  • not sure what "flame" connotes, but it's a live recording, maybe off vid camera mic, didn't publish it for sound quality, published for the performance

  • don't flame me on this but sounds like a 4 track recording but is it just mr wainwright and the guitar, fantastic. love it

  • Mr. Connette,

I really can't figure out the tuning on this song! I'm obsessed with the song after seeing you play with Loudon at Duke U, and I really want to be able to play it but can't get it quite right... Could you give me a hand?

  • didnt he use to play in that band KISS ????

  • This is terrific stuff. I downloaded the whole HW&H album from Amazon the other day, and I'm really enjoying it. I didn't know Loudon knew how to play banjo! I'd love to hear him cover some other songsters of that era ...

Check out the video to 'The World' here on Youtube for some nice Banjo playing by Loudon.

  • The Wiki says the name of this song Is "He Rambled" ( if it's the same song. )

    148476 "He Rambled" Columbia 15407-D May 7, 1929

  • yeah, well ...

i dunno, it's true poole recorded song as "he rambled" but it was originally published by will handy as "didn't he ramble" and we didn't do the song just exactly how poole did it although we did it first and foremost because poole did it, and poole himself was never too punctilious fussy about what he called the songs he recorded (see "leavin' home," for example) so why should we be? we followed his lead.
