Darren McGavin....i didn't know he was gone! Aw; man; when I was a teenager in high school; i used to watch for his tv show--"Kolchak; the Night Stalker."(1972)
sometimes these tributes can seem so beautiful and at others ;.just so increadiably, sad. it vasilates between joy and numbing. The gifts that they left to us and the pain at their departure. I hope they realized while in this life all the love that we had to give them.
RIP Darren Mcgavin, Pat Morita, Al Lewis, Richard Pryor, and Don Knotts. Sad. 5 of my favorite classic TV heroes gone. That was a bad year for celebrities.
Jack Warden...he stole the scene in everything he was in. All the Presidents Men, Twilight Zone, And Justice for All, Used Cars, 12 Angry Men, the list goes on and on. We lost a lot of great talent that year, they will all be missed, John Spencer, Richard Pryor, Don Knotts. Wow, sad to see them go.
SO many of these actors should have been in the Academy Awards memorium - Oscar winners Shelley Winters and Robert Wise on the Emmys?? Richard Pryor was certainly a film star as well. Weird. I'm glad they were at least included SOMEWHERE.
i'm sure they were included in the oscars memorium as well...sometimes they're included in more than one memorium because they've appeared on television as well
You know the truth is that Clarabell the clown was an actually a female clown played by a male actor, and 'GOODBYE KIDS' were the only words that the clown ever spoke.

Nah, I'm pretty sure Don Knotts did. But The West Wing was still on the air at the time and a lot of his costars really loved him.

It's such a shame that they didn't include Inspector Gadget for Don Adams' part.

i loathe the applause, only because they decide who they will or won't applaud for. they should just save it for the end.

Yep, it's the Death-Applause-O-Meter. Just cut the audio so the clips run with just musc.
