My fish was frozen in ice in pond when it wouldn't go to bottom with other. After it thawed next day. Surpisely it still alive. Hmmm

Its not harmless fish have complex nevous systems and so feel pain and being put in liquid nitrogen for instant freezing would really hurt or even fuck up its nervous system its cruel and pointless.

No, the fish is dying. The freezing ruptures the cell membranes, and they cannot survive once thawed. The muscles work for a few minutes, but with ruptured cells, the cells cannot have any respiration, and they die.

The fish dies within minutes of 'coming back to life'.

This is completely unrelated to 'hypothermic stasis' (where metabolism slows down in a cold-water drowning situation).

The fish was probably in shock, but not hurt. I think their bodies produce a chemical or something so they can survive being frozen. If they were in such pain, they wouldn't move normally afterwards.

@blugal102 It's just like that story of that kid that drowned in ice-cold water on one of the poles. He got stuck under ice, and his brains froze before the braincells could die of oxygen deprivation, so no neural damage was done. When he was restored to normal temperatures, everything resumed and he was still alive and no damage done. A fish is way smaller, so this freeazing happens even faster, so naturally no damage was done to the fish at all, it probably did not even notice a thing.

There was one where some fish were fed pain killers but were still conscious (responsive to visual stimuli) and others were not given them. They were touched by hot wires, and only the ones without the pain killers acted distressed. I'm not claiming that they can feel suffering in any way close to humans, but they can feel physical pain to a point where torturing them for your amusement is unjust.
