there is a glitch similar to this but you don't need to be in multiplayer.

in the mission "snail trail" where you gotta follow that train to market station, during your trip you will pass some other trains, when a train passes follow it and when it get's to cranberry station it makes a right turn and goes straight going through everything, jump on the train and follow you can loose it in the higher hills, but it eventually gets on the track again near the first island.

@lakshayhot it's not a cheat, the vehicle is programmed to drive on a special way, it can't move left when it doesn't programmed to go left

No one said it was a glitch. This mod that makes you drive the tram; it means that it goes round all the track, even invisible portions of it.
