I wouldn't doubt whether cloud seeding has something to do with all the extra hurricanes. Just because they can do something technically advanced, doesn't mean it's a good idea. I'm not saying all scientific discoveries are bad, but there is just no concept of how much power they have to change the entire planet...too often for the worst, even with good intentions.
Yep, the more I know, the more I see we are going to get screwed up by our own brilliant (or rather birdbrained scientists). They solve one problem and create ten more. A pill for a headache and 10 disastrous side effects. Cloud seeding and no doubt poisoning something, or screwing up some weather pattern. Build a car and end up making holes in the atmosphere. Blow up some physicist's nuclear device and stay radioactive for hundreds of years. They will be the end of us. Not a wise bone in them.
All technologies are SOLD and MANIPULATED to HAVE ADVERSE AFFECTS so as to be sold and /or create NATURAL DISASTERS for population relocation for the purposes of auctioning off land. EVIL STUFF
This is the most disgusting thing. They say it for the countries that suffer. In reality, Rich countries steal the water the belongs to those who truly need it.
OK, so you seed the clouds. What about the people downwind? Atmospheric moisture is a limited resource. I think large scale desalination is the only real solution.
this method is bad, eventually if man keeps using this way to produce rain there will be less clouds in the atmosphere therefor causing more of the suns light rays getting past that layer and hitting the earths surface causing more heat... zomg global warming.. :O
@TheSpankymonkey Using your kind of logic thats what it might mean to you. Get a brain but being that you named yourself what you did on here, thats something that might be a bit too far of a stretch for you. You seeds of Esau kill me with your comedy.xD
As the mountain ice cap melt faster and faster, cloud seeding will be increasingly necessary. A huge portion of the worlds population get their drinking water for mountain glaciers, once they are gone they will be out of water.
The Columban Glacier in Alaska is one of the larges in the world and it is now moving at 50 feet per day, way to fast for snow fall to rebuild it.
Everyone should see the show "Nova: Extreme Ice". It can be found on the pbs.org website.
@Unit88888888 Lol you clearly don't know about silver Iodide (the main chemical used)... Under the guidelines of the Clean Water Act by the EPA, silver iodide is considered a hazardous substance, a priority pollutant, and as a toxic pollutant.
@nmfirepilot Wow such good research skills to not even be able to check one fact. Even IF you had done the research which you evidently haven't you should post INFORMATION stating such. Such a limited response suggests ignorance.
@e105b5 Actually, thats how I know its not listed. You can find the list of priority pollutants, you will not find Silver Iodide on there. Be careful about making accusations
@nmfirepilot I didn't make an accusation, I stated a fact. If I just typed "no" would you believe me? "Long-term industrial or medical exposure to silver and its compounds may increase blood concentrations of silver to levels which can have toxic effects, such as induction of sarcomas, anemia, and
enlargement of the heart". Silver is on the priority pollutants list in the newer act you cite. Whether this encompasses it's ions or not is irrelevant, it does not change it being a toxic pollutant..
@nmfirepilot ...and a hazardous substance. If you check the older act which was the one I cited in my comment you will find I was correct. Seriously though who writes a comment simply saying "no it's not", did you expect me to just know what classification you were challenging?
Yes, and remember they have secretly roped in the aliens from the planet Dzangorgk-3 into this chemtrail conspiracy, in exchange for releasing the alien dead bodies from the Roswell crash back to them. This can only lead to other aliens from Krangxor, Plethgonn and Xantipp ... also wanting a peace of the lucrative chemtrail action. Who are they trying fool?
Once future historians study the chemtrail conspiracy, we will also have to deal with the time-traveling Poterzebies and Weeblefetzers.
@AshFromCan This has very little ecological effect, the tons pollution we pump into the air from the ground every day from cars, factories, power plants... does thousands of times than anything airplanes do.
well where else should we live? the planets already overpopulated and if we move people from dry areas then we'll just have less living space. P.s. DON'T DO THIS IN WALES!!! We already have enough rain as it is!
all these salts and particles are chemicals which disolve in water therefore it is not pure rain. who knows what kind of crap diseases they'll discover these 'rains' will cause.
when the ice caps melt they melt in to the ocean making the melted water salt water instead of freshwater which actually makes it poisinous to humans if too much is consumed...thats why they are saying water is precious lol
how can the sun decide how much heat it releases the sun is a jiant oversized chemical reaction without any catalyst or anything it doesn't change its rate of reaction. maby if you could come up with a better idea of why summer is getting longer and winter is getting shorter id like to know about it. isnt it logical! hasn't anyone ever payed attention in science or geo class have we all gone f'ing mad! If we fiddle with nature itll colapse on top of us like a jenga tower! it makes me angry!
actually the sun does change its output level. it's every so slight but it has storms and periods of increased solar activity. solar flares on the sun can affect our storms here on earth.
yer but what i was getting at was that the sun's change in its heat level would not be enough to cause a drastic change in the earth temprature, it would probably be lucky to change it by a degree. but i do agree with the solar flare storm thing.
In the real world though, there is no "free ride" so to speak. The water that is pulled out of the clouds where it wouldn't have normally fallen, now isn't going to fall where it would have naturally. If people get too good at seeding clouds and dependant on it, sooner or later some other area is going to be hurting for water.
So, I think the technology should be used sparingly in cases of extreme emergency drought, not just because we can and it would be convienient etc.
linking a computer with greed? you are way off the scale,it doesnt cause me to spend milions a month like china does on cloud seeding, get your facts right before you make a sweeping statement
When you purify ocean water where do you put the salt? There is the problem, if you dump it back into the ocean then there is to much salt which could cause the water to heat up.
Actually dumping the salt back in the ocean would throw the natural salinity into shell shock and destroy coral reefs and fish incredibly fast. Not to mention we would be able to halt mining for salt all together and salt byproducts can be used for sewage treatement.
you can say 'river water is better than rain water', it all depends on which river, and where the rain is falling. Rain in cities may have lots of chemicals from smog in it, rivers may be polluted by industry, as may wells.
My worry is that we're affecting cloud patterns and artificially inflating water supplies, both of which could come to be problems in the future, rather than being smarter about water use.
go look up silver iodides and what they do - you'll see its not a joke - its just not always successful in producing a decent amount of rain (depends how much water the clouds are holding); also the rain can fall in places you don't actually want it to.
yeah that and you disrupt the natural flow of the climate with these techniques, effectively "stealing" the clouds from countries where they would have otherwise went.
turning the clouds into rain would surely make the clouds disappear as the water will be falling. wouldn't this create a new problem, making it a lot warmer? because clouds, like snow reflect sunlight back into the atmosphere making it cooler. surely, reducing the amount of clouds by creating rain would increase the enhanced global warming?
no, rainwater is just pure water , river water contains small amounts of minerals that your body needs, its not that rain water is not healthy, its just that river water is healthier
Clouds just don't permanently disappear. Clouds reform by evaporation of the water by the sun. Plus, this would not really increase global warming by that much if at all, considering clouds and rainfall are a natural occurrence anyway. We cause more problems creating hazardous gases by method of factories and automobiles that get trapped in the ozone layer, which increases the heat that is retained by the Earth.
you got a point, it wouldn't affect the rise of global temperature much but today we are talking about a mean temperature rise of a 1/10 of a degree, not much is needed to make a big difference. the problem is that by constantly doing this there will most likely be a climate change, not just global warming, on a completely different scale. draughts in ares where it didn't use to be and change in vegetation patterns and so on. of course it all depends on how often these alterations will be done
it was used in war years where forces would make it rain over enemy territory so they cudnt transport vehicles. think there was a treaty signed though to prevent it from being used in present and future wars.
Lol....I click on "How humans make rain" and I turned away for a second and it's like, "We start with an egg" And for a second, I'm thinking "How does that make rain?" and then I turned back around and realised it was just a stupid ad, lol.
The salt particles give the water vapour a surface to condense upon. And the water vapour subsequently colase with each other up to a million time to form one rain drop!!
__ I used to make fun of the Rain Dance by the native Americans (Indians).
__ After this video, I do think there's some truth in that dance. Perhaps during that ritual, the believers [accidentally] release some smoke that contains chemicals that trigger the rain cloud.
Yes there may be side effects. But don't hide away just because there might be a problem.
Do what you have to, then deal with whatever problem arises later.
falconmick was just too lazy, to say it the long way thats why he called you a pussy. Have courage and even faith that we can find solutions to any problems we come across. Better to try and fail, than quake in your boots and not have a go.
lol, correct, I just CBF typing a propper responce, lol now I am... and dude, trust me, theres alot of stiffs like you who put regulations in that restrict shit like this, thats what ur good for, just dont say somthings bad without reserching it.. i havent done tons of research, and yes I disagree with some of the things in this (lol raid theft will be the future new articles) but trust me... if u look up the salt they use (cbf remembering what its called) u will see that it is fine
yes we played with trees, cut them down and used them for wood material, not everyone knows but 3 years 9/11 was caused by a pissed of tree brave enough to fight back....just wait until they are comming on instinction, then they will war us right?
Believe it or not, the industry of water production isn't yet commercially viable for a profit, therefor, why would people risk killing people without doing imminence study into the properties of the salt they are using to produce the water, don't you dare use the cigarette argument, that made a profit, thats why they didn't study side-effects. Believe it or not, laws are stronger now and people are not aloud to introduce foreign objects into the environment without permit, which requires...
holy crap, is anyone else sick of seeing fabio and these stupid old spice ads?

The salt particles give the water vapour a surface to condense upon. And the water vapour subsequently colase with each other up to a million time to form one rain drop!!

__ I used to make fun of the Rain Dance by the native Americans (Indians).
__ After this video, I do think there's some truth in that dance. Perhaps during that ritual, the believers [accidentally] release some smoke that contains chemicals that trigger the rain cloud.

i bet u haven't seen what can happen if u try to fix nature and bring it to ur needs!
at least if u disagree tell ur opinion, nut just, pussy, idiot, bla bla..

So what? This planet was fucked the moment humans set foot on it. Ignorant, selfish and unwilling to change for the better.
We're like a virus, we go somewhere, use up all the resources, kill everything in the area, move on and repeat.
