@turtleprime Practice! Both individually and together. If you want to focus on originals, then make a bunchload of songs, and use all of the opportunities you've got to spread the word about the band. Also play gigs! I would say that it's more benefiticial to play gigs than to practice individually, because the whole band gets experience, instead of you alone. In other words: Play and have a great time!
