God gave the rest of the world whatever He gave - technology, money, oil, you name it. And He gave Africa the drum and that's why you can things so deep musically - like Tp Ok jazz. who will ever match them or even come close? I don't see anybody on the horizon. Capitalise on this music before it becomes "extinct" - it is now on the "endangered" list remember!! I am serious. Thanks for doing that thing bro.
Deadly deadly...the guitar filler on this one at 0:30, 0:45, 1:01...reminds me of the filler at 1:07, 1:20, 2:28 on 'Youyou' posted by Kindu. Must have been the same guy (sic)! Wonderful songs; I have no regrets for having lived in this world at the present time.
Siddikh, which Kabongo are they singing about? Is it the one in the 1974 FIFA World Cup team or is it Eugene Ngoy Kabongo of the 1988 Africa Cup of Nations?

Just wonderful! I was only a 2nd grader in 1982, but TPOKJ used to make my day! The guitars and the vocals are just pure witchcraft!

From West Africa, I similarly find the vocals and guitars unique- to me the music is an anthem for the African soul eminating from the Equator.

@mayamba65 I have a feeling its Kabongo from 1974, his music changed a bit toward the end of his career, this is his rumba from the 70's
