I read from a few bibles but I mostly use the New King James and when I see "God" in the old testament I say or substitute "Elohim" Gods in Hebrew and When I see "The Lord" I say Yahveh and when I see Jesus, I say Yahshua and when I see Christ I say Messiah. For Lord I say Master in N.T.

I read the scripts on 2 different Bibles and they both worded the scripture by using the word (fortune) in substitution of the word (gad/god) how you were saying... This is how it was: "Who spread the table for fortune" Would You Know Why it was written that way on some bibles??

But I also have worked with Deaf people and have Deaf friends and some of them will never be able to utter any name. I agree that the name of the Father is YHWH and Jesus is JHVH and they are Elohim the one true God.

Jesus the Christ is the result of translating Yahshua Messiah into Greek then into English, I have found no evidence of them trying to impose Zeus into Yahshua to make Jesus.

The big thing though is that Yahweh is not the Father's name but our best guess from the unvocalised YHWH. The honor the commandment to not take his name in vain, they stopped using the name YHWH and instead used Elohim.

A good one for a literal translation is the Green's Interlinear, it actually has the Hebrew and the Greek with English underneath so you can know what the original word is. But even this word Adonai is said to have been placed where it shouldn't be. Actually the earliest scrolls have the name YHWH about 700 or more times in the originals. Shalom, We all have had difficulty with the proper pronunciation of Father's name. I have heard of Yaweh, Yahuva, Jehova....... When looking at the Hebrew spelling, we see: Yod, Hay, Vav, Hay. What in Hebrew is similar? Judah is spelled: Yod, Hay, Vav, Dalet, Hay. It is pronounced Yahudah (Yah-hu-dah). I, therefore pronounce Father's name the same, except without the dalet or 'd' sound. Good points. Once we know His name, what a blessing, why not say His name instead of a title. I understand not knowing His true name, I haven't known all that long. But what a blessing to know His name and to see His name in both the old and new testaments.
