Drinking beer when building a computer...

  • DUDE lol your old PC I have the EXACT same right now , wish I could upgrade like you did lol maybe sometime in 2010

  • 8800 series was my favorite. but now ati is taking me for the first time. >.>

  • U SHOULD GET 9600 WAYYYYYY BETTER

  • HAHAHA!

    nice, u got my geforce!

  • i have the same cpu cooler, i have also have a corsair psu, and an asus mobo, nice vid

  • haha DANGEROUS playin in the backgroud. nice choice dude

  • i have the same mb and heatsink only i have an hd4870 :D

  • yeah, i also use coronas for my liquid cooling.

    lol

  • lol, corona helps!

  • LOL i was just about to say,, whered ya buy the carona...

  • came with the install. =)

  • lol here are specs of mine

    XFX 750 i SLI ready

    amd athalon @3.3 ghz (oc'd to 3.8)

    G-SKILL 2 X 2 Gb memory

    EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+

    BFG 550 watt PS

    Raidmax Smilodon

:DDDDD ill be sure to post a vid of her soon... the one on my old profile is my old machine

  • wassup with the corona.

  • funny cuz he has a banana and water by comp witch i have banana and coke right now

  • That's an mid-end rig dude.Cheers.

I got a P5KR anyway and run crossfire 4850 pretty well.

  • I have P5KC too

  • LOL beer GET DRUNK WHILE BUILDING =D

  • i guess the beer is nessary to the build

  • BEER!

  • yeah its a new liquid cooling method pretty badass... xD

  • ur gonna have a beer in ur computer? awesome!

  • You know a single 8800gt is atleast 30% faster then ur 8800gts oc.

  • yes. i found that out a couple days after i built my computer.

  • Consider buying 2 8800gso or 9600gso for 200dollars almost as good as a 9600gt and 8800gt. the ones that are overclocked almost beat the 8800gt stock and beat the 9600gt.

only 100dollars a peice. beats the 8800gts 640 in everthing then heat wise.

  • if u had 2 sure it would beat a 8800 GTS 640 mb but a single GSO would not beat a G80 64o mb

my G80 can play Far Cry 2 at ultra high settings with 2x aa on 1600 x 1200 smooothly

  • 8800gt/9800gt beat a 640mb/320mb.

  • yah I know but thats not what the comparison was. . .

it was between the G80 vs 9600 GSO or 8800 GSO/GS

i think ur on the wrong page

  • i have that same pc....lol so old..hp pavilion..the a630n model..i have 2.5 gb ram and a shit ass xfx n vidia 8500 gt .i overn clocked the fuck out of it...hah i know it seems like a stupid idea 2 overclock a shit card..but i dont lag at all on hl2 or hl2 dm.or source any more,..aha actually helped alot..runs smooth.on all high settings..

  • That cosair ram kicks ass, looks like a good build let us know how it goes

  • it's built. have to check out my other posts. =)

  • sweet

  • yea im gonna build one

  • lol same case at begining LOL IM GETTING NEW PC TO

  • haha. you going to build one?

  • ur old pc is the same as my mates

  • im thinking of getting a new motherboard. Should i get a ASUS P5KC for $240AU or an eVGA 780i for $300? Thanks, i dont think i will ever go SLI because i only need a 19" monitor.

  • why would you spend 300$ on a motherboard anyway? well if i could choose from those 2 I would take the EVGA one.

  • The motherboard is SOOOO important in a coomputer. If i get a $100 motherboard, i would have 2 upgrade within 10 months maximum because of all the bottleneck i would get. If i get a $300 mobo, i wouldnt have 2 upgrade 4 years! It would be very stable for overclocking and would have more features. What ur saying is: 'Why would u spend $670 for a GTX 280?'. Thats an example. Well, because its very future proof, plays all the latest games very wisely etc.

  • Don't know much about computers and your building one. Do your homework before you play man, thats some expensive hardware.

    - Corona ftw!

  • Corona is the best part haha

just for an inspiration break :D

good luck with your build dude

  • is the beer part of the computer lol

  • are those rams the xms2 or the xms rams? thank you :D

  • they are the xms2 =o)

  • lol where do u install the corona beer?

  • lol. computer couldn't handle it, so i had to drink it.

  • nice

  • he is using the corona as liquid cooling mixture.

  • nice comp u gonna build:) but i dont understand why u are going to replace the fans.. cause u have bought the same fans thats stock in the antec 900 ! TriCool. so u wasted money on those fans but nice comp:)

  • totally should not have gone with the 8800gts 640 version should have gone with the gts 512 for the same price it performs alot better, but hey good luck with that system

  • I don't understand why in the year of quads you decide to buy a dual core, it think it's a much better long term investment.

  • And why a GTS when reviews say that the GT8800 is in the same league, if not faster in many cases. That money could have been spent on a quad.

  • quad is more expensive and i was talking in a forum and they suggested my specs. i regret gts. i read about computers for about 4 days and bought all the stuff, because i'm a spontaneous buyer. 1st build... allow for mistakes.

  • More expensive? That depends where you live I guess. In Canada the boxed Q660000 is CAN $245, the boxed W8400 is CAN $239, only 6 dollars difference. But nevertheless, you would have saved anyway by buying the GT instead and even if the GTS would be a handful of frames slower (which I doubt, after reading many reviews), then the 2 extra cores easily make up for that in the long term.

  • Let's face it, things for any quad only get better over a time, things for dual core only get worse. Mind you, I'm not a Q6600 fan (I prefer the Q9450 that I just ordered), but I think it would have been a better option.

  • Btw, don't always listen to those people on forums; most of them are just teenagers, with little experience and often they just repeat what everybody else is saying on the forum without using their brains (and I'm saying that as someone who owns computers since 1979, who had his first PC in '83, whose first Windows was v2.03 and who is system admin./programmer since '87)

  • well.. we didn't talk before i bought my computer and now it's already built, so it's kind of too late and i'm not going to mess with my computer anymore, because i found there's more important things to spend my money on.

  • Sorry, wasn't my intention to make you regret anything. Let's face it, you did make several good decisions and many can't compete with your PC. Take for example your PSU, the Corsair, a good one, at Newegg it's getting the most positive reviews, I got myself one too today. Same with Samsung, we have several Samsung products like LCD monitors and MP3 players and all excellent quality. EVGA? I was a XFX fan, but the EVGA 8xxx products are better if you ask me in the cooling and noise area.

  • Windows Vista 64? Another great choice. I've tried both 32 and 64 bit, 64 bit just runs smoother and more reliable and I had close to zero compatibility issues, the games I tried like Bioshock, FlatOut2, COH, COD4, City Life 2008, etc, no issue at all, also less common hardware like Wacom tablet, USB harddrive, UPS usb connection, all work without issues, had no problems with less common software either like DVD emulator, UPS software, BestCrypt, driver monitoring, etc.

  • driver monitoring=driveS monitoring

  • And as for the Anti-static wrist strap; very wise, I wish more people would do that, would save companies like Newegg a lot of RMAs. Arctic Freezer Cooler 7 Pro is good, but if you ever consider more extreme air cooling, then the Thermalright Ultra-120 is good solution, cools like bests, not too heavy and compatible with almost all boards.

  • how much did that whole rig cost?

  • about $1300-$1400

  • made another video, but want to get a pic of 3dmark first.

  • XD and a beer.

  • Pleas record more videos so i can see how it looks an wolfdale on P5KC and antec 900 :) Checkit out tommorow again :P

  • i don't know... like i said, i don't know much about computers. how much better is it? i got the superclocked 8800gts. people said they were having problems with the new gts and the wolfsdale 8400, so i thought getting something different won't cause me much trouble.

  • why did u get the 640mb gts?? arent u aware that the 8800gt and new gts are better than it? otherwise nice specs

  • nice man

  • thx, can't wait to put it all together
