paul is so cool. when i hear his songs i slow down from my busy life and reflect, and take in the simple sights and sounds that we take for granted, and see and feel just how wonderful they are. thanks paul! you make me remember to take a deep breath now and then, and let go of everything for a little while, and I make it count. peace.
I've been a fan of Paul's for many years now. Some of Paul's songs can make you laugh your butt off. Then turn around and with a song like this, can leave you with tears in your eyes. He is one of (if not) the last of the real troubadours of our time.
i know u know who i am keep writing songs my daddy loved u and we we always we will love ur muisic we met in minneapolis u sing the truth and from the heart i love it and will always follow you sorry for the spelling
if you can listen to one of pauls album and not shed a tear and do some serious thinking about life there is something seriously wrong with you. the man touches my heart daily
I love this man...everything I have heard about him...I thank NPR for interviewing him..He has definitely filled some empty spots...his voice and songs are definitely an opiate...I immediately feel great when I hear him....Like he says..."Glory Be"
You can tell this man is doing what he loves, and we, his fans, love what he does.....I believe there should be a warning label on his songs...."Caution: Paul Thorn Music is highly Addictive"
Man, in my life I've lived behind the scenes in the country music business off and on for 30 years and you are as good as anyone I've ever seen. Just keep your heart grounded and your eye on the prize. Remember where you came from and the lady will pay you.
Paul is wonderful!! I rank him up there with Steve Goodman & John Prine. He has not sold his soul to the record lables, so you don't here his songs 30 times a day on the radio, but he is making a living out of touring. I plan to support him when he comes to Wisconsin.
I have to give Paul a nod. Thanks for share this song. It is one of those songs that as soon as three words are over you know it's good. I get chills everytime I hear this. Great songwriter/performer.
Just saw him perform this song in Atlanta and thought about my mom in Virginia!! She says pretty much the same things when I visit and we say our good bye's
..... And I watched it with tears in my eyes....What a SWEETIE.....GREAT SHOW AS ALWAYS!!!
Bonesraymond you're so right...I enjoy Paul so much more when he's acoustic without a band. He doesn't seem to do many of those concerts anymore. Thank goodnes for the 3 or 4 songs he does solo at each performance.
paul u are truly amazing! im glad to see fame hasnt changed u, im still trying to write that song u told me to write about my past marriage.... ive come up with some great lyrics but trust me they wouldnt be suitable to play in front of a crowd LOL
I saw Paul in Roanoke as well. Hearing him do this song, I was touched. ....a song from deep within that touches deeply. That concert was a very special gift.
beautiful.
