  • For the basic truck you will need a 3 channel radio unless you do not want tu use the gear selection of the trans then a 2 chennel will work.

  • What kind of transmitter do you need for that?

  • runions79, where did you bought your upgrade suspension. I just bought the truck the stock suspension is so stiff. Can you also tell me what other cool upgrade you got and where did you got it. Thanks

  • @Harvz78 I built the 4 links my self and modified everything else. This is what the truck use to look like I just resently rebuilt the truck from the ground up but have not video taped it yet. the 4 link you will have to come up with your self. If you want to stay with the leaf springs go to RC4WD.COM and purchase their red leaf springs and revolver shackles. You will get tuns of flex after that. Also they offer several frames and many options for your truck.

  • @Harvz78 The tamiya is a nice truck but if you want it to be closer to a real scaler (like the 80s highlux) you are only gona use a few parts from your kit and just about buy a hole other truck and unforntualy have a nicer scaler and spend less than the tamiya kit you just bought. But you can modify the crap out of your truck it just takes a litle thinking and some parts. Check out RC4WD.COM and you will see all that you can do and buy. Check out other vids of your truck for ideas.

  • @Harvz78 One of my other videos of my hummer project shows what you can do with a hilux/highlift kit by just making the equipment your self. i will be posting a video soon of my rebuilt f350 soon. I built a hole new frame for it and changed thing around. If i can answer any other questions just ask. I know i pluged rc4wd a lot but they are good people and have good products.

  • is that just geared really low or is the battery bout dead

  • yes it is geared that low. a 55 turn motor with a 4:1 reduction box, and it is in 1 gear

  • what tires r those?

  • how much is one of those trucks? stock

  • 350 but you will need a speed controler and radio also

  • the list price is over $700.... but it depends on where u get it. hobby etc down the street from me sells them for 370

  • Tower hobbies sells for 350 but you still need a speed controler witch is a min. of 100 for a 4 channel.

  • do you really need a 4 channel for it?

  • Real nice! =)

  • Your shock setup is so realistic. Where did you get these shocks and springs?

  • the springs are hpi metal threaded 3 in. in front and 4 in. in the rear

  • I can't find them, witch model is it originaly on? I need this setup springs/shocks on my Jeep JK

    Thanks!

  • im not shure they were at the hobby shop. i was thinking they might be duramax replacements you can get internal spring shocks from rc4wd that look better

  • That is indeed some nice action, nice to see you kept the 1.9 wheels and thus the realism ;-)

    Next up, a paintjob?

  • your tires r on backwards

  • it gives you better grip

  • Nice !! too bad of the bad quality video :(

  • nice job youve put a lot of time and work into that sweet truck and vid
