  • how can the audience just stand there? i'd be going nuts!

  • If the rest of the world knew Will Ferrel played bass, they'd be so much more popular.

  • Is the high, chirpy sound coming from some kind of sequencer? Because it doesn't look like anybody's playing synth...

  • @sonic777111 I was assuming that's why he has one sock off.

  • I met a great friend that passed away in 2010 and he introduced me to this band. I can't help but cry everytime i hear them now. Miss you steven xxx

  • @BreakbeatCarlow *pat on the back*

  • I actually really like how the crowd is reacting in this video. Not excited, or tainted with negative energy. Just listening, as if in bewilderment of what they're hearing. They're listening for the music, and for the vibe.

  • Will Ferrell on bass!

  • I wonder how everyone can just stand there when Cloud Cult plays!

  • this cd + some weed = WORLD FUCKING PEACE

  • @DustyRog

this band plus some thing called 2CI...will change your perspective on life, humanity, and everything that could possibly stand for anything. ..try it.

  • @mike1234567866666666 just do the acid! No need to mess around w/ the research chems!

  • @DustyRog >marijuana >world peace

    cool story bro.

  • i think this band is comfortable where ever they stand

  • i think this band is confortable where ever they stand

  • I love this band :)

  • INDIE

  • @EstherSeesStars Idiot.

  • this might be so, but clearly someones doing it better.

  • what a lame crowd

  • i dont think they are so different....i get the feeling that they kinda wanna be the arcade fire. but at least they are good at it.

  • @ldaubs cloud cult doesn't sound like arcade fire, arcade fire sounds like cloud cult....They've been around alot longer!

  • These guys sound tight in concert. The video doesn't capture how good these guys sound. We have seen them a couple times and they are amazing. They still love to play music and give all they got. We can't wait to see them again.

  • that crowds so small and theyre so big they could play arenas. is prefer they dont though. comming to Europe would be nice...

  • u look terrible

  • melodies remind me of the cranberries :O

  • I do love how They choose not to have a "look" like if you look at most bands, like if you look at Muse, they have there tight pants and all of that, but that's not what a band is suppose to be, and Cloud Cult definatley has that down they are abou tthe music and the sound and they have that.

  • @zingy1256 But muse are wearing their tight pants since the late nineties (high voices come at a price i guess^^). I know what you mean though, but selling out has nothing to do with clothing. If Cloud Cult would go mainstream your whole theorie 'd be obsolete^^

  • @kAmi9teen8y5 If Cloud Cult went main stream, I would cry. And not the joyful cry, either.

  • Whoah, Will Ferrel plays in Cloud Cult!?

  • i Thought there were more to the band and i also know that a few play a cello violin and viola

  • @Justinofun I think there are a few musicians who come in when instruments are needed.. there is another woman (blonde) and another dark-haired guy I've seen playing viola and guitar

  • Saugeil!

  • cool

  • isenseven!!

  • POSTMARKS - No One Said This Would Be???

  • bleh

  • love this song so much but i dont think this is the best version of this song that they have done

  • Cloud Cult = ♥

  • The lead keyboard/guitar who is palying it?

I hear an instrument that I cant see?

  • its on loop on the keyboard..

  • this song makes me cry. because it's so happy. haha

  • i love how he said thank you at the end

  • 10 k i was there too! it was amazing

  • i saw them live at 10k on friday they were fuckin awesome!!!!

  • ME TOO!!! I was front and center, loving every second of it!! :)

  • Awesome!

  • if you like these guys you'll most likely appreciate the band Anathallo

  • This is amazing.

  • This is wonderful. I just discovered them. Kinda reminds me of Modest Mouse, if that's possible.

  • Nah.. I was thinking more like a slightly stoopid... Well for there other songs anyways. Hard to tell on this song, but the guys voice sounds just like Syd Barretts with a little bit of Roger Waters mixed in... no joke... download some studio versions

  • Sure are a lot of hate comments generated for such a pretty song.

  • check out will ferrell on bass!!!

  • haha, wow. Yeah I guess he does look a little big like him. Well, if Will had a baby with Seth Rogan, it would be him!

  • so so f*** awesome... love it

  • that's an insult, you dolt.

  • silly children.

do you even listen to what they are singing/playing about?

or are you to busy comparing clothes and corporate products to other clothes and corporate products you buy to fill up the empty spaces?

    you have been indoctrinated.

  • Coachella!!! April 18 CLOUD CULT at 1:30 to 2:10! My most fav. band ever!

  • you're a jerk, to put it blunty. sorry friend. please take care of how you say things. yes i know im a hypocrite by calling you a jerk. try to understand our meaning, we are hurting.

  • try not to sound too much like a radical hippy, but i agree with what you're saying.

  • they remind me of mute math.

  • They're so different... It looks like they're having a good time. :3 They're not all about the emo-look or with the huge chains and gold clocks around their neck. They just want to play music and have people enjoy it. That's what I like about Cloud Cult. (Sorry if I offended anybody with the emo or gangster thing, I'm just saying... A lot of bands are like that these days.)

  • @Melanie77307 Very true. Shame shame on those fad creators!

  • what i was saying was hippie as peace and save the earth

    not "hip" like.

  • a good band but little hippie

  • obviously you know nothing about music, "hippie", really?

  • first time I heard of this group was in tv in e-surance comercial and I saw the style , loved it, even that I am frm a centralamerican country and used to other kind of music BUT this is a great group hope this guys make it big, music with sence and easy to listen... (I am tired of gansta music, regaeton and music without sence in lirics and even rithm this is good as this guys said is not easy but it is a very nice style the one they have,, great

  • this band has been around for a while, they're not all about "making it big"

  • they really have an amazing sound

    X)

  • This band is really inspiring to me, they're extremely talented.

  • Most bands suck live...but this is good...I would pay to see this....and I dont pay for music.

  • That's not very nice. Your favorite bands have to eat too :(

  • Well...lets see...they go to fancy resturants, eat good food, lobster and what have you...and I eat beans and rice, sometimes Ramen, and a lot of spam. They sing songs, and work their ass off....I just work my ass off. Do you think I care if my fav. band has to eat less lobster, and maybe ( God forbid ) have day jobs?..lol. Sorry, even with the " Pirates ", they still live well...better than I do.

  • Agreed.

  • lobster? what the fuck?

  • Crystall...or however you spell it..LOL. Or really good pizza...with like diamonds on it...

  • Sorry, but they dont just sing songs, they play songs, their is more to music than singing, such as bass, drums, and guitar. I just go off on a rant when people say "sing songs" because their is instruments too

  • I get you.

  • Ok, let me start by saying I don't buy CDs or anything. Bands see very little of the money from this.

What they do make money from, however, is people going out to shows and buying t-shirts and other merch. As an indie musician, I am astounded by the assumption that bands "go to fancy restaurants..." etc. Of the relatively few bands that are able to eck out a living with their music, the majority of them have, at most, just enough to keep their head above water and eat "beans and rice" daily.

  • Oh I agree with you!!! Im talking about all the rest of them. The ones on MTV's Cribs....when they open their fridge, crystall and all that stuff falls out...LOL. Your right most bands dont see very much money at all from the cds', my friend managed a few bands. So its like im robbing those suits that just sit back and take money, so I feel good about that. Cloud Cult..they have day jobs, therefor I won't steal from them.

  • I love their cause. The WC helped them gain alot of media attention. IMO. Loose the "woodstock free love" appearance and get with the age. You will be alot more affective. I am 40 and a previous global warmer. The message is getting out. I am Not a POT SMOKER or a tree hugger and never intend 2 be. I would like 2 do my part for my children and the rest of the human race..

  • free love is amazing...

  • Yeah.. I'm only 16 and completely agree with the environmentally conscious cause they have. And what TheCareMores said - free love is amazing lol, make love not war, Peace!

  • word

  • World's Best Non-profit!

This band is brilliant live! I've seen them 10X. This may be their worst video on the net. Go watch them instead, you will love yourself for it.

  • Sorry, but I just wrote my opinion. If you think this is a perfect song...great, wonderful!

I just think that the lady with red shirt is almoust screaming and, in my opinion, isn't very well...

  • i was saying shut up to

    Liluh08's comment

  • Great song ... Great Band No One Said It Would Be Easy ... That's what My Mom always told me too

  • AWESOME....

  • none of them are wearing shoes! =D!

  • This song really means something to me! It is very pretty!

But I didn't like this videos... I don't know... They aren't singing well. I prefer the study version.

  • its just an opinion...

  • ahh! anyone else notice the "up from ground, million little pieces" is also in everybody here is a cloud!?

  • This band is the best new band I've come across in a long time!! I love them, this is a great song and is perfect live, too.

their new album is filled with great, addictive songs.I can't stop listening to it.

  • new as in 7 years old!

  • what a wonderful song,

  • Lo mejor del mundo . esta es verdadera musica . esa que estremese el alma <3

  • how the F**k r u lennydado?

  • who the fuck are they , impressional

  • I think they made the best cd of the year

  • yup

  • lamololol im view number 6,666 ^_^

  • forget the aussie and the english and the american bands this can only come from the heart and i mean the heart!! that means from actually losing something that only the childless can feel and i mean their are others out their and their feelings are spread through cloud cult's music!!!!!

  • It must be tough for a group of great musicians to play to a collection of catatonics. Talk about pearls before swine.

  • I live in Austin and it is waaaay hard to get a crowd to move. I don't know why, tons of great bands here.

  • sxsw isn't exactly the best place to play in front of pumped up crowds. especially not at shows like this, its mostly just people that sort of stumble on it by accident, and the people that are there to see the band are outnumbered pretty heavily by the "huh, who are these dudes". Really kills the whole energy of the crowd.

For rocking crowds you've got to have an incredible live show (ala the Flaming Lips) or be playing at a really great venue (not on the street).

  • @umlcumlc we catatonics are offended!

  • CC deserves a better audience than that

  • i thought i was the only person in the world who appreciated cloud cult's music

  • they have gotten very popular! i saw them in portland in may of 08, it was a packed house and everyone was singing along the whole show.

  • What the heck was up w/ that audience? I can't keep still at a CC show and they were sitting??? I agree w/ the other commenters...LAME

  • Awesome song - totally lame crowd....

  • i can only guess that the folks out there at sxsw had not heard of cloud cult before, and were simply too STUNNED to be able to react

  • haha of course. I saw them in seattle and there was NO way they weren't coming back onstage afterwards, everybody loved them so much..

  • Me too PaulRayIsMe. Me too.

  • Cloud Cult,

You almost always give me goose bumps and sometimes make me cry.

    That's Music. That's Art!

  • the music is so friendly,

    and the lyrics so personal

  • Yeah, it's hard for me to read the lyrics on some of the songs given that they mostly revolve around the pain of recovering from the death of their child :^( Latest album seems a bit more positive....

  • lame crowd

  • I was thinking the same thing...if I was there, I would definately be rocking out.

  • Seeing them tonight in St Louis and extremely excited.

  • Cloud Cult is such a fantastic group. I've really gotten into them more and more lately.

  • These guys have felt what I have felt.

    Real music.

  • I have to say...I like it...
