  • I unfortunately just saw it today, tis why I did not watch your video until today. Good look out on the spoilers. ;) HOWEVER, I loved it so much. I didn't think I was going to cry because I thought I got it all out reading the book, but when Dobby died I just bawled! I did not like the way the killing of the locket was depicted it was really awkward. I loved the twins of course though. It was just so thrilling and great! :)

  • @supersharayah Gah, I know. I thought I got my crying out in the book, too...but NOT SO. It was exactly like reading those parts AGAIN.

  • Oh my gosh the scene that Hermione erases her parents' memories. Wow. I'm glad they included that. So emotional

  • @kaylasturner Oh my goodness, yes. Totally and completely. I knew it was coming because I'd seen an Emma Watson video about a month ago where she was talking about it, but it was STILL so heart wrenching. I knew I was in trouble when I'd already cried in the first 5 minutes of the film. AH!

  • Yay! I just saw the movie so I can finally watch your vid! I definitely teared up through the whole thing (I'm a big marshmallow). I really think it was the best one so far, simply because they could take their time and not worry about cramming the whole book into one movie.

  • @evmoneyTV I totally agree--splitting the book into two films was probably the best decision they've ever made. <3

  • It made me uncomfortable when Harry and Hermione came out of the locket and were all...naked. I found that really unnecessary. That was the only remotely bad part about the movie. IT WAS AWESOME. Especially Neville, and that scene with George, Ginny and Harry.

  • @XmcmuffinsX Hahahaha--HECK YES! When George was all, "Mooorrrning." and did his little wink I was just like YES. That is SO Weasley Twin. I felt like this film was a better translation of how the characters really are in the books...except for the ultra awkward Harry/Ginny relationship. Just about everything else was SPOT ON.

  • I loved Dobby's line to Bellatrix though "I never meant to kill merely maim or seriously injure" its so sad that he died and i didn't like the ending but knowing there is a second part coming up makes up for it

  • @bukwurm16 I loved that line, too. DOBBY! <3

  • It was cool. And pretty. And touching. And I liked it!

Should get tickets for July now

  • @aaachannel If they started selling tickets for July now, you KNOW I'd be buying one.

  • There was like 2 things that felt weird to me but they weren't a big enough deal that I cared too much. But seriously...why aren't they using the invisibility cloak? lol

  • @carmenriots TRUE THAT. Especially since...ya know...it's like...ONE OF THE FREAKING DEATHLY HALLOWS so you'd think the film people would WANT to be using it as frequently as they're supposed to. TISK.

  • @ianswertobob Exactly! Maybe they'll show it more in part two when they go into more detail. *crosses fingers*

  • I didn't get to go :(

  • @PHvlogger I was bummed for you when you tweeted about not going a few hours before the midnight showing. Go soon! I hope you love it.

  • I agree with everything you said in this video! I plan on seeing it a few more times. :)

  • @thexoxomanda ME TOO, MAN! :D

  • I agree with the opinions expressed in this video.

  • @emmfan09 YAY! I'm glad you liked it and allowed it to toy with your emotions, too. ;)

  • at the very start when Hermione had to wipe her parents' memory was so touching, i felt like it was really well done and just set you up for the tone of the movie.

it was such an emotional roller coaster!!! i really enjoyed the parts they through in there for comedic relief and the way they showed the evolution of ron and hermione's relationship. oh my god i just can't get over this movie! it was so well done and i think is my favorite out of all the movies thus far!

  • @xxxxdanielleeee TRUE TRUE TRUE. I echo these remarks. 100%.

  • where did you get that tie? it's not the official WB tie? #RavenclawPride

  • @TheDanc1nghawk I gotted the tie at D.I. (The Utah and Idaho version of Good Will.) SECOND HAND STORES FTW! I always find pieces of costumes there. Haha

  • THE HORCRUX WAS SO FREAKING SCARY. It was not at all how I imagined it, but I still thought it was great.

I do wish they'd left in all of Kreacher's story, but it worked fine without it.

  • @whitefluffyhat YEAH! That horcrux was sooo well done.

I agree, I would've liked more detail there--while I don't have any MAJOR complaints about the film, they definitely could've done a little more with that. And plenty of other things. WHY CAN'T EVERY HP MOVIE JUST BE 10 HOURS LONG?!

  • @ianswertobob I KNOW! God knows our fandom would still go out and watch them at midnight and analyze them no matter how long they were xD

  • I have many complaints about the movie. Video response maybe???

  • @thewalruswasdave do it!

  • @thewalruswasdave Ooooh. YES PLEASE. (I do have SOME complaints--they're just minor ones...they're not big enough to really truly bug me/I still liked the film as a whole.)

  • Yeah it was pretty good. Or something.. I wish I was in your theatre wiping your tears instead of in my theatre getting stabbed in the eye by accident from my friend! #CreepyIsFun

  • @ckXcore If you were in the theater with me I'd be torn between staring at you and staring at the screen throughout the entire film! #CreepyIsFun

  • I loved it, let me get that out right away. But I had a problem with Voldemort and the lack of fear he placed on his death eaters. Malfoy Manor was too relaxed and jokey for me. Voldemort doesn't have friends or crack jokes. I wanted a more terrifying Voldemort.

  • @AlleyWater Oooh. That's a good point. I'm loving all the things people are bringing up in the comments. I do however think that scene made Voldemort plenty terrifying for the audience, if not for the Death Eaters; with the professor levitated above the table through the whole thing? SO unsettling and disturbing. That whole scene made my SKIN CRAWL.

  • Man. I think I'm the only one who didn't like it.

  • @chelseariffic Aw. :/ What did you not like about it? Do you just hate it too much when things aren't exactly as they are in the book?

  • @ianswertobob Obviously it couldn't be exactly as the book, but I felt like nothing was as it was in the book. There were just so many things that I was excited about seeing on screen that weren't in the movie. In case you do actually want to know specifically, I made a video about it. Basically, it's my favorite book ever and I just don't think the movie did justice to the story and most of all the characters.

  • omg...ravenclaw!!

it is my goal to show my ravenclaw pride in every video about harry potter i watch.

  • Did anyone else wonder where they got the shovel when they buried Dobby? lol..must be just me..good film though..loved it

  • I loved the movie so much! :D I missed Lupin's storyline a little though. And I also feel that Ron didn't freak out as much when Hermione got tortured. He's supposed to be screaming and almost going insane!

But aww, the movie as a whole was AMAZING! How I cried when Dobby died. And the destruction of the locket was freaking perfect. And the dance between Harry and Hermione was adorable. And Neville was in it for about 5 seconds but showed why he's a total BAMF.

  • @TheOrangeDream One of my favorite scenes in the book was the Malfoy Manor chapter when Ron is basically running around the cellar in the dark screaming his head off... in the book it showed how the three of them really needed each other to function AND how much Hermione really meant to Ron. I still loved the way the did the scene, but I feel like a little more madness on Ron's part would have been apropos. Bellatrix carving "mudblood" onto hermione's arm REALLY got to me...

  • @TheOrangeDream YES about Lupin. YES about Ron not freaking out enough in that scene. I completely agree. Though I don't have any MAJOR complaints that make me not like the movie, those are both things that could have been done better. I wonder if they might bring in some of the Lupin storyline in with Part 2? I think they might communicate it in some way, though it obviously wouldn't be at Grimmauld Place as it is in the book.

YES on the parts you said you liked. YES! SO GOOD.

  • Excellent, Kiera!

With the Bagshot stuff, I REMEMBERED what was coming, but I still jumped. And I jumped a little more during the movie.

And the animation during the Deathly Hallows story was quite cool!

    - Jason

  • @crimsong19 Gah, I KNOW! She was so creepy even before she was revealed as Nagini. I thought I was going to spontaneously combust.

  • fantastic review! i agree completely... that movie was amazing!! i just saw it a few days ago, and already i cant wait to see it again! :)

you look great in the hogwarts uniform too! :)
