2 different games Actually, you can compare FPS MMO shooter to WoW or any other crap. Yes warhammer 40k is much older story line than wow, infact it goes back to 80s i believe.

@brent691, khorne bezerkers are chaos space marines, they are traitors dumbass. They were once a legion but turned with Horus on the emperor! Therefore they never could have been a chapter for the simple fact that they never followed the codex astartes. But I think it is very clear in my post that I say Templar for space marines and KHORNE BEZERKERS FOR CHAOS?! (sorry for caps, had to push my point.)

Pretty sure if any morons say that Starcraft/Warcraft came out before Warhammer Fantasy and 40000, then they need to read this and understand that starcraft and warcraft Orcs and humans came out in the early 90s.. Warhammer and its sub sections has been out since the 80s... and the reason blizzard has those franchises is because they got turned down like bitches by games workshop on their ideas of making a warhammer game...

@TheEffinVilln i know u posted this 2 months ago, but they didnt get turned down.. actually they were working on it.. and games workshop .. like they do with most companies they hire.. decided to pull the plug.. blizzard had all this work done and all the models done..so they just released... (Im actually a 3D art major... and one of our classes was video game and movie history and we studied it)

But you are correct... Warhammer came first.. but then again... Tolkein pretty much started it all

i think what its like, to at least explain the space marines being grey, is that they are trying to make then a little colorless to show that you aren't all from one chapter you're from any chapter you choose to leave it open for RP and then khorne berserkers to be a stereotypical chaos marine.

@TheSpelunk This makes absolutely no sense. If you see any grey Space Marines it's the lighting or crappy video quality, because those are motherfucking BLACK TEMPLARS, a very distinct chapter. It would piss all over the fluff for there to be random Marines from different chapters on one world. With small exceptions like the deployment of individual Marines to deal with small problems on isolated worlds, because the galaxy's a huge fucking place, Marines deploy with their chapters.

I was hoping for a more gritty/dark looking game, more so than the WoWish world they have going, but the game looks good for being 2 years out. I generally think MMOs are a dead horse these days and if this game fails I stop playing games.

However, the trailer looks solid enough to promote a good game and I'm feeling positive after watching it. Look forward to more info as the next years roll on.

@king40k Ok first off, as much as I'd like to see a quality MMO compete with WoW, it isn't going to happen. WoW has a 11.5 million subscriber base, it is too popular, the only thing that will kill WoW is WoW. 40K and WoW don't have many similarities, WoW takes place in a fantasy world with swords,and magic, with the occasional helicopter thrown in. (God knows where that came from), and 40K has Space Marines blasting everything, they're too different to steal community from eachother.
