Why would the referee let play on until somebody else touched the ball - that's not the rule. I don't know what happened here- but it looked to me that the defender kicked the ball into his own net in frustration after (wrongly) thinking the referee had blown the whistle and his keeper was going to be sent off.

@read41 No, You are the idiot. The player thought he had heard the referee blow his whistle for the free kick when in fact he had not. The referee for some bizarre reason thought the keeper was in his box when he saved it and didn't call a foul. But the player presumed the ref had given the free kick and smashed it into the net in frustration. So if the player had cleared it their would have been no foul, just play on.

I'm a fan of the team Kere plays for.

The real fact is that this match was very important because both teams were next for the relegation in second championship.

So, Kere loss the ball and the keeper take it when he wasn't in the rectangle surface so Kere thought that the keeper will have a red card and shot the ball on the goal.

To be particuliary precise, it was I think about 80 minytes playing and the score was 1-2 for Geel or 1-1.

Charleroi had stay in first division though.
