no, u dont need a bov, actually a bov makes u lose horsepower, what comes in the car keeps back pressure so the turbo spools faster, bovs get rid of all the air, thus taking longer 2 spool!

@sujak27 I just put an HKS bov on my sti, but that's only because the stock BPV runs at max 20psi, I'm around 24psi now so it was safer to get a BOV w/ recirculation hose.

I guess either it was wrong information that I read, or a type of bpv :/ either way I put it on cause I was paranoid not for the sound. The recirculated bov sounds just as loud as the bpv which is fine by me. My first mod I did was a catless TBE Invidia exhaust.. (3 inch up pipe down pipe etc..) then I got a GT spec header (unequal) and then a 44mm TiAl EWG to eliminate boost creep that I kept getting! list goes on.. :D

Ya i decided I will be buying the entire stage 2 package as well for my sti that comes with the AP and turboback exhaust system. im considering buying a short ram intake, uppipe, and manifold as well to go along witht he package all from cobb parts. then get a protune...gonna be sweet... i think i might work on suspension first because I dont intend to drag on staight lines. If you want it for track use, mod ur suspension greatly to go with ur stage 2.

If you get teh cobb stage 2 package make sure you get the uppipe. the stock one will hurt your engine if u dont.

that makes no sense. all you would get with a new uppipe is more throttle response and better spool. you really only would go with a new uppipe if you're switching to an externally wastegated system.
