If you walk into my room in Torquay (which I moved out of 3 years ago) you would think I still lived there. Everytime I go home I try and sort out some more things or get rid of more things or get things to take to Bristol but really i'm totally hopeless. I am secretly scared in 10 years time I'm going to end up on an episode of 'Hoarders'
I'm terrible at throwing things away. I still have my cinema ticket stubs for all of the Harry Potter films, bearing in mind I was 10 when the first come came out. In fact I've kept most of the stubs for all the films I've ever seen. You wouldn't believe how cheap the cinema was back then!
um, what world do you live in? Micro SD to SD is still useful. a fair amount of computers (laptops) have SD card readers built in but no micro sd card reader. yes there are usb versions of this but maybe you only have a few usb ports and you want to keep the freed up thus the card reader is open <3
I have a box in which I kept all of the crap I didn't want to throw away because it ment something to me. Most of the stuff has ended up on my wall but inside It still are all the cards I got when I graduated high school six years ago, letters and cards that were sent to me when I was a camp counselor four years ago, a playbill from the musical I was in my senior year and the crossage my prom date gave me.
I just had this conversation with a friend. I have a lot of stuff. I think I'm afraid of forgetting the memories behind them if I throw out the physical item. However, seeing that I moved across the country I've found that I've consolidated a lot of my belongings. I'm almost happy with the amount of things I have.
I like to keep some stuff too for nostalgic reasons like much of the SITC stuff i got, even business cares lol. But when i moved house i got rid of much junk. Its not always easy but sometimes you have to let it go
I'm not sure a National Insurance numbercard can be classed as "crap". If I didnt have mine I wouldn't know what my number was, but I guess if you can be bothered to memorise it then you don't need the card :P
I have at least four notebooks and hundreds of note cards with recipes from culinary school, but I suppose it's not too bad as I only just graduated*mumbles*last year.
I've also got movie ticket stubbs dating back to 2001 that I've been holding on to for some reason or other and ever pair of 3D glasses I've ever worn. Going to the movies seems to strike some sort of nostalgic cue with me.
I used to collect useless stuff, but I'm getting out of it now, this year at Uni I have thrown 3 bin bag full of unused stuff away, but I still have a wardrobe full.
I have now got into the habit of keeping EVERY SINGLE CORK I REMOVE FROM WINE BOTTLE AT WORK. Mmmm. Oh yeah, and every empty film canister. And spools. And the box in case I need to refer to the development times.
I keep pretty much everything. I was going through my room this past summer and I found a notebook from my first year of high school... I'm a third year at college now
Gahh you hoarder! I've got some stuff from back in the day for nostalgia. You need to round it up and if you ever say "i forgot i had this" then you won't miss it when it's gone! :P
@CheekTV wise words my friend; my problem is that I have too good a memory, I pick anything up and I'm like "ooh, I remember that" :P I DO need a purge though!
is that twilight on your bookcase?

It would bring me SO MUCH JOY to clear out things like that! I am the opposite of a cleptomaniac - if you don't use it, lose it!

Ahhh, I always hate when I have a roll of film and have no fucking clue whether or not it's exposed. Sometimes you just have to take a chance.

Yeh of course I still keep "random sentimental crap" lol. It's human nature to want to be reminded of the good times haha.

You should still use that film! Even if you have used it, you'll have some double exposure going on.
