weighs 4.8lbs, and is 7.9in in length.
Ingersol Rand's premier 1/2" puts out 780ftlbs 9,800RPM weighs 3.9lbs and is 7.35inches in length.
It wins 3 out of 4 catagories. Which is the majority. It's the fastest, most compact, and lightest for the sacrifice of a possible 30ftlbs of torque.
I would not want to pressure 1/2" drive sockets any further than 780FtLbs.

Snap-On's MG1200XL puts out 1,200 ftlbs, spins 7,000Max RPM, weighs 8lbs. and is 8 inches in length.
IR's 2141 puts out 1,200 ftlbs and 8,000 Max RPM, weighs 7lbs and is 8.2inches in length
Ir, again whens in 2 catagories where Snap-On only is better in 1 catagory (size).
Ingersoll Rand again takes the cake... There's the facts old man. Not to mention The Ir impact is nearly half the price!
