  • IRA

  • @MrSkycity007 hows about the SAS then ?

  • @MrSkycity007 considering you said that randomly like that

  • The only problem is that I cannot handle with British English.

  • u left out a good landmark for northern ireland

  • 'Northern Ireland' is not a nation.

It is six Irish counties occupied by Britains evil war machine.

  • errrmmm YES IT IS

  • It is the north eastern part of the Irish nation.

  • @1Fianna Entirely subjective, I could say "The Republic of Ireland isn't a country, it's just pretending to be not part of the UK"... Wouldn't make it right, certainly righteous though.

  • @FrankThePidgeon there never was a uk, it was created by force

  • @1Fianna No it wasn't- The English monarchy died out, so the Scottish were invited to take over, and Ireland was already under English rule, over the course of 200 years laws were changed to create the UK. Maybe there should be 4 different countries within the EU, as that's democratic, and therefore perfect? Yay for Europe!

  • @FrankThePidgeon The uk was formed against the irish peoples say just like great britain was formed wihtout the scottish peoples say.

  • @1Fianna Scotland was formed without the Scottish people's say. It means absolutely nothing. If the UK broke up, it'd make England the richest per capita of the 4 countries, and it'd still remain as a trillionaire nation... But it's mainly English politicians who ask for the removal of the UK from the EU, and for the UK to stay as it is. Which is odd, as it's worse for England if it weren't in the EU and part of the UK. YAY for illogical politics!

  • @FrankThePidgeon Nah be better if the UK was out of Europe.

  • @TheIceman567 Not really, the UK has a population of 62 million or so, and the EU has a population of 500 million- For a party to have power it needs money, people and a large size. The UK has none of those things, but it does within the EU. It's mutually beneficial to EU members to have a single economy, as businesses can more easily expand. The Chinese and the Indians and the Russians want to know what "America and Europe" think, since British Imperial decline, it's become easy to forget us!

  • @FrankThePidgeon But you're paying $45,000,000.00 a day the UKIP is right.

  • @TheIceman567 It's not just the UK that pays into the EU... Besides, the UK budget is about 6 times greater than the EU budget. The EU funds the CAP for farms; I can guarantee that you eat more in your lifetime than you use NHS facilities which cost the UK taxpayer a lot more.

Without spending that money the UK would have to pay to trade with EU nations, and would need to establish its own agricultural system and would lose use of EU diplomats. You'd get less-per-pound without the EU!

  • @FrankThePidgeon I know Britain is not the only to pay. Shit Trade son look around Britain is making trade deals in other parts of the world. US, Brazil, India all big players. Plus Britain's trade in the EU doesn't mean shit.

  • @TheIceman567 "Trade in the EU doesn't mean shit," eh? EU trade counts for 57% of UK exports and 55% of imports... It means masses. The US is second highest, and counts for 15% of exports... The UK-India trade in '08-09 fiscal year was $11bn, the fish and chip and industry and the British monarchy bring in $14bn a year EACH...

Trade deals from the EU to India, China, US, Brazil, Russia and such creates a higher chance of money flowing through the British economy; the EU is big; ergo important.

  • @FrankThePidgeon Well EU is hurting now. Money bailout IMF like in Ireland and soon with out a doubt Spain and Portugal. EU my arse is good for the UK. The torries don't even like it.

  • @TheIceman567 It's a refusal to embrace the EU that's the problem - In the US California is in constant debt, but the overall US economy doesn't remain in perpetual recession, so there's no reason for the EU economy to die - Further federalism is all that's needed.

The Tories are conservative... They ideologically disagree with it on the grounds that the UK should remain as it is. Pragmatism is a centre-left belief in reality, so parties with that affiliation; Lib Dems and Labour, are pro-EU!

  • @FrankThePidgeon Oh yeah no duh Labour put them in 1972. Still Believe the EU is bad i stand with UKIP.

  • @TheIceman567 No, Labour put the UK into the EEC. The EU was formed in 1993 by the Maastricht Treaty. Which was signed by Conservative Prime Minister John Major! UKIP are militarist libertarians really; they support Imperial politics that worked in the 1900s, but not now! I can't complain about your political beliefs though, it's not democratic.

  • @FrankThePidgeon Our believes are the same as the UK people just wanting to get rich if you can't see that then you have blinders on son.

  • @TheIceman567 Indeed, having more money is good. Hence Western countries like in Europe and North America are good to live in compared to say Zimbabwe.(Y)

  • @FrankThePidgeon Yeah but look who runs Zimbabwe tho.

  • @TheIceman567 Yes, and since its 1980 independence from the UK it has become far harder to live in! Democracy, but primarily stability, help in the 21st Century.

  • @FrankThePidgeon Well that's just like Hong Kong poverty has gone up 45% since the British left.

  • @TheIceman567 I don't get why in 1897 the UK decided to say they'd give Hong Kong to the Chinese ever; Britain was vastly more powerful than China, so it was silly in my opinion! Similarly, the US shouldn't have given Cuba independence!

  • @FrankThePidgeon Well what happen was Britain was to only give back the New Territories in 1997 but what happened was on December 19, 1984 Britain and China came to a deal to give the hole Colony back. Which was done on July 1, 1997.

  • @TheIceman567 How depressing in a patriotic way! Imagine how different things would be if the US, UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Russia, Japan etc all had Empires in the 21st Century. I wonder what the situation in the third world would be... Hmm.

  • Great video, I am proud of every single country within our union. From our glorious history to our rich cultures. RULE BRITANNIA!

  • THAAAANKS A LOT!!

    greetings from edinburgh!

  • wow

London is a amazing & wonderful city

    i want to learn bagpipe

    greetings from Chile

  • The UK will live longer than the insidious cancer that is the EU :)

  • Quentin0000000000- theres more I want to write but theres limited spaces obviously.

  • Quentin0000000000- should have to endorse that against. Unionists also tend to be descended from the plantation settlers who were not ethnic Irish anyway. Im not talking about the rights and wrongs of that time, just that that is the factual situation now. If we look at the Israeli-Palestinian model there are some similarities. It has often been proposed a two state solution is the answer. On the island of Ireland there is peace now so why create a united Ireland that is counterproductive.

  • Euriel1 is right, the EU is nothing without the United Kingdom.

  • yes it is

  • lol your a big part but not the biggest Germany has massive exports

  • TomBarry1921- the 1690s to 2008. It was a different time and mentality, but it was also not as black and white as nationalists say. Yes, the British were guilty of undemocratic colonisation but that doesn't justify the attempted genocide of protestant plantation settlers. In 2008, democracy is more important than sovereignty.

  • But u say its a past injustice, its a present injustice holding our country back in 2008. Unionists over here dont accept majority verdicts, they hold supremacist views that their choice is better than the rest. They didnt accept majority in Ireland, they dont accept majority in ulster, they say they accept majority in the 6 counties but if majority vote for united ireland they wont accept it and will want the border moved again to suit.

  • TomBarry1921- I don't want to be a mouthpiece for some of the unionist groups there and youre right about some of them having supremacist views, but its also true that when polls have been taken, nationalist groups have boycotted them. So if results came back that a majority in the six counties wanted to remain part of the UK then they have themselves to blame for not taking part. If they are so determined to have a united Ireland, why boycott polls asking what people want?

  • They usually boycott census forms. When internment without trial was introduce mainly nationalists were jailed. The census was considered spying on what religion/political views people had so all they had to do was read a list and pick people to throw in jail. Its not boycotted as much now

  • catch a grip!! when you ditch your anti protestant republican ideals then and only then will we ever care for what you think

  • If im anti-protestant why did i used to go out with a protestant and why have i a video uploaded to celebrate protestant Irish republicans. I have a few protestant Irish republican friends on here too.

    End your bigotry

  • And ive seen a black man freinds with a BNP member but it doesnt make them any more favourable in anyones eyes. So dont play the tolerance card with us.

  • @Hamdaman101 i saw a black man once, it was a wednesday!

  • are you saying we were happy under he united kingdom

  • Quentin0000000000- I presume your question was for me. No I did not say the Irish were happy under the UK, I said boycotting polls is counterproductive. But one point I would add; The problem with the concept of a United Ireland is it entails that there is one culture on the island. There has been two distinct cultures for centuries.

  • if you mean the culture of prodestant and catholic kind of thing. theres no problem in Germany or any other contrary split on the religion.

personally i dont no why you want NI how would you like if we took the Catholic parts of England

  • Quentin00000000000000- No, not necesarilly protestant-catholic more unionist-nationalist, if you go to North Antrim you will see what I mean. The culture there is simply not celtic Irish, its unionist Northern Irish. And when I say difference im just making a factual observation and not suggesting there should be a hostile difference. Personally ive no problem with celtic culture- actually I find it romantic and fascinating- but I don't think people who have grown up in a unionist culture cont..

  • here here

couldnt have said it better myself

we dont want republican ireland ruling us!!

  • northirishstud- Thankyou; much appreciated

  • BritishEuropean- nice video; thanks for making it. But the image on 58 seconds is Birmingham, Alabama I believe, not Birmingham, UK

  • Hehe, completely true. It seems I made the same mistake as Birmingham City Council made recently. They used a picture of Birmingham, Alabama on leaflets about recycling. :)

Glad you liked the video anyway.

  • you're welcome

  • 'Northern Ireland' is not a country. Its a statelet based on a religious headcount.

  • TomBarry1921- you mean the democratic majority

  • 'Northern Ireland' is not a democratic majority, the border was forced on Ireland by a threat of 'immediate and terrible war' by the British government.

If europe threatened war on Ireland if it voted no to the Lisbon treaty would u say this was democracy?

  • TomBarry1921- NI is currently part of the UK. You can argue perpetually about past injustices, some of which I would agree with, but NI is part of the UK. If the six counties were to go back, it would have to be based on a majority decision by voters in NI. As it stands many people in NI appear to identify themselves as British citezins and as such they should not be forced to join the Irish Republic. In answer to your second question I would say no, but you are trying to compare cont...

  • nice video m8 even thow we may not agree on politics i can say this is a good video

  • Greetings for the British people!

Very nice video and beautiful pictures!

The UK is a "little EU", diverse and united at the same time... so the UK is Europe, and Europe is nothing without the UK.

    God save your queen! :-)

  • Euriel1- thanks for your kind and perseptive comments. I think its possible and healthy for Europeans to respect and be patriotic towards their own country's but also internationalist and open in their outlook. Viva Budapest!

  • good that you showed a modern image of britain and not the sterio stype people like america has of us.

    god save the queen

  • exceptional video... the scottish section was heavily ednburgh based but otherwise genius.
