  • This was my Shit back in the Daze!

  • Nocera had more than one hit she had Summer Summer Time and Let's Go two good party songs I had a great time in the late 80's playing these tracks at clubs and house parties.

  • Nocera Had more than one hit she has Summer Summer Time and of course Lets Go! Good music good times .

  • A classic one hit wonder... loved it.

  • I saw her at the Salinas Armory Hall back in '87 and I love her music, she is however, a little performance-challenged.

All in all this and other music from the '80's is pure goodness.

  • Yea, What a Jam!

  • slamin

  • Nocera you kicked ass back in the days! i love this music...

  • Dance music back then was dope with 808's,909' drum machines back then, now its eletronica today!

  • Mantronix....My favorite

  • get familiar youngins...this was a big tune for the freestyle dance music scene back in the day. big up Mantronix for the remix that made it a hit.

  • Yes, furthermore we don't hear this on the radio now but we did a lot about 24 years ago.

  • @likeomfgitsrobert

if you can appreciate lady gaga and beyonce then you should give Nocera a chance listen to summertime. Back then was when music was meaningful and with beat. Also most artists used that era to be what they are. Look at the styles.

  • Studio 47 ,Ladies Night, and then cruisin!! What happened S.J.? Wish I could go back for just one day!!!

  • The only songs I knew by her were this and SUMMERTIME. Did she have an album and any slow songs? Also, how did she do on the charts??

  • I'm back in high school on the Upper West Side! Such memories! Loved the album! Peace.

  • This takes me back to the days when NYC was off the chain. Before Hot 97 became a hip-hop station, it was once a station that played freestyle and dance music.

  • Freestyle.. how would you define.. I see about love and longiing.. Is this considered computer music?

  • If I only had a time machine, I would go back to that time period and live it all over again.

  • @bammer259 I hate to sound overly nostalgic, but I think I agree with you! I was a teenager in the 1980s and it was a very happy time in my life. Music was a big part of that happiness. So much great stuff--New Wave, Freestyle, Hair Metal, funky R&B, and straightforward pop.

Nocera's about as cheesy as it gets, but that's partly why I love her! A woman with very little singing talent having the time of her life nonetheless. :-)

  • That's an awesome song.

  • i was almost certain this song was just a figment of my imagination. thanks for the upload - i would like totally do this bitch/diva if i could go back 22 yrs.

  • totally rad to the max! what was the budget on this video? free Subway footlongs for everyone? btw, nice heath ledger cameo at the end. seriously, love the song, but now i know why i never saw this video, i didn't have a betamax player

  • oh my god this was always a great song... i have to agree with thewhitedragoranger about the spikes but i am gothic so i wear them everyday...i love the 80's...

  • 4th rate Madonna ORRIBLE

  • Freestyle was good

  • bigg chune!!!my lil 6 yr old n her cuzz jam to this!!big chune.

    It was hot!

  • OMG---@Steelerdave2000..I went to all those places..Red Onion, Mr.j's Florentine..way to memories you just brought back big time..

  • FREESTYLE!!!!

  • Nice, Memories back in time when i hear this, Calif...great

  • she still scares me with her mask at 0:13 ahahahaha

  • love this song did she make a music video for "sumertime summertime"?

  • My best years in the clubs. Red Onion West Covina, Peppers City Of Industry, Almanzer Court Alhambra.

  • @Rudylobos Red Onion!!! I was there banging the Cha-Cha Cougars from 1985 to about 1989. Damn, those were the days. Don't forget the FLorentine Gardens in Hollywood and Mr. J's in El Monte!!! Saw Expose and the Cover Girls back in the day - 8 bucks a ticket at the palace - I think it's a rave club now.

  • I would do it all over again... I love the 80's .

  • @steelerdave2000

I live behind the florentine gardens by the scientology celebrity center and that place is a total dump now. they need to knock it down and build a new club there. but good music like this will live forever even though the venue should be condemed and demolished

  • sounds like Minnie Mouse on helium...LMFAOL..

  • dont take off the mask, dont take off the mask, DON'T DO IT !!!!

  • hahahahahaha

  • I LOVE this song...Brings back sooo much memories.

  • RAAAAARRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like her face at about sec 0:13 - 0:14 when she takes off her mask, she scares me!!!

  • @robix73

freaked me the fuck out too !! i love the song and think she is so beautiful but there was just something about the whole mask concept that just didnt work out so well, hahahaha

  • Woo Hoo Debbie Gibson at the end!!!

  • yo i remember the king brothers used to bang to this shit back in 89 when i was a shorty

  • That's cheesy, but I wouldn't be surprised if they actually did that.

  • umm...I don't think so.

  • Very Great Rythim, Beats and Voice ! GREAT !

But the vid style SUX !

  • Thanks for posting this, it's so dam cool! I had my hair just like that back n the day, only bigger! Omg the memories of being underage & dancing all night in TJ, Revolucion Rd! You know what I'm talkin' bout!

  • i do, those federalies arrested me one night after 5 college fools tried to jump me on revolucion blvd. just below el toro club and put me in back of a pick up truck and handcuffed me to a bar on the pick up truck with those guys...i paid the mexican cop $20 bucks and he let me go..i gave him an extra $20 to beat up those guys who tried to jump me and those guys were so scared to be arrested in tiajuana they had the nerve to ask me to bail them out.....i laughed and ran back to continue drinking

  • Remember the Time in Cuba 1990' try to get Power 96 from Miami listen Freestyle Music

she's one of my favorite NORCERA

is my first time that i see her almost in 20 years

  • Hey everybody, discoliscious100, discoguy79, Pulsatingdisco, Nada4vivi, 7olusegun, Edgar1013 are the same person with different user names. He's going around stalking and trashing artists in particular Nocera.

  • why?

  • Talent and looks! Awsome video btw!

  • tnx for posting this memories!

  • Dam KUOR the beat that was the shit...

Back in the days in the Big IE ,MINI TRUCKS CHICKS W big hair Mt. Vernon and hose parties dope sex and all that shit

  • OMG, reminds me of summer 1987..I think Kiss FM in Los Angeles used to play this song. And if I remember, I had just gotten a yellow water proof Sony walk man and ghetto blaster and I would play this tape! Man I miss the 80s, life was so much mor simple back then..

  • For all of you who think she is so "cute," go to Fresno, San Jose, Hayward, and Modesto (CA). You will find young women who still wear the same fashions, still wear the "big hair," and apply their make up with paint rollers. Think I'm kidding? Just take a trip.

You'll think your back in 1985. For the full effect make sure this song is playing.

  • one of my all time favs and no way compared to madonna

  • Another one!! This was and still is good stuff!!

  • Thx to YT is have seen that I am by far not the only one thinking this!

  • Now that's what i call music!

  • Nocera is so freakin' cute in this video!! I love how her look and voice match perfectly.

  • She is too cute!

  • This song is hella tight...I was born in 84 and I didn't hear this song till I was like 12 yrs old...always wondered what the girl looked like because she sounds hot...too bad I was just a kid back in the day and missed lots of good musik!!X!3

  • real tight!!she sing's a song go's by the name summer time u got a car blast both joint this summa...bigg chune!!blesss.

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!! This is the very first time I'm seeing the video to this slammin' classic and I love it!!!! I'm very surprised that this song didn't receive as much airplay here in Chicago as her 1st hit Summertime, Summertime :) Favored and rated 20 stars all the way :) Thank you so much for making my day by uploading this huge dance classic :) YOU ROCK!!!

  • That was and still is tha freestyly Muzic

I used to play it in the nix. Awesome song, By the lovely Nocera!

    Luving it!

    Let's go!...

  • damn where did the good music and times go.. I love this and lets go back to summertime 80s!

  • Wow haven't hear this in so long, thank you for posting this video!!

  • She had A really really cute voice, N the music sounds, beat N Bass are great !!!

Piece of treasure from the 80´s...

  • She never went further than 2 records probably due to Madonna not giving any of the others the time or opportunity to fornicate their way to the top. Madonna was much more than a "ball hog"...

  • This chick has always been knocked for her "wafer thin" vocal. Where I'm from everyone was bumpin' this back in the day. This was the ultimate underground freestyle hit especially when remixed by lil louie vega. Summertime got more radio play but the hardcore fans know this was better. Everyone copied Madonna's look and Regina did sound exactly like her but Nocera's voice is clearly unique and could not be confused with Madonnas. I never saw this video anywhere prior to the internet either.

  • madonna was also knocked for her "wafer thin" vocal, looking at your profile, you were all of what? 9 years old when nocera was out? so you obviously dont remember the musical climate at or around 1985-1986, the dance music scene was innundated with madonna-sound alikes, nocera was 1 of many, i worked for sanfran record pool, and everyone thought this was a new madonna record, your comparing madonnas sound today, to noceras yesterday....

  • I guess I need to update my profile because I was around 15 when this came out. I never heard it on the radio until I was around 17. These 2 broads sound nothing alike bro. You're only convincing yourself. Other than that, in their prime Madonna was the better lay, the higher risk of STD, got more air play, and sold more records. Freestyle was only played in NY, FL, and CA...

  • this is an old school jam.....

  • madonna wanna-be, who never went furhter than 2 records

  • What have you accomplished that is so spectacular? Two records is better then no records at all. So much real talent out there that never gets discovered or pushed because superficiality, ignorance and hypocrisy.

  • so tell me goldie98, what was so spectacular about an artist (nocera) whos obviously copying madonna, not only musically, but image wise, and vocally as well?? noceras music had about as much depth as a rain puddle, and she aint no christina aguilera in the vocal dept, so what exactly is her talent?????? while i did enjoy her lightweight dance music, lets call it for what it is, shall we???

  • power106 (los angeles) played these jams when it debuted on air

  • C'mon lets go....back to the 80's!!!!!!!

  • lets me grab my spike braclets and red and white chuck taylor converses! and bring me a pocket knife and bandana for my pants @tejanodl

  • @tejanodl It takes me back to the late 80s. It took me so long to remember who Nocera was, but I liked the song from the radio, I think KMEL 106.1 FM in San Francisco and the other station 97.7 FM in San Jose. Thanks for posting this!

  • @amiausUSA

That's right KMEL back then was a power house. These kids have now have no idea how much fun we had! Can't go anywhere now without somebody getting too drunk, od ing, fighting or getting shot.

  • @usamud kmel in 80's and early mid 90's was the shit!!! they don't have radio programming like they used to. going on family trips to san mateo from sacramento was dope because right when you get into vallejo, we would turn on kmel...ksfm couldn't even come close.

  • @usamud 106 KMEL Wild 107.7(now (94.9) and Hot 97.9

  • @saverios321 Hot 97.7

  • I remember playing this cut on my nakamichi system in my minitruck back in 88'. I had the midbass bumping os loud that I backed out of a parking lot and hit a car! Love you Maria Nocera!

  • if your 32+ this is a classic...debbie deb era..

  • Every time in a car this song has to play one of my best songs to listen to

  • Believe it or not I was an extra in this video. I was front stage at the end, part of the crowd.

  • Hey this still play this stuff in the NYC bars and clubs. 80's music rocks.

  • man,the great memories here in so cal, this is what you call music(FREESTYLE LIVES)not the crappy hip hop music thats messing up these kids mind and corupting them these days

  • Dam Man! Thanks for posting!

  • mandolay!

  • My sister has an album with her dressed in white in a tight fitting outfit . i also loved her music, and just about all the great freestyle music from this time. still do. great era i wish would come back as strong as it was.

  • ha ha, you have made my day. the last time i listened to this song was in 1988

  • Got a lot of hinas to this rola

  • holy shit!

  • One of my favorites...Thanks for the memories!

  • I won't play hide and seek baby!Here I am!

  • RIP Chep Nunez.... Floyd Fisher and Lil Louis Vega aka The Latina Rascals....

  • hey nocera is pretty cute huh ....i never saw who sung this song..i always thought it was some fat latina beyach......but this chick is cute

  • She Was cute back then and you have to remember, this song came out in the mid 80's, so her appearance is totally different now.

  • it came out in the late 80s, 87 or 88 i think

  • Around the Summer of 1986.

And Legendofzoom, how could you not ever seen what she looked like, even after the time when Summertime came out, MTV was playing her other song "Let's Go" in 1988 and yes, Im old too, Ive seen every 80's Videos from Heavy Metal to Gangster Rap by watching MTV.

  • Because i only listened to gangsta rap like NWA,TOO SHORT public enemy and anything from KDAY a station in LA that people who listened to nocera were mostly cute chicks who i wanted to get wit around that time e.g expose, cover gals, sweet sensation, trinere, stacy q,debbie gibson. I bullshit you not i never saw a nocera video on mtv it was only the above i mentioned i only heard nocera thru underground dj mixtapes that were circulated amongst my friends

  • Ah ok, thats explains it and its all good then.

  • DUh......i know its from the 80's...i am from the 80s so i'm old and fat just like her.......what i was saying was during those times when i used to go to house parties or disco's , i would listen to her songs but i never saw how she looked liked during that time......now i know

  • i was referring to most of the up and comming young singers, most of the female singers on AI all sound as if the went to the mariah carey school of singing, even cristina aguilera uses the same infections that mariah does, its subtle in alot of the singers but if you have a good ear, you will hear it, kelly clarkson does it, jordan sparks does it, jessica simpson does it, leona lewis is to mariah, what regina was to madonna...its out of control and quite ittitating

  • after madonnas success, all the record labels wanted "the next madonna", everyone thought madonna would die out after a couple of albums, because of her light weight disco oriented material, reginas "baby love" was probably the closest to copying madonna out of all the wanna-bes, she even used madonnas producer, if i had to choose, nocera was second.

  • madonna was considered a "post disco" artist, she emerged out of the early 80s club scene, cyndi lauper was not trying to be another madonna, cyndi was more pop/rock oriented, pat benatar was an established rock artist by 1982. after madonnas huge cross over success, there was "regina", stacy Q, debbie gibson, alisha, nocera, sandee, shana, martika, all these artits had dance pop hits, all had similiar voices and productions, notice the 1 name monikers? coincidence??? i dont think so

  • when madonna was crossing over in the early to mid 80s every label wanted the next madonna, everyone from "regina" to "stacy Q", to "alisha", released lightweight dance pop songs hoping to capitaize on madonnas style and music, "regina" being the most successful with "baby love", she even used madonnas producer, "nocera" was one of many.. madonna also statred the 1 name moniker...madonna was a HUGE influence in the clubs and the pop music scene and still is...i used to work for capitol records.

  • well then your deaf, leona lewis being the most obvious, just listen to AI, every female vocalist on that show has a mariah inflection in their voice, when someone is successful in the music industry they are copied 100x over, madonna was in the 80s, mariah is toaday..its very obvious to people who know music

  • great song !.

  • I like this slightly more than "Summertime Summertime".

  • madonnas calling, she wants her voice back!!!

  • Kylie, Goldfrapp and Marilyn Monroe are also calling, they want all the original ideas that Madonna has ever copied back!!!!

  • but 1 thing madonna didnt copy was a VOICE, from the artists you mentioned....

  • U must be on crack to think that Nocera even sounds like Madonna. What Madonna song R U referring to??? Nocera has a very unique accent and U can hear it easily. At least Nocera doesn't need backup singers and pre-recorded vocals to reach that pitch.

  • u obviously are deaf, not to mention in diapers when nocera and madonna came out, let me enlighten you, in 1986 at madonnas peak in her popularity, their was in influx of madonna sound alikes, nocera being the most obvious, everyone though "summertime" was a new madonna song, its lightwight fluffy dance that madonna is known for, vocally they are very similiar. nocera was a wanna-be, every dance-pop singer tried to sound like madonna in the 80s, like everyone tries to sound like mariah today..

  • Thanks for the video! I've never seen it, although i had her records.

  • I concur! I didn't know this video existed either. I find out things 20 years later.
