GOVERNMENT POINTED GUNS AT THEM AND THEIR FAMILYS,i DONT SEE THESE PEOPLE CARRYING GUNS OR SEEING BOMBS GOING OFF,tHESE PEOPLE HAVE A RIGHT TO BE FUCKED OFF
quick make another claim to deny the true history of our land ,blind the young line your pockets ,bury the evidence,,oh wait the evidence is already buried in the ground that you were not the first people to arrive in new zealand ,,stop the lies
go hard whanau, heaps of aroha from your toikairakau kuzzys frm the east coast, ruawaipu. no doult the police will think twice b4 they try to invade your whenua again.
Don't under estimate something your not prepared for. Try keeping the peace and take on the teachings of Christ (king James Version),you'll be safer that way.Its well known that you can't hide behind the police because they are short of numbers in this country.thats why they use guns and the majority of non maori cant fight,Thats why petrol prices rise in this country because the mandate of non maori.Majority of non Maori are idiots,Im sorry but you fall into that category
Did you see the young artist from Whakatane who was arrested under the so called terrorism suppresion act spent two weeks in jail and the police wouldn't even tell her why. Good on tuhoe for being over the top and aggressive, terrorism exists because America aggressively invaded the middle east for its oil and now they are getting payback, don't bring that anti terrorist shit to NewZealand we have no terrorists here just the cops
This is no way to treat anyone, you do not need to resort to intimidation to get your point of view across. I am a maori also and I understand the struggle and the injustice but this is what people fear and why they are scared to mend bridges. We need to stop creating divisions and start meeting halfway. And this is not the way to go about it guys. We are all New Zealanders whether you like it or not. Thats how it is. Love. Care. Look after eachother. Take probs to government. Not to innocents.
@missmaniapoto18 some of us just take these things more seriously cuz. is the balldhead who needs to meet us half way, or all the way would be even better. maori have always had to suffer the lack of "meeting half way". dont just settle for half way, settle for nothing but the rights your tupuna suffered when they were stripped away.
"Not to innocents" very interesting comment. For evil to prosper innocents have to do nothing.Sorry they haven't done nothing and thats why the majority of New Zealanders give mandate for the NZ government to do this to Maori
We are responsible as humans, as community, as a family, to help progress and work toward a better future for all of us. We won't always be here, now is not the time to be selfish, we must always think of others and what is to come. Mending bridges and helping to rebuild together is the only way we will ALL walk toward the same destination.
@domhanda Cops intimidated? They were just busting to get hold of those apes and pissed off their hands were tied. The chimp in green was lucky there were cameras.
Maori idles, the brain of a crocodile (pin sized). Give them koha and they'll protest to anything. And they think they can run this country better? Better heat the stew and eat each other.
We need to respect police when they are doing a good job like keeping that munter in the green shirt from killing someone. It's a tough job and only getting worse with lost souls imitating other cultures' lowest lows. Fuck bullshit rap slogans and the clones who recite them.
Bro your uncle needs to pull his head in. Its people like him that give our maori people a bad rep. That maori brother cop was only doing his job, who says they're so perfect. Anyways my name is hopa i'm currently serving in Iraq tell your uncle he's more than welcome to come and join me over there and then well see who's "CHICKEN SHIT" kia ora.
Its only maori who want to keep going on about the treaty cause everytime they do they get millions of dollars, land, fishing rights, ect. the treaty is a huge cash cow for maori and they will continue to milk it til the government says enough! Its insulting to all of us when maori keep using the rightous indignation bullshit to disguise their greed.. and i thought greed was the white man's disease, i geuss maori are more like europeans than they care to admit! hahahaha
I was at the protest, I'm not Maori. Problem is people on both sides madeit a race issue when the issue should be the legislation. I don't see it as an attack on Maori but an encroachment on all new zealanders under the law, the police included. If you look at it objectively in the correct context one can see that those raids had little to do with fighting terror. Protestors always get classified usually by rightwingers, as leftists commies anarchists etc, I am none of those
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Us white kids were taught all we need to know, that is we kicked the cannibals into submission then civilised them and built them a first world nation. Alot of them still aren't civilised and belong in the white man's prisons.
The problem with us is we're not told all the details that i think are important to our history and in particular, The Treaty. The whole reason not many people understand the Maori perspective or the Pakeha perspective is because we dont know it. We're told when and where and by who, but thats about it. You dont get the finer details that make all the difference in understanding. I would definitely push for compulsory NZ History in schools. Why isnt it there when its so important?
the protest, the protesters or the select few (as you put it)?
by the looks of this footage i think the "select few" f#@%ed up but the majority were just standing there protesting.
protests can get out of hand anywhere in the world. this was quite tame compared to a lot of them. you may need a thicker skin if you want to get to the guts of things through impartial journalism. maybe even meet and interview the organisers before hand.
Beliant. If i was born in China, would that make me Chinese?.
simple answer,no
My body and mind is not Chinese,
I might be good at emulating and speaking Chinese but I wouldn't truely be indigenous Chinese.
It is a genetic and racial evolution that forms from and with the very land itself that defines indigenous qualities, not an oxford dictionary definition.
I know the majority of people wont agree with this point, but the beauty of a democratic society is, I can say it regardless of wether people disagree;
This is a shocking display of thug like behavior, why approach the police in that monkey like agressive manner? are they personally restricting peoples rights? or claimed rights in this case? This protest was over the top and got out of hand, It would of been far better to be peaceful and less... chimp like, maybe then people would listen.
Pssshh, there have been many peaceful protests from Maori, Whina Cooper, Te Puea Herangi etc. The point is that no one wants to listen and hasn't been listening for the last how many years?
Because its an outdated and forgotten issue, and there have been a handful of peaceful protests correct! but it doesn't change the fact this one isn't.. infact the opposite..
Are you that sure of yourself that it is a forgotten issue? By the looks of it, it seems to be quite up there with any other issue. Im sure you would like Maori to think that it be outdated and forgotten but nevertheless it isn't. And there have been more peaceful protests then ones like this dotenzed.
Just had a thought on this, arn't new zealand children or students rather taught about the colonisation, land wars and eventual treaty as a staple history topic at school?
Nope, unless its changed in the last 5 years. Furthermore, migrants to New Zealand should be made to learn it as well as a pre-requisite to get in, so that they can understand what is happening in New Zealand at the moment.
I think its the governments job to establish what migrants, need to have and know, as one myself.. I feel you may be confusing Migrant with refugee, one brings skills and money the other doesnt.. for example I used my education to serve in the New Zealand Defence Forces where there is a huge emphisis on Maori Culture but equally with British Heritage and Culture.. the way perhaps it should be.. Maori in the NZDF would not tolerate the kind of chimp like behavior in this Video, fact.
No I am well aware of who i think should learn the treaty. Migrants, regardless of race, creed or colour should be made to learn about the Treaty of Waitangi no matter what sort of skills you have obtained. Believe you me, Māori in general would not condone this sort of behaviour, not just those who are in the defence force. Night
Because every educational course I have done here has covered the treaty or at least multi-culturalism in some form as a staple topic even when it wasn't relevant to the actual topic.
No its to keep us ignorant. Yes the treaty in some aspects is covered, but none of it includes the argument for Contra Proferedum, or the huge difference in translation, or the fact that Chieftainship over Maori and ownership of all natural resources were to be maintained by Maori in Article 2. Or that some Tribes didnt sign the Treaty at all. Or that there is a Declaration of Independance. Or that their were land confiscation policies. Or that we were never defeated by the British in war.
I think though that t needs to be taught properly in Schools, otherwise we have angry Maori and Angry pakeha attacking each other on the preface of what they see on the T.v, or from people who know little themselves. These issues are'nt straight forward like everyone thinks.
If Maori people were not fighting back with the government, they will just be walking all over us !.. Tuhoe people are just over it.. If yiu get the drift... If the white people did not come here and confiscate lands we would not have had this problem in the first place !.. So huz to blame !.. Maori people are descendents of the land, we should be the one with rights and decisions not the government..
Yes, I'm sure thats exactly how it happened. If people were asking about Maori then thats great. However, going by the sentiment consistently expressed in your comments I think people got told about Maori before they had the chance to ask. Followed by "Pakeha are horrible and have no identity, blah blah blah".
Doesn't worry me if people don't know what a Kiwi is. I'd just tell them, no drama. I don't need to be unmistakable. Being a Kiwi is just fine.
Beliant (or should I say beligerent). What you pass off as "kiwi culture" is in fact a pathetic attempt to redefine European culture that has been bludging off Maori land for the last 160 years.
Maori are the true New Zealanders and like Rose has been trying to explain to you,us whites are recent blow-ins who imported English culture (if they ever had one) and language and have been subsuming and destroying the Native culture ever since.
All I have tried to express here is the affection/bond that Pakeha or any Kiwi for that matter has developed for NZ. At no point have I suggested that Pakeha are indegenous.
Wipe the bias out of your eyes and have read.
The tone of your paragraph is a great example of belligerence even if you can't spell it..... well done.
Beliant never have we accused Kiwis of having no connection to this land - only that in comparison to the connection that Maori have, a Pakehas link is lacking considerably in reverence and sanctity. You have a weak connection in comparisn because of this lack of knowledge about the Tapu of the land and a backward psyche of how its visualized & the Kiwi culture in comparison to Maori lacks considerably in content, meaning, thought, individualism and sacred possession and great many others things
The only links to the land your qualified to comment on are your own. You don't understand Pakeha sentiment because you aren't one. Consequently your attempts at describing Pakeha sentiment have been clouded by your own bias. Kiwi culture is young and current with the lifestyle I enjoy in this country. If I want to enjoy a more established culture I can draw on my Scottish heritige. Its a perk of being Pakeha living in modern NZ, we can draw on a variety of ancient cultures from our bloodlines.
Social safety? Its alright for you to point the finger at us now - you cant see past your own noses let alone accept that the present is a direct result of the lack of "social safety" of the past. Bloody cheek of it.
MetalRose, read my comment again. I don't agree with the content of the "social safety" sentence. It was a direct rebutle to one of your previous comments. I was trying to illustrate the inaccuracy of stereotyping. It seems you're seeing what you want to see to insight argument.
I know its hard to not be considered particularly unique to this land. But all you really need is some time to grow and mould and adapt and nurture youselves into the land - if you havent destroyed it completely by then. You are all still very European and lack any profound sense of identity in the Pacific. Give it another 500 years or so and then we may consider you a more worthy title than what you currently are - Europeans living in Aotearoa as opposed to The People of Aotearoa :)
The Kiwi culture, though new, has developed its own bond with the land you don't identify with and therefore don't understand. You find this inconvient as you thought bonding to the land was exclusive to Maori. Kiwi culture is different to Maori culture - no better, no worse, just different. By being different it is therefore unique by definition. Because its different you don't understand it and because you don't understand it you decry it. Can't think why you'd need to do that....
Actually i do identify with the Kiwi culture Beliant - its a perk of being Maori living in modern NZ. You see its quite simple, as a Maori you can grow, understand and live in both worlds, an ignorant Pakeha can only understand one. A knowledgable Pakeha like PK below can understand to a certain level, but not fully. You cant understand us because you dont know our world, but we have been living in yours for over a century and know it well.
An Ignorant Pakeha will only want to understand one world. An untaught Pakeha may be interested in the Maori culture. I'm the latter. I don't understand the Maori way of life however I respect the Maori people and find the culture interesting. Irregardless of the respect I have towards it, the spiritual way Maori connect to the land means nothing to me and therefore I have no desire to emulate it. I connect on an individual level, through sight, smell and sound of the outdoors.
Luckily I don't need to create my own definition of 'indegenous' to support my argument. "White industrial revolution", we're past that. Look outside your own culture, you may a notice a new one has developed around you. It draws its essence from the land and is influenced by all its people including Maori. Its the 'Kiwi' culture. No one brought it here - it was born here!
I am Kiwi, my relationship with NZ is unique. One you could never understand, ever! Its just different than yours.
I didnt make up that definition of indigenous - thats what indigenous means - to have created something unique to a place. And in our case our entire culture and race was created here = indigenous. Look it up.
Wot is Kiwi culture but a more relaxed form of European culture? Though it is building a stronger base, there is nothing glaring. Our culture has endured here for over 700 years - Kiwi culture is still in its infancy and lacks any real substance & connection to the land.
I'm a Pakeha and I definitely understand that Maori were shafted in certain area's with the arrival of settlers etc. However I think many Maori under estimate the bond the Pakeha have with New Zealand. I was born here and I can't see how any other person has any greater right to this land than I do. After all even Maori are immigrants to this country.
Maori arent immigrants - Maori are indigenous. Its not that you dont have a right to be and belong here Beliant - its just that you dont have the same right as tangata whenua. Dont get Maori wrong, we accept wholeheartedly that you are here and belong here in a sense, but as people of the land our ties to the whenua run deeper than you could possibly imagine. We belong to it more than it belongs to us. Its hard for a Pakeha to understand and no words can express it - and thats what seperates us.
Your right in that I don't understand the types of tie that Maori hold to this land. However in my opinion I don't believe that the spiritual ties that you describe necessarily define a connection to this land that Pakeha could not possibly imagine. Pakeha hold an extremely strong bond to NZ and just because it may not be as spiritual it is no less intense. To ammend your last sentence. Its hard for a Maori to understand and no words can express it - and thats what seperates us.
The connection Maori have with the land surpasses mere birth rights. Our taniwha for example, our gods and spirits that are representative of the land. The customs we perform in reverence and respect to natural and spiritual forces all come from being descended from the land. Tribal affiliations are defined by land territories. The fact we were here before you intensifies our connection to it. Where we want to 'preserve' the land, pakeha it seems seeks only to destroy it. We died for this.
To ammend your last sentence. "where we want to 'preserve' safe society, maori it seems seek only to destroy it". Sounds rediculous huh....over generalisation is not sound argument. Your comments seem more based from emotion that fact. Sure there are destructive Pakeha in NZ but there is also a huge proportion who love and nurture this land. From your comments I feel you are confirming my original point. That many Maori under estimate the bond that Pakeha have with NZ. We too have died for this.
Look at the world around you Beliant - its got "white industrial revolution" written all over it. Died for this? You people? Oh do elucidate - because besides from WW2 you've suffered nothing. I dont care if i under estimate the bond "some" pakeha have to NZ - the point is you are not indigenous to the land and therefore your culture is not built into and born out of the very fabric of the enviroment = less vital connection for you. You brought your culture here - ours was born here.
my own parents were arrested for illegal activity (the ''terrorists claim they are doing a good thing,as did my parents)early one morning there was a knock on the door, sure enough it was the cops with a search warrent, and yet before anyone had a chance to read it,they were bursting through the back door, questioning everybody, rumaging through our stuff, and refusing to let us go anywhere.sound familia?and yet,it wouldnt have happened if my parents had obeyd the law.thanks for the mental scars mum!
Not that disturbing behaviour at all. I didn't see any spits or violence. I don't know the background of these people so i cant say if that was inappropriate
If Tuhoe were really the terrorists the government made them out to be then their reaction through the police would hav been inadequate,
a threat of that level would be neutrallized by the S.A.S and the media circus of suggestion would hav been reporting dead bodies and not defaming public figures.
So government has passed another law they apparently dont quite understand but will use if ur political veiws arent agreable
meanwhile we turned it into a honki and hori debate dance puppets
Great news, 17 of the 18 Maori terrorists have been commited to trial. An Auckland district court judge has delivered his reserved decision that they must face charges of possesing automatic weapons and napalm bombs and planning the assasination of high profile polititions.
"oh so easy to pick the bad section of a protest and "impartially" put your own subtext to their situation." what a joke. if you had been there you would have seen the entire protest was as aggressive as this. But I guess it is easy to make judgements like that when you only see part of the protest.
Maybe if they were a little be more intelligent and educated they would relaize that using words is more effective at communicating, then putting a cloth around your head and just shouting. Truly, go back to school. Get some education. Leanr how to be civillized, then go and speak to the media/police.
Maybe if YOU were a little more intelligent YOU would realize that the complexity of the argument as demonstrated in this clip is/was a breach of international human & indegenious peoples rights. Instead of passing judgement under the content of a 3:38 minute YT clip, you should instead develop an educated opinion.
You also forget that it was the police that actually triggered this outrage to begin with - so what help are they? As for the media - they have to remain objective.
Maori are completely reliant on us, it's quite sad. To think you try to call your proud and honorable? a warrior? fuck off you're weak. If all the white people fucked off, this country would turn to hell with Maori's trying to run it. Yet, if all the Maoris fucked off this country would be an amazing place to live and not just a great place to leave.
Look at these fucking apes. The cunt in green trying to be intimidating yelling shit? just makes you want to splatter the brains of that whori in green all over that fucking pavement.
Maori are completely ungreatful for the opportunities we have given them. To live in a developed country, education health etc. They even get more advantages over NZ European (no I want label us with that Maori word) because of this treat claim BS. This shit can only lead to more tension. I welcome it.
I refute this comment hacksaw. I for one am grateful for the little opportunities Pākeha have given Māori. If by health, you mean against the introduced diseases Pākeha brought. If by education you mean the education system that marginilised the Māori culture and still it failed us? Yeah thanks heaps. It is not advantages, it is getting compensation, even the government acknolwedges that, so why cant you.
By heath I mean Maori able to see highly educated European doctors and the usage of colonized medicine. Maori were starting to decline, before European colonization smart one.
By education, I mean Maori taking advantage of all the resources and scholarships available and to be taught by educated Europeans. We can't help it if you incapable of keeping up with us.
Get your facts right before you open your big fat mouth. The Māori population was not at all in decline before European colonization. Dont speak to me about education, it sounds like YOU are the one who needs to get educated. Out of all my professors and lectures here at uni, 4 are Māori, 4 are Pākeha, 1 is Japanese, and 1 is from Papua New Guinea. Taught by educated Europeans? hardly. I do however respect all my teachers.
Maori culture declining because of us? If anything European culture is declining becasue too much emphasis on Maori culture.
It is advantages you idiot. Don't you see, it is Maori who are holding European people back? This country would be a far better place to live without any Maori to live off our tax dollars and commit crimes. We can't keep giving handouts to the retarded kid of society, it'll end one day. In the mean time continue to get on your knees and beg to your superiors.
There has only been "too much emphasis on Māori culture" in the last 28 years mate. It is a gross generalisation to think all Māori live off tax handouts. YOU for one should know that the biggest enthinicity on the pension is White Europeans, there are more on there then Māori on all pensions combined. Commit crimes? Like how Pākeha have the highest Peadophilia rate etc. Dont call me a idiot if you are not up for a debate.
4 Maori lecturers? mustn't be going for a highly paid career. I wonder who educated those Maori?
You have to look at the population differences if you're going to use the argument of more European people on the benefit. Also, look at the prisons, overpopulated and half of it is Maori followed closely by their Polynesian cousins. Who do you think is paying to keep those apes in their cages? Pedophilia may be higher for us, but look at who all the violent crimes and thievery are committed by.
That is where you are wrong, the 4 Māori lectures are Professors and Doctors, they are earning way over 100k a year. Not that money is everything to Māori. My point was that i am not being solely educated by Europeans. Your point was that we are all educated by Europeans which is in fact wrong.
If those lectures are earning over 100k as you say then I highly doubt that they themselves were taught by Maori, unless you're doing some kind of Maori studies. I'm all for putting Maori into tertiary education, it would be nice if everyone was useful and contributed to society.
We're in this situation purely because of our tolerance and generosity. Our government is too weak for their own good and too concerned with being 'unracist'.
Most Maori couldn't give a shit about this activist crap, but they'll soon take any handout available to them. I bet you take advantage of resources and advantages western colonization has given you everyday, and completely ungrateful for it to. If you want to return to the bush, build a hut and return to cannibalism feel free.
Polynesians did much to destroy New Zealand's fauna. Pre-European Maori wiped out some twenty bird species as well as the Moa and most of the seals and dolphins. They also burnt down huge tracts of forest, half was destroyed before the arrival of Europeans. In 1818 Hone Heke went to Australia and bought 300 muskets used to wipe out most of the Maori warriors in northland, then Te Rauparaha continued this destruction from Taranaki to Kaikoura, all before the European settlers arrived.
Actually, since the arrival of Pākeha, a further more 20 species of animals have become extinct. It was Pākeha whalers who set up whaler stations everywhere that were the main cause of the decline in the population of dolphins and seals, not Māori. Pākeha have removed 85% of forestry and polluted alot of our waterways and brought polution to our skies.
But you don't mind the warm house, electricity, running water, health system, if you don't enjoy western civilisation, build a mudhut in the bush and eat fernroots, simple.
so you acknowledge that you just made a false statement. And once again i tell you we cant go buld a mudhut in the bush because Pākeha have taken 85% of our forests, therefore taking the wood we would use for our houses, taking away the birds feathers we would use to keep warm, wouldnt have clean water like we use to because of polution. Therefore it is not simple.
The only false statements are yours, remember you're conversing with a white man son, show some respect. New Zealand has 7 million acres of Native forest, more than enough to build your mudhut, so get busy.
I dont believe ive disrespected you at all. And no my statements are not false. And like i said we cant live in the forests that are left, simply because of the reasons i stated below. If you would like to disregard that then thats fine with me, but theres no point really in furthering this conversation.
Are you aware of the research indicating that the moa was already in decline before Polynesians arrived in the islands?
In fact, if we're going to talk about extinction, why don't we talk about the plight of the defenceless dodo against the white men that used to hunt it without abandon?
Most of the seals and dolphins? Got facts to back that one up?
Burnt down huge tracts of forest - care to indicate where those forests were once located?
They were slaughtered just the same. They were warned of the impending raid and held a meeting to decide a course of action. Because they were a peaceful people the decision was made to welcome the Maoris and as a result were lined up on the beach, clubbed to death and eaten. Some women and children were kept as slaves and treated with unimaginable cruelty for the next 40 years.
Then a group of sandal wearing, hairy legged polititions decided that appeasing this noisy mob with money would not only shut them up but attract their vote too. What they didn't count on was some sly fatcats grabbing all the cash for themselves and making a mockery of the notion of Maori solidarity and allowing the Maori to rediscover within himself his true moral code.
It was clearer than crystal to the lords of the State preserves of loaves and fishes, that things in general were settled for ever. But then along came a generation of born again haters and wreckers with a contrived cause, confused identity and associated victim mentality, hell bent on rewriting history and demanding compensation for even suggesting grandad sold out. And futhermore, Maori were wise ecologists, mystical sages, heroic navigators and pacifists who wouldn't hurt a fly.
Monkey people is the only way to describe this bunch of animals. Maoris used to be a proud admirable people who have been reduced to a national embarisment. until maori learn to stand on their own feet without living with the BS chip on their shoulders, they are doomed. Once were Warriors eh! nohopuku
I'm a Kiwi, not Maori by birth but I am proud to be associated with such a strong people.
I think we are all really lucky here in Aotearoa. We can express ourselves like these guys in this video without police arresting us. This is important.
The govt works for us. Let's never forget that. The TSA is an abuse of our civil rights, nothing more. Pakeha would be brainwashed like Americans if it weren't for Maori people reminding us what's real. We owe Maori a hellova lot if you ask me.
remove the treaty...so when we do decide to fight 4 our lands..we wont be called rebels as we were labelled 150 years ago.the treaty keeps some form of peace.remove it and hostilitys will definatly start.so any1 out there who think the maori ppl are weak...get the gov. to abolish the treaty...and they know this, that is why they need the treaty to remain in place
Unfortunatly the maori people have already lost, your not even a pure breed, your people have succome to drugs, gangs, alcahol, As far as I can see you just want something for nothing these days, You see white man as the enemy but white man has spent generations here and WE call it home too. Good luck removing us from YOUR so called lands. You seem to forget that we out number you about 10 to 1 .... Once were warriors now just slaves to your impulses like the rest of us
Your just hungry for money and power like every other minority , but you want it because of what was done to you not because of something you have done to deserve it....
Randy, white people hide their abuse, my friend was abused by her white grandfather from the age of 3 to the age of 14. He took her virginity and her white family refused to believe her, he died without admitting that. My friend's white dad drinks every night. I am a maori and my mother worked 5 days a week and cared for us the best she could. Spend our money on what??? Mate our value for land - you will never understand!
some white people are abusive and some black people are, you could say, some people are abusive... I fully understand the value for land you proclaim sole understanding of. How come an exclusive few Maori have benefitted from land given back? I still see mongrel mob and other losers walking around intimidating? Drinking, smoking, inhaling P, vandalising.. THese are the people who have destroyed your people not white people, most white people are in the same boat as you with no land just debt.
I'm glad you call NZ, or Aotearoa home, but there are people that exploit our land and it's beauty. The "Mongrel Mob" was a gand formed by white and brown - in the 70's ina bid to protest against the welfare system (run by white) who employed "sex abusers"and "physically abusive"people. I taught in a school where many children were from these families, and their families were the result of the "Westernized" idea of the ideal family, the "Nuclear" family, you really must look at the "Native Act
The only Maori people who would fight would be thugs n criminals, they will be called terrorists this time if they try it, look at those animals in the video, wat utter peices of shit
We are getting split apart, divide and conquer as the saying goes.
To much fear and to much anger between the peoples of our country. We don't even realize we are being played like the British did to the Maori 150 years ago.
they are showing what they really are, the police should have arrested the lot of them, good on you nz police.they call the police pigs, i dont see the police acting like a bunch of animals.
The gains of genuinely oppressed people throughout history have been achieved through peaceful dignified protest, concepts foriegn to these losers. They probably feel oppressed because the local p lab was shut down or the white judge gave them six months for bashing the misses which is a cultural tradition.
I know for a FACT that white people rape. My friend lost her viginity to her WHITE grandad at the age of 4! And he continued to abuse her up to the age of 14. When she reached out to her family they tried to get her exocised! Shit how civilised! I supposed this really isn't the point, I don't like to sound "general" because there are bad and good in every race, but I don't appreciate you tone...
But you need to watch this one - TQ is the King Of Generalizations. And dont think he rules alone, soon his cavalry will arrive, led by one named George, the Cheiftain of the Kings Baldhead Knights of the Round Table. Together they assail their enemies with a sharp edged sword and defend their arguments with the brace of a Roman shield. Only with pure tenacity will you break through the rule of the king, defeat the cheiftain, slay the argument & claim victory!
Don't forget Sir Brad Rose, although during a recent engagement at Drivers License, he was caught fraternising with the enemy and is now to face charges of treason at a disciplinary
hearing. His actions forced a strategic withdrawl and as a result, the fighting is now sporadic and on several fronts. It's hoped a planned pincer movement at Tame Iti on Waitangi, led by Sir George will force the enemy to concentrate their forces, allowing a breakout at Tuhoe Nation Part 1.
Oh how could I forget Brad The Betrayer! He who forssok his blood-kin, rallied to the Kings call, converted to Baldheadism & led a charge at Once Apon A Waitangi against the fabled Metal Revolution. Luckily for the Chieftess of the MRR, she was joined by the Brospartan Rebellion, which led to a chain of events that forced Brad to question his alligence to the King, retreat his assault on most fronts & force a tie breaker. The King now fears a revolt while the rebels tempt Sir Brad further...
While the King sends his Cavalry to disarm rebel forces at Tame Iti @ Waitangi, the Chieftess of the MRR questions her own faith in her Tuhoe liberator kindred. Discerning this, the King orders a forced assault at Tuhoe Nation Part 1.
Pressure on MRR forces is increasing - The Brospartan Rebellion has seemed to return underground, leaving the MRR to conclude Treaty negotiations with ariki08 (Chief of the Tamaki Makaurau rebel faction) and continue watch on all fronts alone.
Don't think Brospartan's absence has gone unnoticed, rumours abound he's planning an ambush at Civil Rights under attack and now has the support of Dragontoes and Iampolynesian, courtesy to an obscure bloodline. The defection of Sir Brad has caused some uneasiness in the ranks and a victory, or at the very least a truce is needed at Tuhoe Nation Part 1 to boost moral before Brospartan's anticipated onslaught.
Ariki has been seen eating tofu and lentils with a group of islamofacist, homosexual, treehuggers, chanting hari chrishna while fladulating themselves with copies of the oxford dictionary.
Yes, chief ariki has been compromised by the infiltration of PC-tanga. With oxford in hand he seeks to supplant me. But the plight of the MRR exceeds internal conflict, therefore she has been forced to call a truce and yield to his request for an apology.
The Bro remains silent as he gathers legions of stregnth unto himself. A time will soon come for his valiant return. Until then, the Cavalry runs rampant in enemy territory and the MRR continues sending support to those on the front line.
To throw a cat amongst the pidgeons, why would I chant hari chrishna chants if I eat lentils and tofu with a group of islamofacist homosexual tree huggers? None of that makes sense. It's all an oxymoron.
White people rape, yeah great observation I think you'll find brown ones do too. I don't buy into the 'borrow' argument, They knew exactly what sell meant and if some didn't, it had more to do with ignorance. Moriori arrived in the Chatham Islands either just before or at the same time as the first Maori were busy settling on the mainland. It is sometimes claimed that the Moriori were a race that settled previous to the arrival of Maori, however it appears there is no evidence to support that.
Yes but see you down play any wrong doing on the part of white people.
In early 19th century Māori, there was no word equivalent for sell. Tuku which English - Māori translators tried using does not convey the notion of 'to sell, sold' in early 19th century Māori or even in modern Māori for that matter.
You do not have any proof that there was an exact word equivalent of 'to sell, sale, sold' in early 19th century Māori.
As usual Maoris are doing their cause no favours. If any of them had half a brain they would attempt to get middle class NZrs onside, including Middle class Maoris. However the displays of fools like this do exactly the opposite and the failure of their leaders to openly condemn such action is conformation that Maoris are disjointed and disorganised rabble. Conformation too of their obvious deficiencies and inabilitys should they ever acheive self determination.
Honey, if Maori didn't protest no one would be aware of their plight. And you would not have written this comment. Welcome to the world of the "know" Now sit back and LEARN
What plight is that then? Any prospective allies to your imaginary cause have long since been allianated by the monkeys in the video above. Welcome to the world of contempt and disgust.
O.k, there is no need to "label" people, what is needed is understanding. Please read the "Native Act"and visit places like Anamata Private Training Establishment or Awanuiarangi. I am very positive that your view will widen...it is sad that many people do not understand...even now!!!
You misunderstood me, my point was not Maoris argument, but how it was being presented. The conduct of the Maoris in the above video is simply abysmal, they are belittling their cause and doing it serious harm. A group that behaves like rabble just makes it easy for everyone to treat them as such and how Maori can't see that is beyond me. The only explaination I think is that this is accepted behaviour within Maori culture.
And THAT is precisely my point. What do you consider acceptable behavior. You see, white man arrived in NZ proclaiming that they "discovered" it, forced their "ideals" on to a people who had their own philosophies. Understanding is the KEY, what would YOU do if I came to YOUR house, said it was mine now, took it,raped your wife and expected you to be understanding and calm about it. My friend, Maori could be MUCH uglier, but whiteman took advantage of the kindness shown to them. Hmmmmmmm..
Except the situation isn't exactly as you descibed, it's more like, my grandad arrived at your grandad's house, noticed it wasn't being used and offered him a good price. Your grandad saw a golden opportunity to arm himself with enough hardware to permanently silence the neighbours, with whom he had an ongoing dispute. Then his daughters took a fancy to the young white settlers and in a few generations the race became extinct. Life was good and everyone would've lived happily ever after.
No, sorry, see when we "traded" the land it was perceived as "borrow" but the whiteman had different ideas - ITS ALL MINE TO KEEP AND DISTROY! And that's the difference, we look at the land as are the caretakers of, not just ours, but for the coming generations. Your grandad took fancy of Maori kindness and acceptance and thought nothing of raping the girlies and killing the harmless whales. Take, take, take. All over the world this happend. Now, please don't assume I'm Maori, I may not be...
what rights do they not have? seems like they just needed to vent a little bit. but i would like to be enlightened on this.

Why isnt it there when its so important?

simple answer,no
My body and mind is not Chinese,
I might be good at emulating and speaking Chinese but I wouldn't truely be indigenous Chinese.
It is a genetic and racial evolution that forms from and with the very land itself that defines indigenous qualities, not an oxford dictionary definition.

I know the majority of people wont agree with this point, but the beauty of a democratic society is, I can say it regardless of wether people disagree;

Because its an outdated and forgotten issue, and there have been a handful of peaceful protests correct! but it doesn't change the fact this one isn't.. infact the opposite..
dotenzed 2 years ago
Are you that sure of yourself that it is a forgotten issue? By the looks of it, it seems to be quite up there with any other issue. Just had a thought on this, arn't new zealand children or students rather taught about the colonisation, land wars and eventual treaty as a staple history topic at school?
dotenzed 2 years ago
Nope, unless its changed in the last 5 years. Furthermore, migrants to New Zealand should be made to learn it as well as a pre-requisite to get in, so that they can understand what is happening in New Zealand at the moment.
PacificNemesis 2 years ago
I think its the governments job to establish what migrants, need to have and know, as one myself.. I feel you may be confusing Migrant with refugee, one brings skills and money the other doesnt.. for example I used my education to serve in the New Zealand Defence Forces where there is a huge emphisis on Maori Culture but equally with British Heritage and Culture.. the way perhaps it should be.. Maori in the NZDF would not tolerate the kind of chimp like behavior in this Video, fact.
dotenzed 2 years ago
No I am well aware of who i think should learn the treaty. Migrants, regardless of race, creed or colour should be made to learn about the Treaty of Waitangi no matter what sort of skills you have obtained. Believe you me, Māori in general would not condone this sort of behaviour, not just those who are in the defence force. Night
PacificNemesis 2 years ago
Nope, we're not taught our history in depth or accurately in schools dot. Why do you think that is?
MetalRose001 2 years ago
Because every educational course I have done here has covered the treaty or at least multi-culturalism in some form as a staple topic even when it wasn't relevant to the actual topic.
dotenzed 2 years ago
No its to keep us ignorant. Yes the treaty in some aspects is covered, but none of it includes the argument for Contra Proferedum, or the huge difference in translation, or the fact that Chieftainship over Maori and ownership of all natural resources were to be maintained by Maori in Article 2. Or that some Tribes didnt sign the Treaty at all. Or that there is a Declaration of Independance. Or that their were land confiscation policies. Or that we were never defeated by the British in war.
MetalRose001 2 years ago 2
I think though that t needs to be taught properly in Schools, otherwise we have angry Maori and Angry pakeha attacking each other on the preface of what they see on the T.v, or from people who know little themselves. These issues are'nt straight forward like everyone thinks.

100% Agreed. Im Pakeha, and Pro Crown however I do try an educate my self as often as possible on the Maori side of the 'argument'.

If Maori people were not fighting back with the government, they will just be walking all over us !.. Tuhoe people are just over it.. If yiu get the drift... Maori people are descendents of the land, we should be the one with rights and decisions not the government..

Incidently I've travelled the world and everywhere I went ,people wanted to know everything about the Maori,
They saw me as a white European living in a Maori country (and rightly so)
No-one ever saw me as a "Kiwi".Anyone outside this country wouldn't know what "kiwi" is,
but everyone knew what a Maori was,
A Native New Zealander.
I was mistaken for an English person everywhere I went.
A Maori is unique and unmistakable.
Maori are world reknown.
White New Zealanders are not.

Beliant 2 years ago
Beliant (or should I say beligerent). What you pass off as "kiwi culture" is in fact a pathetic attempt to redefine European culture that has been bludging off Maori land for the last 160 years.
Maori are the true New Zealanders and like Rose has been trying to explain to you,us whites are recent blow-ins who imported English culture (if they ever had one) and language and have been subsuming and destroying the Native culture ever since.
We Pakeha are not indigenous.

All I have tried to express here is the affection/bond that Pakeha or any Kiwi for that matter has developed for NZ. At no point have I suggested that Pakeha are indegenous.
Wipe the bias out of your eyes and have read.
The tone of your paragraph is a great example of belligerence even if you can't spell it..... well done.
Beliant 2 years ago
Beliant never have we accused Kiwis of having no connection to this land - only that in comparison to the connection that Maori have, a Pakehas link is lacking considerably in reverence and sanctity. You have a weak connection in comparisn because of this lack of knowledge about the Tapu of the land and a backward psyche of how its visualized & the Kiwi culture in comparison to Maori lacks considerably in content, meaning, thought, individualism and sacred possession and great many others things
MetalRose001 2 years ago
The only links to the land your qualified to comment on are your own. You don't understand Pakeha sentiment because you aren't one. Consequently your attempts at describing Pakeha sentiment have been clouded by your own bias. Kiwi culture is young and current with the lifestyle I enjoy in this country. If I want to enjoy a more established culture I can draw on my Scottish heritige. Its a perk of being Pakeha living in modern NZ, we can draw on a variety of ancient cultures from our bloodlines.

MetalRose, read my comment again. I don't agree with the content of the "social safety" sentence. It was a direct rebutle to one of your previous comments. I was trying to illustrate the inaccuracy of stereotyping. It seems you're seeing what you want to see to insight argument.
Beliant 2 years ago
I know its hard to not be considered particularly unique to this land. But all you really need is some time to grow and mould and adapt and nurture youselves into the land - if you havent destroyed it completely by then. You are all still very European and lack any profound sense of identity in the Pacific. Give it another 500 years or so and then we may consider you a more worthy title than what you currently are - Europeans living in Aotearoa as opposed to The People of Aotearoa :)
MetalRose001 2 years ago
The Kiwi culture, though new, has developed its own bond with the land you don't identify with and therefore don't understand. You find this inconvient as you thought bonding to the land was exclusive to Maori. Kiwi culture is different to Maori culture - no better, no worse, just different. By being different it is therefore unique by definition. Because its different you don't understand it and because you don't understand it you decry it. Can't think why you'd need to do that....
Beliant 2 years ago
Actually i do identify with the Kiwi culture Beliant - its a perk of being Maori living in modern NZ. You see its quite simple, as a Maori you can grow, understand and live in both worlds, an ignorant Pakeha can only understand one. A knowledgable Pakeha like PK below can understand to a certain level, but not fully. You cant understand us because you dont know our world, but we have been living in yours for over a century and know it well.
MetalRose001 2 years ago
An Ignorant Pakeha will only want to understand one world. An untaught Pakeha may be interested in the Maori culture. I'm the latter. I don't understand the Maori way of life however I respect the Maori people and find the culture interesting. Irregardless of the respect I have towards it, the spiritual way Maori connect to the land means nothing to me and therefore I have no desire to emulate it. I connect on an individual level, through sight, smell and sound of the outdoors.
Beliant 2 years ago
Luckily I don't need to create my own definition of 'indegenous' to support my argument. "White industrial revolution", we're past that. Look outside your own culture, you may a notice a new one has developed around you. It draws its essence from the land and is influenced by all its people including Maori. Its the 'Kiwi' culture. No one brought it here - it was born here!
I am Kiwi, my relationship with NZ is unique. One you could never understand, ever! Its just different than yours.
Beliant 2 years ago
I didnt make up that definition of indigenous - thats what indigenous means - to have created something unique to a place. And in our case our entire culture and race was created here = indigenous. Look it up.
Wot is Kiwi culture but a more relaxed form of European culture? Though it is building a stronger base, there is nothing glaring. Our culture has endured here for over 700 years - Kiwi culture is still in its infancy and lacks any real substance & connection to the land.

'Oxford Study Dictionary'.
-Indegenous. (in-dij-in-us) adjective (of plants, animals or inhabitants) native.
[from Latin indigena = born in a country]
-Native. (adjective) 1 belonging to a person or thing by nature, inborn, natural. 2 (of person) belonging to a particular place by birth.
- Native (noun) a person who was born in a specified place; a native of Canada or ..... NZ.
Bit different to your defintion...
I know I'm not indigenous. Being born here is all I need to connect.
Beliant 2 years ago
Nothing new here Beliant. All this does is reaffirm what i already know.
MetalRose001 2 years ago
So you know that by definition I could legitimately call myself indigenous if I felt the need. Oxford seems to think I am.
Beliant 2 years ago
indigenous by birth right is not the same as indigenous by race.
MetalRose001 2 years ago
I'm a Pakeha and I definitely understand that Maori were shafted in certain area's with the arrival of settlers etc. However I think many Maori under estimate the bond the Pakeha have with New Zealand. I was born here and I can't see how any other person has any greater right to this land than I do. After all even Maori are immigrants to this country.
Beliant 2 years ago
Maori arent immigrants - Maori are indigenous. Its not that you dont have a right to be and belong here Beliant - its just that you dont have the same right as tangata whenua. Dont get Maori wrong, we accept wholeheartedly that you are here and belong here in a sense, but as people of the land our ties to the whenua run deeper than you could possibly imagine. We belong to it more than it belongs to us. Its hard for a Pakeha to understand and no words can express it - and thats what seperates us.
MetalRose001 2 years ago
Your right in that I don't understand the types of tie that Maori hold to this land. However in my opinion I don't believe that the spiritual ties that you describe necessarily define a connection to this land that Pakeha could not possibly imagine. Pakeha hold an extremely strong bond to NZ and just because it may not be as spiritual it is no less intense. To ammend your last sentence. Its hard for a Maori to understand and no words can express it - and thats what seperates us.
Beliant 2 years ago
The connection Maori have with the land surpasses mere birth rights. Our taniwha for example, our gods and spirits that are representative of the land. The customs we perform in reverence and respect to natural and spiritual forces all come from being descended from the land. Tribal affiliations are defined by land territories. The fact we were here before you intensifies our connection to it. Where we want to 'preserve' the land, pakeha it seems seeks only to destroy it. We died for this.
MetalRose001 2 years ago
To ammend your last sentence. "where we want to 'preserve' safe society, maori it seems seek only to destroy it". Sounds rediculous huh....over generalisation is not sound argument. Your comments seem more based from emotion that fact. Sure there are destructive Pakeha in NZ but there is also a huge proportion who love and nurture this land. From your comments I feel you are confirming my original point. That many Maori under estimate the bond that Pakeha have with NZ. We too have died for this.
Beliant 2 years ago
Look at the world around you Beliant - its got "white industrial revolution" written all over it. Died for this? You people? Oh do elucidate - because besides from WW2 you've suffered nothing. I dont care if i under estimate the bond "some" pakeha have to NZ - the point is you are not indigenous to the land and therefore your culture is not built into and born out of the very fabric of the enviroment = less vital connection for you. You brought your culture here - ours was born here.

If Tuhoe were really the terrorists the government made them out to be then their reaction through the police would hav been inadequate,

Wow, cavemen.
Maybe if they were a little be more intelligent and educated they would relaize that using words is more effective at communicating, then putting a cloth around your head and just shouting. Truly, go back to school. Get some education. Leanr how to be civillized, then go and speak to the media/police.
PR0GRAMMING 3 years ago 3
Wow, idiot
Maybe if YOU were a little more intelligent YOU would realize that the complexity of the argument as demonstrated in this clip is/was a breach of international human & indegenious peoples rights. Instead of passing judgement under the content of a 3:38 minute YT clip, you should instead develop an educated opinion.
You also forget that it was the police that actually triggered this outrage to begin with - so what help are they? As for the media - they have to remain objective.
MetalRose001 3 years ago
Maori are completely reliant on us, it's quite sad. To think you try to call your proud and honorable? a warrior? fuck off you're weak. If all the white people fucked off, this country would turn to hell with Maori's trying to run it. Yet, if all the Maoris fucked off this country would be an amazing place to live and not just a great place to leave.
hacksawdecapitator 3 years ago
Look at these fucking apes. The cunt in green trying to be intimidating yelling shit? just makes you want to splatter the brains of that whori in green all over that fucking pavement.
Maori are completely ungreatful for the opportunities we have given them. To live in a developed country, education health etc. They even get more advantages over NZ European (no I want label us with that Maori word) because of this treat claim BS. This shit can only lead to more tension. I welcome it.
hacksawdecapitator 3 years ago
I refute this comment hacksaw. I for one am grateful for the little opportunities Pākeha have given Māori. If by health, you mean against the introduced diseases Pākeha brought. If by education you mean the education system that marginilised the Māori culture and still it failed us? Yeah thanks heaps. It is not advantages, it is getting compensation, even the government acknolwedges that, so why cant you.
PacificNemesis 3 years ago
You're stupid.
By heath I mean Maori able to see highly educated European doctors and the usage of colonized medicine. Maori were starting to decline, before European colonization smart one.
By education, I mean Maori taking advantage of all the resources and scholarships available and to be taught by educated Europeans. We can't help it if you incapable of keeping up with us.
hacksawdecapitator 3 years ago
Get your facts right before you open your big fat mouth. The Māori population was not at all in decline before European colonization. Dont speak to me about education, it sounds like YOU are the one who needs to get educated. Out of all my professors and lectures here at uni, 4 are Māori, 4 are Pākeha, 1 is Japanese, and 1 is from Papua New Guinea. Taught by educated Europeans? hardly. I do however respect all my teachers.
PacificNemesis 3 years ago
Maori culture declining because of us? If anything European culture is declining becasue too much emphasis on Maori culture.
It is advantages you idiot. Don't you see, it is Maori who are holding European people back? This country would be a far better place to live without any Maori to live off our tax dollars and commit crimes. We can't keep giving handouts to the retarded kid of society, it'll end one day. In the mean time continue to get on your knees and beg to your superiors.
hacksawdecapitator 3 years ago
There has only been "too much emphasis on Māori culture" in the last 28 years mate. It is a gross generalisation to think all Māori live off tax handouts. YOU for one should know that the biggest enthinicity on the pension is White Europeans, there are more on there then Māori on all pensions combined. Commit crimes? Like how Pākeha have the highest Peadophilia rate etc. Dont call me a idiot if you are not up for a debate.
PacificNemesis 3 years ago
4 Maori lecturers? mustn't be going for a highly paid career. I wonder who educated those Maori?
You have to look at the population differences if you're going to use the argument of more European people on the benefit. Also, look at the prisons, overpopulated and half of it is Maori followed closely by their Polynesian cousins. Who do you think is paying to keep those apes in their cages? Pedophilia may be higher for us, but look at who all the violent crimes and thievery are committed by.
hacksawdecapitator 3 years ago
That is where you are wrong, the 4 Māori lectures are Professors and Doctors, they are earning way over 100k a year. Not that money is everything to Māori. My point was that i am not being solely educated by Europeans. Your point was that we are all educated by Europeans which is in fact wrong.
PacificNemesis 3 years ago
If those lectures are earning over 100k as you say then I highly doubt that they themselves were taught by Maori, unless you're doing some kind of Maori studies. I'm all for putting Maori into tertiary education, it would be nice if everyone was useful and contributed to society.
hacksawdecapitator 3 years ago
And you are the one that just said Maori are holding european back, if you were really superior then you wouldnt be in this situation would you.
PacificNemesis 3 years ago

In 1818 Hone Heke went to Australia and bought 300 muskets used to wipe out most of the Maori warriors in northland, then Te Rauparaha continued this destruction from Taranaki to Kaikoura, all before the European settlers arrived.
torqueingheads 3 years ago
Actually, since the arrival of Pākeha, a further more 20 species of animals have become extinct. It was Pākeha whalers who set up whaler stations everywhere that were the main cause of the decline in the population of dolphins and seals, not Māori. Pākeha have removed 85% of forestry and polluted alot of our waterways and brought polution to our skies.
PacificNemesis 3 years ago
But you don't mind the warm house, electricity, running water, health system, if you don't enjoy western civilisation, build a mudhut in the bush and eat fernroots, simple.
torqueingheads 3 years ago
so you acknowledge that you just made a false statement.
PacificNemesis 3 years ago
The only false statements are yours, remember you're conversing with a white man son, show some respect. New Zealand has 7 million acres of Native forest, more than enough to build your mudhut, so get busy.
torqueingheads 3 years ago
I dont believe ive disrespected you at all. And no my statements are not false. And like i said we cant live in the forests that are left, simply because of the reasons i stated below. If you would like to disregard that then thats fine with me, but theres no point really in furthering this conversation.
PacificNemesis 3 years ago
Oh please, where's the DeLorean? Doc, we gotta take torqueingheads back to the deep south in the 18th century!
ariki08 3 years ago
Are you aware of the research indicating that the moa was already in decline before Polynesians arrived in the islands?
In fact, if we're going to talk about extinction, why don't we talk about the plight of the defenceless dodo against the white men that used to hunt it without abandon?
Most of the seals and dolphins? Got facts to back that one up?
Burnt down huge tracts of forest - care to indicate where those forests were once located?
ariki08 3 years ago
They were slaughtered just the same. They were warned of the impending raid and held a meeting to decide a course of action. Because they were a peaceful people the decision was made to welcome the Maoris and as a result were lined up on the beach, clubbed to death and eaten. Some women and children were kept as slaves and treated with unimaginable cruelty for the next 40 years.
torqueingheads 3 years ago
Then a group of sandal wearing, hairy legged polititions decided that appeasing this noisy mob with money would not only shut them up but attract their vote too. What they didn't count on was some sly fatcats grabbing all the cash for themselves and making a mockery of the notion of Maori solidarity and allowing the Maori to rediscover within himself his true moral code.
torqueingheads 3 years ago
It was clearer than crystal to the lords of the State preserves of loaves and fishes, that things in general were settled for ever. But then along came a generation of born again haters and wreckers with a contrived cause, confused identity and associated victim mentality, hell bent on rewriting history and demanding compensation for even suggesting grandad sold out. And futhermore, Maori were wise ecologists, mystical sages, heroic navigators and pacifists who wouldn't hurt a fly.

Mate our value for land - you will never understand!
limpbiscuit1 3 years ago
some white people are abusive and some black people are, you could say, some people are abusive... I fully understand the value for land you proclaim sole understanding of. How come an exclusive few Maori have benefitted from land given back? I still see mongrel mob and other losers walking around intimidating? Drinking, smoking, inhaling P, vandalising.. THese are the people who have destroyed your people not white people, most white people are in the same boat as you with no land just debt.
randyslippers 3 years ago
I'm glad you call NZ, or Aotearoa home, but there are people that exploit our land and it's beauty. The "Mongrel Mob" was a gand formed by white and brown - in the 70's ina bid to protest against the welfare system (run by white) who employed "sex abusers"and "physically abusive"people. I taught in a school where many children were from these families, and their families were the result of the "Westernized" idea of the ideal family, the "Nuclear" family, you really must look at the "Native Act

Good work limpbiscuit1.
LOL
MetalRose001 3 years ago
Don't forget Sir Brad Rose, although during a recent engagement at Drivers License, he was caught fraternising with the enemy and is now to face charges of treason at a disciplinary
hearing. His actions forced a strategic withdrawl and as a result, the fighting is now sporadic and on several fronts. It's hoped a planned pincer movement at Tame Iti on Waitangi, led by Sir George will force the enemy to concentrate their forces, allowing a breakout at Tuhoe Nation Part 1.
torqueingheads 3 years ago
Oh how could I forget Brad The Betrayer! He who forssok his blood-kin, rallied to the Kings call, converted to Baldheadism & led a charge at Once Apon A Waitangi against the fabled Metal Revolution. Luckily for the Chieftess of the MRR, she was joined by the Brospartan Rebellion, which led to a chain of events that forced Brad to question his alligence to the King, retreat his assault on most fronts & force a tie breaker. The King now fears a revolt while the rebels tempt Sir Brad further...
MetalRose001 3 years ago
While the King sends his Cavalry to disarm rebel forces at Tame Iti @ Waitangi, the Chieftess of the MRR questions her own faith in her Tuhoe liberator kindred. Discerning this, the King orders a forced assault at Tuhoe Nation Part 1.
Pressure on MRR forces is increasing - The Brospartan Rebellion has seemed to return underground, leaving the MRR to conclude Treaty negotiations with ariki08 (Chief of the Tamaki Makaurau rebel faction) and continue watch on all fronts alone.
Dire...
MetalRose001 3 years ago
Don't think Brospartan's absence has gone unnoticed, rumours abound he's planning an ambush at Civil Rights under attack and now has the support of Dragontoes and Iampolynesian, courtesy to an obscure bloodline. The defection of Sir Brad has caused some uneasiness in the ranks and a victory, or at the very least a truce is needed at Tuhoe Nation Part 1 to boost moral before Brospartan's anticipated onslaught.

Ariki has been seen eating tofu and lentils with a group of islamofacist, homosexual, treehuggers, chanting hari chrishna while fladulating themselves with copies of the oxford dictionary.
torqueingheads 3 years ago
Yes, chief ariki has been compromised by the infiltration of PC-tanga. With oxford in hand he seeks to supplant me. But the plight of the MRR exceeds internal conflict, therefore she has been forced to call a truce and yield to his request for an apology.
The Bro remains silent as he gathers legions of stregnth unto himself. A time will soon come for his valiant return. Until then, the Cavalry runs rampant in enemy territory and the MRR continues sending support to those on the front line.
MetalRose001 3 years ago
To throw a cat amongst the pidgeons, why would I chant hari chrishna chants if I eat lentils and tofu with a group of islamofacist homosexual tree huggers? None of that makes sense. It's all an oxymoron.
Why would you oxymoron the oxygen we breathe?
ariki08 3 years ago
White people rape, yeah great observation I think you'll find brown ones do too. I don't buy into the 'borrow' argument, They knew exactly what sell meant and if some didn't, it had more to do with ignorance. Moriori arrived in the Chatham Islands either just before or at the same time as the first Maori were busy settling on the mainland. It is sometimes claimed that the Moriori were a race that settled previous to the arrival of Maori, however it appears there is no evidence to support that.
torqueingheads 3 years ago
Yes but see you down play any wrong doing on the part of white people.
In early 19th century Māori, there was no word equivalent for sell. Tuku which English - Māori translators tried using does not convey the notion of 'to sell, sold' in early 19th century Māori or even in modern Māori for that matter.
You do not have any proof that there was an exact word equivalent of 'to sell, sale, sold' in early 19th century Māori.
ariki08 3 years ago
As usual Maoris are doing their cause no favours. If any of them had half a brain they would attempt to get middle class NZrs onside, including Middle class Maoris. However the displays of fools like this do exactly the opposite and the failure of their leaders to openly condemn such action is conformation that Maoris are disjointed and disorganised rabble. Conformation too of their obvious deficiencies and inabilitys should they ever acheive self determination.
torqueingheads 3 years ago
Honey, if Maori didn't protest no one would be aware of their plight. And you would not have written this comment. Welcome to the world of the "know" Now sit back and LEARN
limpbiscuit1 3 years ago
What plight is that then? Any prospective allies to your imaginary cause have long since been allianated by the monkeys in the video above. Welcome to the world of contempt and disgust.
torqueingheads 3 years ago
O.k, there is no need to "label" people, what is needed is understanding. Please read the "Native Act"and visit places like Anamata Private Training Establishment or Awanuiarangi. I am very positive that your view will widen...it is sad that many people do not understand...even now!!!
limpbiscuit1 3 years ago
You misunderstood me, my point was not Maoris argument, but how it was being presented. The conduct of the Maoris in the above video is simply abysmal, they are belittling their cause and doing it serious harm. A group that behaves like rabble just makes it easy for everyone to treat them as such and how Maori can't see that is beyond me. The only explaination I think is that this is accepted behaviour within Maori culture.
torqueingheads 3 years ago
And THAT is precisely my point. What do you consider acceptable behavior. You see, white man arrived in NZ proclaiming that they "discovered" it, forced their "ideals" on to a people who had their own philosophies. Understanding is the KEY, what would YOU do if I came to YOUR house, said it was mine now, took it,raped your wife and expected you to be understanding and calm about it. My friend, Maori could be MUCH uglier, but whiteman took advantage of the kindness shown to them. Hmmmmmmm..
limpbiscuit1 3 years ago
Except the situation isn't exactly as you descibed, it's more like, my grandad arrived at your grandad's house, noticed it wasn't being used and offered him a good price. Your grandad saw a golden opportunity to arm himself with enough hardware to permanently silence the neighbours, with whom he had an ongoing dispute. Then his daughters took a fancy to the young white settlers and in a few generations the race became extinct. Life was good and everyone would've lived happily ever after.
torqueingheads 3 years ago
No, sorry, see when we "traded" the land it was perceived as "borrow" but the whiteman had different ideas - ITS ALL MINE TO KEEP AND DISTROY! And that's the difference, we look at the land as are the caretakers of, not just ours, but for the coming generations. Your grandad took fancy of Maori kindness and acceptance and thought nothing of raping the girlies and killing the harmless whales. Take, take, take. All over the world this happend. Now, please don't assume I'm Maori, I may not be...
