I see a lot of side to side movement of the ball in Voss' arm swing that he didn't have later in his career. He may have been bowler of the year in 88 and considered by Earl Anthony to be the best bowler in the world, but he still got better after this imo.
I see Bob Benoit in the tournament leader position and Mark Roth qualifying #2. This was the event where Benoit rolled his 300. Nice

@DowntownCanon . 22 years after this, Voss is still a touring pro. He shows up here in Europe now as well. Still looks good.

I did too, his game became much nicer as he got older. A very good roll on the ball.

I always seemed to like the way Berardi holds the ball; he appears to "cradle" it.
