I do not know what you been taught, But you read about the rapture in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. I feel you have made a gross error because you do not understand what the tribulation is for. If you go to the Old Testament book of Daniel you see that God said he will deal with Israel for 70 weeks of years. 7 and 62 of them where dealt with prior to the coming of the King. The last week will be dealt with prior to the 2nd coming of the king. The Tribulation is God dealing with Israel not the church.
