It's not even the house that's 'haunted'. It's the building that the dad works at. And not even the building, just the mirrors in the basment of the building. The spirit inside of it just happens to stalk him and his family. You get scared while watching it because you expect to be scared, like the saying goes, the only thing to fear is fear itself. The movie itself isn't scary at all. It's really confusing....

It`s the remake of Into the Mirror, another Asian horror which was very good. I`m sure this isn`t that great :S

It is because it's an Alexandre Aja. He makes you feel uncomfortable and then adds gore to get you more scared than what you are. Trust me 'Mirrors' will be a scary film with high levels of blood.
