Was habt ihr gegen Automatik? Kurz zur Info: Das Ding nennt sich bei Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe und nur echte Rennprofis schalten minimal schneller als das Teil. Also, als Laie ist man mit so einem PDK-Getriebe echt besser beraten. Außerdem kann mans gemütlich zugehen lassen (Stau, Stadtverkehr) - und wenn man will gibts entweder den Kickdown oder die manuellen Schaltwippen. Einzig und allein kuppeln kann man nicht mehr. Da geht das driften nicht mehr so gut. Aber sonst -> Cooles Feature

the main situation is that in Germany there is Autobahn where there are no limits speed, but if you try to go over the limits in a normal street, police takes your balls and rips them.
Germans are also very good drivers: I live in Italy and Italian driver, when they have overdriven a car, they rest in overdrive lane without any reasons...Instead German drivers always return in the normal lane.

@mystiqueman366 the reason they can go that fast is because they're not crazy. a license in Germany is ~$1500 USD and driving is taken quite seriously, as it would have to be at these speeds. unlike in the US where drivers hog the fast lane, or pass on the right, on the Autobahn almost all drivers are courteous, follow the laws and are overall much safer drivers because their level of concentration is much higher. you can't drink a laté and text @ 300km/h.

depends on what state....when I got my license 10 years ago in texas, I paid 20$ to the DMV office, took a 10 question test, and got my license in a day....took about 45 minutes....but now you have to be 18 and take 40 hours driving with someone 21 years of age or older for practice.....but again, state to state varies....
japan, in my opinion, is the most expensive for license....over $3,000 american dollars ! ! ! and takes over a month ! CRAZY !
@rushforce33 i spend over 2000$ (1600€) on my license and it took me over a half year of theory and 30h practice with my driving teacher and after two examinations (theory and practice) i got my license. but just for 2 year provisory. and one month bevor the end of my qualifying period i made a mistake at the autobahn (driving 21km/h to fast) and i had to go to a seminar and got another 2years of qualifying period. if i make 2 more mistakes i lose my license^^ but thats normal in germany ;)
In Germany it takes about 6 MONTHS and almost as much cash as in Japan. And we have to have the driving practice hours with a driving instructor, not just with someone who happens to have a license...Getting a license is hard work and lots of practice, but therefore you know how to handle a car going 300 KMh in everyday traffic with others on the road. Yet there are still morons that can´t drive well, even overhere....

Not here in Wyoming. Well, technically it's 75mph, or 120kmh, but the troopers won't pull you over until you're doing 90 (140kmh). I believe Texas just raised their speed limit to 90.

Was habt ihr gegen Automatik? Kurz zur Info: Das Ding nennt sich bei Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe und nur echte Rennprofis schalten minimal schneller als das Teil. Also, als Laie ist man mit so einem PDK-Getriebe echt besser beraten. Außerdem kann mans gemütlich zugehen lassen (Stau, Stadtverkehr) - und wenn man will gibts entweder den Kickdown oder die manuellen Schaltwippen. Einzig und allein kuppeln kann man nicht mehr. Da geht das driften nicht mehr so gut. Aber sonst -> Cooles Feature

the main situation is that in Germany there is Autobahn where there are no limits speed, but if you try to go over the limits in a normal street, police takes your balls and rips them.
Germans are also very good drivers: I live in Italy and Italian driver, when they have overdriven a car, they rest in overdrive lane without any reasons...Instead German drivers always return in the normal lane.

@mystiqueman366 the reason they can go that fast is because they're not crazy. a license in Germany is ~$1500 USD and driving is taken quite seriously, as it would have to be at these speeds. unlike in the US where drivers hog the fast lane, or pass on the right, on the Autobahn almost all drivers are courteous, follow the laws and are overall much safer drivers because their level of concentration is much higher. you can't drink a laté and text @ 300km/h.

depends on what state....when I got my license 10 years ago in texas, I paid 20$ to the DMV office, took a 10 question test, and got my license in a day....took about 45 minutes....but now you have to be 18 and take 40 hours driving with someone 21 years of age or older for practice.....but again, state to state varies....
japan, in my opinion, is the most expensive for license....over $3,000 american dollars ! ! ! and takes over a month ! CRAZY !

@rushforce33 i spend over 2000$ (1600€) on my license and it took me over a half year of theory and 30h practice with my driving teacher and after two examinations (theory and practice) i got my license. but just for 2 year provisory. and one month bevor the end of my qualifying period i made a mistake at the autobahn (driving 21km/h to fast) and i had to go to a seminar and got another 2years of qualifying period. if i make 2 more mistakes i lose my license^^ but thats normal in germany ;)

In Germany it takes about 6 MONTHS and almost as much cash as in Japan. And we have to have the driving practice hours with a driving instructor, not just with someone who happens to have a license...Getting a license is hard work and lots of practice, but therefore you know how to handle a car going 300 KMh in everyday traffic with others on the road. Yet there are still morons that can´t drive well, even overhere....

Not here in Wyoming. Well, technically it's 75mph, or 120kmh, but the troopers won't pull you over until you're doing 90 (140kmh). I believe Texas just raised their speed limit to 90.
