@PhoenixDeathZ Do you know how to change the setting when you take a photo outside in a night sky? becuase i'm putting it in Auto to take a photo of the stars, it's not clear (can't see tha stars) soo ... do you know what kind of setting to change? Thanks :)
@Tantn13 Eh, it also has a better sensor too. From where I got it, it was the same price, so I might as well have gotten the better out of the same price.
@Tantn13 SX30: CCD sensor. SX40: CMOS (better in low light. SX30: DIGIC 4. SX40: DIGIC 5 (faster). The SX40 has faster continuous photo shooting, 1080p video, and the option of 240fps high speed video. Here in the USA they're the exact same price. Identical? I think not.
brutha, use manual exposure and maybe keep your camera color settings to neutral. and get the right white balance. Your video doesn't look good...over saturated and over exposed. I know it's just a test video but this camera can give some good quality video with the right settings.
I'm sorry, I forgot to mention in the title that I edited this with Youtube's Video Editor. Thank you for the comment, I will change the title to match that.
Thanks! :)
Also, when I get home, I will upload the original video.
What about the noise while zooming? It feels very disturbing if you are doing for example a video during a concert, don't you think? Is it possible to cut this noise while doing a video recording?
@flame642 Ah, the noise. Well, with my type of videos, I don't care much for it. It's not like it's an explosion or anything. As for a concert, I think the music would overcome the zooming noise, rather, maybe. It doesn't bother me too much. I find the noise is noticeable only if I zoom in fast. I usually zoom rather pacingly, since I'm not in that big of a rush.
Work on that hand! LOL There are LOTS of people that zoom in on that cube and keep it steady. Noy hating though! Nice video. I might get this or the S100 for Christmas!
@jacosam62 Yep. I kind of use a technique where I stretch out the neck strap to absorb the shock and keep it from shaking. If I didn't, you would have thought there was an earthquake!!! D:
With my Canon 600d and kit lens 18-55 i got better photo zoom quality after croping. buhaha and its just 3 x zoom

Do not point your camera into the sun - it will fry the sensor.
