All everybody talks about is greg and kenny, Donald Trump is on the drums and doing a dam good job. After this song was over he told everybody on stage they were fired!
Kenny Wayne Shep.......heard.......it somewhere before, but better?? Anyways, Greg Koch is unbelievable!! Shows up KWS as the guitar store SRV copyist he is!! Jesse Davis from The Hoax is 150 times better at the SRV stuff!! Never understood the KWS thing?? Greg Koch is awesome!!
Oh, by the way, the fellow singing is Malford Milligan who was with the band Storyville for many years. You should check out their music if you never heard it.
Poor Kenny is right! When you step on stage with Greg Koch, you had better bring your A-game. I've seen Greg play many times and he is a very nice fellow off stage too. I swear he could be a comedian in another life. Asked his son once if his dad acted the same way at home and Dylan replied, "Yep, my dad is exactly the same there as he is on stage." In the words of Joe Bonamassa introducing Greg, "one of the finest guitar players I know!" I'd say that's pretty High Praise. :)
I have a mexican strat and other than the pickups it's just as good as an american (and I wouldn't keep the american pickups either though, gotta have Dimarzios). The Squire vintage vibe (like that bass) are surprisingly amazing considering their price (and brand name). The teles are pine (like the first Teles).
Poor Kenny had no idea what he was in for taking the stage with this Beast. The kid just got a lesson in originality and humility. He looks so awkward. Greg is truly one of the finest ever to wield a Fender product.
tasty ass jams man greg is amazing and mallford milligan is a amazing singer reggie hamilton and donald trump on the drums held down a great groove and kws is good quit raggin on him his tone is good and good note selection as well
@dierksmanly His tone may be okay. . . But we already have Stevie Ray. Kenny sounds like a watered down tasteless Stevie. So, instead of listening to Kenny Wayne, I'll just stick to Stevie and pretend Kenny just never happened
i keep hopeing that one day kenny wayne will have a musical thought that is his own and not just anouther ripped off srv lick and on anouther note compared to gregs tone kennys sound muffled where as gregs cuts through nicely and is clear and open sounding
well, the singer could have invested the time to either pin some decent lyrics on his own or sing sth that might have fit. this 'don't you know' wears out pretty quick
All the SRV wanna be clones watch Greg Koch--playing his swinging, funky, groovy, badass, insane solos. That will make you want to quit or learn a hell of a lot more.
I loved SRV, he was probably the greatest blues player ever. Yes, I'm a wanna be as far a wanting to be a better player. He did inspire a lot of players, but there will never be another SRV. I just think there are too many that TRY to copy him exactly. I'm 64, been playing since 11, since 15 in bar bands in joints to jazz bands, done several 1000 gigs. But I don't claim to be a expert. I do have some insight. Still it's all a matter of opinion. I have a life, thanks. Regards,
Good God!! Greg Koch is freakin' amazing on guitar I would have to say I like Greg's solo better than Kenny's. Not saying he's better or anything. They are both great guitarist!
Reggie WHO?........oh the bass player?...the somewhat quiet guy keepin a steady beat?....all right ..if you say so..but how about a little recognization of Blind Malford Milligan , all TEXAS heart and soul and alot more up front than the bass player for sure
just goes to show that its not always the guitar....this mexican sounds great....its all in the fingers for the most part. Great job at the mexico factory, keep it up, lets see the americans work for their money!
and unfortunately kenny only has no dynamic range........its all or nothing. he just plays notes and puts no feel into it. I could blow his ass out of the water anyday on stage...granted i cant find a band out here so i should shut up.
You should have heard their version of "Stuck in Folsom Prison." It was a wacky Greg Koch feast! The whole hour was ridiculous. Hopefully Fender will post the whole thing soon.

the thing is, its not just the notes he plays, its the tube screamer tone and the KWS he uses on the strap, very similar to SRV.
