i think getting your kayak there is the least of the problems... I would aver that dodging the Pakistani and later, once you've entered the Kisanganga (Neelam) river, the Indian bullets might prove more challenging than the river itself... there is an account of my last experience following an attempt to revisit this spot on my web site blog... you will though need to scroll a bit down to find it... phasm.co.uk/the-lunar-blog/theological-anarchism.html
yes for someone inexperienced this could be very dangerous but it does look runnable. the holes do look a little sticky and i would watch the cave on river right, but i have seen people run way worse.
Did the guy that made this vid know anything about rivers??????? mate kayakers have run alot more harder shit than that ae. u wouldnt wana go in there without a life jacket but with a life jacket it'd be a fun swim.
because if you fall in here.... you die.. likely by being amalgated with the water.. but as you find it so beautifal (I totally agree!) I think you will enjoy the 3 other vids I recently uploaded (saharda walk, sharda bus ride and river flowing backwards).
@bahugunashalini yar really its a death place i also visited there jub gari uper say utarna start kerta hay to yeh bilkull chunna sa hota hay or nechay pohnch ker uff!
and one more thing yahan trout fish milti hay woh zarur khana me nay nhe khai thi kiun kay time kam tha lakin ustadd yeh jaga bohat akhir kamal hay
ahh... now don't i wish i could show you more of this river (the Saraswati or Sorgun) and of the river it flows into (the Kisanganga or Neelam) .. not only is there over 200km of white water that drops over 1km but it is the most stunning valley of Kashmir, a place the phrase "MASHALLAH!' has meaning and the only river I have seen that flows uphill! (yes I have film of a river flowing in two directions at once! at precisely the centre of the beaty that is SHARDA!
@greenman023 And your river running uphill video!?? That is called an Eddy my friend. And By the way..for you to say this river is not runnable in a kayak or raft is tottally ridiculous. It is class V whitewater but I dont see anything more dangerous than other rivers around the world... Just a class V run. that is all. You seem to have little to no knowledge about whitewater so I wouldnt correct people commenting on your video if I were you!
Deffinatly, top hole a lot of power through and a boof hard river left, and the bottom hole river right, alot of water flushing through again hard and fast alot of power and a boof!
looks runnable to me. the first big hole looks like it's actually flushing a bit, and the bottom hole looks stickier. the thing that would worry me is the ugly cave on river right.
definitely runnable. i've seen crazier stuff than this being styled by some more experienced people. hell, this one's probably already been run at some point.
dude thats why its solid 5 clearly dangerous but ruunable hav u seen the shit people have been runnin these days clearly this is harder than a 186 footer besides u dont even know who i am how do u no i wouldnt run that shit if i saw it
this is definitely not runnable.. a guy slipped into these waters and died. The local govt. does not allow rafting here coz the water flow is way too fast..
Runnable. Not by me, but runnable. You could stay out of that cave for sure, and the last hole is the only one that looks super grabby, and there is nothing below it, so you could just surf it out. the drop at the top might be muchy, but you can't see it very well from this angle.
yea, when first looking at that middle whole and the cave it is a bit dodgy but I agree, the cave is easily avoidable, and it appears that you would have enough speed to punch that whole without too much hassle.
Only New Jerseyans have hard enought heads to do that. Was that an ungraded run? We expect you back to work ASAP before you get another "idea." Seriously, I hope no one broke anything bigger than a toenail.
this short clip is from the Neelam Valley of Pakistan administered Kashmir. It was filmed just prior to the main ice melt whilst the river Sarasvati was at it's lowest. to see pictures of this river and the one it flows into, the Kisanganga please visit my photo file.. I'll post the details when I can

@bahugunashalini : The Beauty of Death
Let me sleep, for my soul is intoxicated with love and
Let me rest, for my spirit has had its bounty of days and nights;
Light the candles and burn the incense around my bed, and
Scatter leaves of jasmine and roses over my body;
Embalm my hair with frankincense and sprinkle my feet with perfume,
And read what the hand of Death has written on my forehead ..

Solid 6 mate. You wouldn't run it. I wouldn't run it. Most sane people would not run it.
Lets face it, its fekin huge.
Theres so many places where you could get trapped in there.
That hole is big enough to kill you with no trouble alone.
