Eric V was waaaaaay better singing and lyrical wise. These lyrics are so cliché and contradicting from one verse to the chorus, and to the next verse. And whats with all these bands with being underwater and the singers always sticking their palms into the camera frame? Sorry this just blows. And to the rest of you, it is basically the SAME band with the SAME sound, just different name and 2 different members. Oh wow, big change.

I would have to say that this is neither worse nor better than Strata - that was a totally different animal. I will say that I have been anxious to hear this band BECAUSE of Strata, but understand (and look forward) to hearing how this band evolves with new "parts and wires". Personally, I enjoy both very much. But I do find that I've been diggin' on the "turn up the reverb and delay to 11"... I'd love to see Beta State tour with Dredg. I could totally see that happening...
