Derrick Rose is his own player not even close to Jordan. He is creating his own history in Chicago, im tired of the stupid comparisons. Derrick Rose is a point guard not a shooting guard. Derrick Rose leads his team almost like Jordan but they are no way the same
I remember watching this game with my father. In 1992 I was in my early teens, so this was one of those magical moments from Michael Jordan. I truly, truly, truly feel sorry for all of those who didn't witness this live. Watching it now is great, but when it was LIVE, that was something else.
His domination of the game, his artistry, nobody before or since has even remotely come close. This is when he actually wanted to dominate, and on his nights off he would only average 30 ppg lol.
It's a good thing MJ was feeling in the first half, otherwise it would have been quite the struggle with Blazers that whole game. Even if MJ was averaging his usual 30-35 points in the game (meaning around 15-17 pts at the half), the Bulls would have been down. He was definitely at his best in terms of going for his shots in the first three peat than the second one. He averaged 41 pts/game in the 1993 Finals!!!
When Jordan would fall down at least he'd get his own ass up, as opposed to Kobe who sits their and makes like 3 teammates help him up like he's superior to them
This is a great moment. Also i found funny look at the 9:30 mark. Jordan had his bag of tricks lol Look at him put up his arms and then push off on Clyde's arm to go for the inbound ally lmao Jordan is the g.o.a.t cause he was fundamentally sound, he had the heart and lets be real, he had his tricks to get open. The greatest of all time
IN JORDANS CAREER HE HAD THE FASTEST FIRST STEP IN THE NBA. NO ONE COULD DEFEND HIM. EVERYONE THAT PLAYED JORDAN LEARNED THAT HE CAN NEVER BE UNDERESTIMATED. MJ FOREVER YOU CAN NEVER BE FORGOTTEN
@M00kieMo0 Clyde couldn't guard Jordan. As you can see every player tried to guard him but they just failed. He was so confident with midrange he just shot before D could even set up. Even the great player like Kobe tried to play like this but failed and earned the nickname "kobrick, shot jacker." No wonder Jordan is the star of the all stars.
Best ever, hands down. MJ would still be an all-star, MVP today if time didn't do it's thing. Lebron, Kobe, Dirk, nobody today comes close to this level of greatness. Role the best of Wilt, Connie Hawkins, Julius Erving, Magic Johnson, Dominique, and Akeem into 1 person and you might get half the player Michael was. Great video; best player the sport's ever known and he's letting it all hang out. WOW!!
@Joscope ur getting out of hand with that comment MJ was overrated and in my opinion isnt the greatest of all time and if u think about it urself ul see its pretty close like what do u think makes him the greatest?
damn the 90's were good. Reggie and the Pacers, Bad boys, 1991 lakers, Ewing and the Knicks, The Jazz, the Suns, The Sonics. Later, you had the Magic, The Rockets, best decade for basketball.
The thing to remember is that this was like a Kobe vs. Lebron Finals matchup.
In the five seasons leading up to this game, Drexler averaged just under 29 ppg on 51.4% shooting along with 7.5 rebounds, 6.25 assists and 2.75 steals in eight games against MJ and the Bulls. Nobody else had that kind of success against Mike, and people were seriously saying Clyde might be in the same class as Jordan.
Then MJ simply destroyed him in this game, thus cementing his legend.
Poor Danny Ainge. First in '92 Jordan put on a clinic in Gm1, then in '93 Ainge is with Chuckster and the Suns. Jordan shredded them the entire series with 41ppg. OMG. Really, see the boss at work
The NBA were so less stricter of show boating back then, then now. Like when Shaq tried to do jordan's "waving the finger move" and got a technical on it. Allen Iverson did the same and got 2 technicals.
I could make a joke about players from the Blazers pressing "dislike" but seriously... WHO IN THERE RIGHT MIND WOULD ACTUALLY SCROLL OVER & CLICK "DISLIKE" ON THIS VIDEO??? SERIOUSLY
@ory1994 What I mean is, as a fan this was much hyper to witness. This would be like Kobe and Lebron both in the Finals, and we keep hearing in the media how Kobe is a better shooter than Lebron. Then Lebron goes out and hit 6 three pointers in the first half and 35 points. That was what happened on this day.
for anybody who has ever played basketball and u get in the 'ZONE" its really amazing. your shot your form your body is all in rhythm. ur so comfortable that u feel its nothing u cant do out there. you really dont know ur in the zone while its happening
@nahor88 No they don't , they just dont want it to be misconducted..that was just Mike being Mike. You dont see em T'n up Kobe when he pulls out the underbite..or when LeBrons screams like an animal after a dunk..get real
There hasn't been one player in any sport to single handedly control the game the way MJ did.
Dennis Rodman said: I don't care you can talk about any player today Lebron or Kobe. But when the game is on the line at the last few seconds and Michael has the ball, you know you just know he's going to win the game.
@wwe36912 Yeah and the original chicago stadium was superior for the acoustics....the place gave me chills. The seating was shitty for too many reasons to mention but the noise in that place was unreal not like the current united center.
@pepejosekobe Word, I loved that challenge. Fucking drexler though hit a go ahead 3 in the last minute that gave him 21 points so I had to redo the challenge lol, I was so tight.
@1234PLYER The only thing to dislike about this video is the blazer defense. But they prolly sagged off cuz they said fuck it since he'd make the shots anyway.
MJ scores 35 in the 1st half & only 4 in the 2nd half. If the game was on the line & it wasn't a blowout MJ could of scored over 60 cuz most of MJ's pts come from the 2nd half especially when the game is on the line.
From 6:14-8:27: My favorite sequence of this video. The Pippen steal (Crowd gets LOUD) leading to a fast break and eventually a Jordan put-back dunk (Crowd gets *EVEN* louder). The Drexler airball (Crowd remains INSANELY loud), followed by the 6th and final Jordan three-pointer (The crowd *BLOWS* THE ROOF OFF OF CHICAGO STADIUM) ... From there, "Rock & Roll Pt. 2" kicks in, and the fans are going nuts throughout the entire timeout - Incredible ... Thanks to ForEmily23 for leaving all that in.
when i played this game on 2k11 i thought it was 6 3 points and 35 points in the first quarter lol funny because i actually got it and i made it harder than it had to be
I rebmer this game Jordan could not be stoped

what people tend to forget is that the Blazers came out really on fire and only thanks to MJ the Bulls took the lead.
This game proofs that challenge was all that MJ needed to have outstanding performance.
Before Game1 everybody had picked Drexler as a better 3point shooter, Michael didnt like it, the rest is history.
Jumpman1989 7 months ago

One thing about Jordan's 6 titles that shouldn't be forgotten- he went through some damn good teams in the Finals each time.
